Even so, if I had a choice as to whether they made OP into an anime or not, I'd prefer that there was one. I have my complaints with the manga as well as the anime, but in terms entertainment, they both satisfy me more than anything else; why wouldn't I want that extra exposure to such a great series?
This is a funny way of running the fuck around the criticism.
DUR YEAHH BUT ISN'T IT NICE TO JUST HAV IT ANYWAY?
No.
Bleach has one of those animes where you eventually start enjoying the filler more.
I mean yeah stuff has cooled down significantly there but really dude.
That's like me saying that the US doesn't have to worry about terrorism.
But, I mean I'm sorta lucky because here in NI,
We're kinda just never affected by any of that stuff …No Terrorism, bar a few minor events
Hmm yes. This sounds about right.
If Oda dies from swine flu, 40% of Arlong Park are going to become doctors.
The other 60% will commit suicide in a simultaneous act of sperging mourning.
Why the hell is a two chapter fodder nothingness even nominated.
None of you are even going to remember it in five volumes.
I don't really want to see this.
The vaguely European, gothic fairy-tail dark age medieval world Berserk is set in really fits the kind of story it is. Some things like maps would diminish the mystique of the series, even if done well.
And most fantasy maps are not done well. Rather than have the geography dictate the story, far too many stories dictate the geography. We need not look further than Azeroth to see this manifest.
Berserk is light fantasy though, all the heavy fantasy stuff is tied to the astral world.
There's not a damn problem at all with showing us what "Europe" and "Persia" look like on the overall scale.
@Psycho_Kenshin:
And, really, why does this bother you enough to say people who think that are dumb?
Same reason you won't stop following my posts around with your nun paddle.
@Psycho_Kenshin:
Oda himself has said he's influenced by Tom and Jerry.
Until he says in some interview that he got the idea from Spongebob, or cartoon X, it's a harmless assumption to make that he got this particular idea directly from Tom and Jerry.
The interview that article was talking about just mentions how Oda was influenced by cartoons like Tom and Jerry in terms of the character motions.
I used to have that SJ issue.
