Watching the Aquaman trailer again I notice that the director is James Wan, whom I notice is the guy who did Saw, The Conjuring, and all those . . . . horror films. The ocean can be scary, but I'm hoping the horror background here doesn't influence the superhero movie.

He also did fast and furious 7 which has decent reviews. I think Wan can utilise characters well and does decent set pieces. Recently a lot of horror directors are doing big movies. Doctor strange, Shazam, Godzilla King of the monsters and more. Well I have faith in Wan, decent competent director.

Captain America TWS, Civil War and Iron man 1 still at the top of my Marvel movies. Next is probably Thor Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy and maybe Avengers 1. Top of the next tier is probably where I would rank Black Panther. Still quite a solid movie but so many Marvel movies have been really good and enjoyable. I thought the action was a bit underwhelming as well as some of the CGI. Ryan Coogler is still a very talented director and I hope he learned more about making big blockbuster movies from this experience.

Very weird and unclear. How I interpretated it was that he didn't want his crew to worry about him and weird face was forcing himself to say it. Blurting out that his crew is alive is maybe ok since they don't know which island they are meeting up (shards in mouth and then Luffy breaks it with fist). Only problem BM crew can just tell her they aren't dead and go looking for them unless some secret route to the island or BM too much in rage mode.

Looking forward to Legion. Huge fan of Fargo TV series.

Pretty interesting reads. I did watch the movie twice and did appreciate it more the second time around. Lex did kind of distract/annoy me but during my second viewing I tried to pay more attention to what he was saying and thought he might actually be semi-interesting if you ignore his whackyness? I guess I had more time to digest and absorb everything at second viewing. I do appreciate his lines more.

! So it happens quickly but there's no casualties in the last fight cause they managed to take the fight to a abandoned area.

! For me after thinking about when the movie was over…Superman can hear Lois in other countries but he can't find his mom who wasn't that far away?
! Also I found it weird how close Gotham and Metropolis were. Like literally separated by the water? I had always thought they were like the distance from Chicago to NYC.

1. Don't think mum really talked during kidnapping? Didn't really think she would be in danger before kidnapping? Not too sure about his extent of X-ray powers, where would you begin to look? Under pressure/time constraints
2. I think how Supes powers work in DCEU is that he has to focus? (Example: Always saving Lois cause making sure she isn't in danger, focusing. Means the world to him? He didn't notice the wheelchair bomb. MoS showed that if he doesn't focus everything just comes in and overwhelms him, Zod shows this too)

Just some thoughts. Probably overthinking some things and forcing the movie to make sense on my part.
