Sounds like Chopper died. Nah, Oda did this before and and always have the character survive. Chopper should eat the thierd Rumble Ball and become a great dark beast.
That would be the second time Oda gives Toei another major plothole. Frist it was Zoro cutting the steel early in the series but Oda had it that Zoro never learn that untie the Alabasta arc. Now Chopper in the Davy Back Fight filler ate three Rumble Ball in a row but in the manga if Chopper eats more Rumble Ball without three hours charge then he can lose control and his mind
Since 408 is out next week, will Oda be better enough to do chapter 409 the following week?

Well for starters Chopper is covered in fur. Now look at what Kumidori can do with his hair. Or imagine if Chopper could control the shape of his horns. Or the points he could come up with with Life returns in conjuction with a Rumble ball.

Franky vs. Fukurou is finished! It is good to see the end of the first fight, though the final strike was not as impressive as I thought it would be. Still, the Franky scene still need a conclusion, since Franky did not get the key yet, and the key number will be important to see what Franky does next.

SogeZoro's scene is fun. Don't worry, Sogeking fans, Sogesword will not be his main role in the forthcoming battle. This is Oda's unique comedy going on before the true battle begins. I think Zoro and Sogeking's battles will be the last of all CP9 fights, and as such Oda needs to drag them around so that we don't get the feeling that Soge and Zoro were just running alway all the time as the other battles were happening.

Now Kumadori… Wow, simply wow! Finally a heavy Rokushiki, non-Devil Fruit user who still has special powers. The Fukurou battle was cool, specially the second part where they battled in the water fall, but Fukurou did not use Rokushiki to its fullest. Fukurou is so far the weakest CP9 (even Calipha showed more abilities than him so far). Now Kumadori owns Chopper using all his mighty, and we will finally see Chopper evolve. Like I said in the "Chopper Development thread", I think this arc is made so that every Strawhat goes to the next level, including Chopper, Nami and Usopp. We FINALLY found out the limits of the Rumble Ball, and now we will see Chopper evolving beyond his limited fighting style in a battle against an impressive foe.
So that's it. Now, prediction time:

Since most long fights are three-round matches, I think we will see Chopper's recovery next chapter, maybe some new ability or form born of the abuse of Rumble Ball. The battle will rage on up to chapter 408, when Kumadori will be down.

Next chapter we will probably have a few panels of Franky taking Fukurou's key. Maybe Fukurou is still conscious (but incapacitated) and says something before he passes out.

Also next chapter we will see maybe one short scene of Nami vs. Calipha or Sanji, so that Oda can prepare their battle, which will probably be next after Chopper.

You really discredit Fukuro. What did he do wrong? Considering that he was just a fat human and not a mutant animal or mystic hermit, I'd say he ended up being pretty dangerous. He had Franky to his limit, employing all of the Rokushiki techniques, and a few variations, effectively. Well, not Shigan…because he found out early on that Franky was metal, so it'd probably have no effect. So he used a variant, which worked pretty well.
But I agree that Oda wouldn't clearly define Chopper's limit without having him surpass it.

I like the way you think BF. And reasons for chopper learning 'life returns' then building on it (cos I don't think he'll learn all of it in one battle unless he has practised it before to a degre), is it would make him less dependant on all of his other forms and his devil fruit (so he's strenghtening his natural skills), it gives him more space to evolve and mold it to his own liking and heck it would be unique from the fighting style of the other strawhats. The fact that he says he's read about it gives me hope of him at least devoloping something unique if it's not a form of 'life returns'. Oh and have to say I underestimated kumadori I didn't think he would be so strong the guy looks like he is definately something to be reckoned with it's kinda good nami swapped.

And reasons for chopper learning 'life returns' then building on it (cos I don't think he'll learn all of it in one battle unless he has practised it before to a degre), is it would make him less dependant on all of his other forms and his devil fruit (so he's strenghtening his natural skills), it gives him more space to evolve and mold it to his own liking and heck it would be unique from the fighting style of the other strawhats. The fact that he says he's read about it gives me hope of him at least devoloping something unique if it's not a form of 'life returns'. Oh and have to say I underestimated kumadori I didn't think he would be so strong the guy looks like he is definately something to be reckoned with it's kinda good nami swapped.
We ALL estimated kumadori.
That said, I think if he learned Life Returns, he might not need the rumble ball anymore to transform to extra forms. And he might find some new ones too…

You really discredit Fukuro. What did he do wrong? Considering that he was just a fat human and not a mutant animal or mystic hermit, I'd say he ended up being pretty dangerous. He had Franky to his limit, employing all of the Rokushiki techniques, and a few variations, effectively. Well, not Shigan…because he found out early on that Franky was metal, so it'd probably have no effect. So he used a variant, which worked pretty well.
Maybe I just used the wrong words. Fukurou did nothing really wrong, besides underestimating Franky. It took a long time for Fukurou to fight serious, and he only started to fight really serious once Franky was at full power. Also, Rokushiki is very powerful, and Fukurou did not use it to its fullest. If he used Soru and Shiganned Franky's back, he would give Franky a lot more trouble, for example.
But I like things the way they were. A lot of people around here were convinced that Franky is "too powerful", even comparing him to Zoro or Luffy. Yet, Franky needed a lot of his power to win over the weakest CP9 (and by weakest, I am not underestimating Fukurou, but putting emphasis on how powerful even the weakest CP9 is). Just compare how Franky fared against Lucci (in the hideout in W7) or how Kaku was able to easily knock down Franky with kicks (in Enies Lobby).
So, from now on, we will get the rest of the Strawhats fighting CP9 that use better and better their abilities. I am crazy to see Calipha's, Kaku's and Jabura's fighting styles.
Wano predictions: There will be 5 acts; All Straw Hats will get fights, some in Act 4; Big Mom Pirates will arrive; Carrot will have her moment, but won't join; Yamato will be a Kouzuki samurai and Wano's Guardian; Shanks will visit Luffy in Act 5; Next arc is Mary Geoise.

other than that this chap was pretty great had some funny moments like Zoro once again coming up with a really funny and really retarded plan that solidifies his his rep as the Second least clever strawhat(the first being Luffy):laugh:,
and some good action with a badass Coup de vent finishing off Fukuoru and some freaky new skills from Kumadori

Franky's "Coup de Vent" is basically a "Gomu Gomu no Jet Bazooka" airball that can't be used indefinitely; since Franky hit Fukurou point blank and Fukurou wasn't using Tekkai, I would actually go so far as to say using the move was overkill like in the Blueno incident. As such, Franky is on par with Zoro, Luffy, and Sanji; he might need cola to do most of his special moves, but he's still at least equivalent to Sanji without cola.

Precisely while Fukurou was overconfident. We bash Nero, but Nero was the Rookie and used everything he had against Franky; as such, he was able to figure out Franky's weakness. Though Franky's fight with Fukurou was glorious, Fukurou didn't come to the same conclusion as Nero. That was his downfall; even Blueno realised (albeit too late) when he was totally outclassed.

This Life Returns business is going to be hard on Chopper. To beat Kumadori, you'll not only have to put him down, but when you get him down, you're going to have to keep hammering away at him until he passes out. Barring Chopper going completely off the deep end thanks to Rumble Ball, that's not going to happen. Sanji would be much better suited to this sort of thing as he has no problem kicking a man when he's down.
Though, come to think of it, how strong is Chopper anyway? The only real battle he fought one-on-one was Chessmarimo and I doubt that he was all that powerful.
It also explains why Kumadori hasn't been using Tekkai to block his attacks; he just takes the hit, goes down, repairs the damage with Life Returns, and gets right back up. I wonder if he can use it in combination with Tekkai; if so, beating him would be a real bitch as he could use Tekkai to absorb most (or at least part) of the damage and then fix whatever spills over with Life Returns.

I think he wasn't using Tekkai just because he was caught off guard. Here he uses Tekkai to block Chopper's punch, so it's not like he abandons it.
Speaking of off guard, that's what happened to Franky in the lobby, Deicide. With no resistance, even a lame Bellamy crewmate can floor Zoro. In a good fight I'd bet Franky wouldn't be bowled over like that.
What else….well, Jet Bazooka wasn't an airball, and Blueno never realized he was outclassed (using Tekkai Gou instead of getting the hell outta there).
Like Lucci, I called Nero a wimp, but that's not to say he's a weakling, just not a very bright guy.

Yeah, I forgot that he used it this time. That's why Chopper messed his hand up attacking him.
On the other hand, I really don't see why he would have been so caught off guard in those other instances. Other Rokushiki users have used Tekkai with less warning time; of course Kumadori may just have slow reaction times by comparison.

That reflects poorly on Blueno as he was clearly losing to Luffy even without Gear. Of course, he could have beaten Luffy easily enough early on if he had just used his Doa Doa Fruit seriously rather than showing off. Once he revealed what it could do though, he lost his ace in the hole.

I'm curious as to how Nero compares to the rest of CP9 in terms of pure strength. He took a Ultimate Hammer right to the face from Franky (which might have used up as much as half a bottle of cola in fuel) and got back up almost as quickly as Fukuro did from a Strong Hammer to the gut.
