Oda states that he will aim to publish chapter 1000 for the WSJ of monday, december 21th 2020
One Piece chapter 1,000 official countdown on Twitter!!
-
-
Real Eiichiro Oda message in last Jump ToC, he didn't say any specific date for chapter 1000
-
I mean, they’re basically the same message if there’s no WSJ on December 28. Aiming for chapter 1000 to be released before the end of the year, so at the very latest in the issue coming out on December 21
-
Cool. Update the first post with all the images as they come out, please. It will look cool in the end, and it will be easy to check them all out later.
Next: Franky.
(Does this means Jinbe's official color is beige?)
Its brown…
The combination of all black and grey of Brook is quite impressive.
-
-
Nope, that's beige.

Brown is way darker.
Beige is way lighter than that.
they just picked a lighter brown to make Jinbro more visible I suppose, kinda like how gray is present in Brook's.
-
Beige is a shade of brown anyways.
-
Brown is a curious color. Has Jinbei ever worn clothes with that shade?
-
@Johnny:

It's the color of his eyebrows/sideburns/hair stripes…
-
My graphic program says it's "very soft orange", lol.

I like it, especially with the complementary color blue (scroll down a bit).
-
I was pretty sure his color is going to be Aquamarine because that's the color of an ocean wave's Green Room. Oda really is the only person who can answer this question. Hopefully we can get a confirmation from the next SBS.
-
It's the color of his hair. The black seems to be Jinbe's version of our hair graying for some reason, at least that's how it appears to me. Note that the picture of Jinbe as a child that Oda drew in one of the SBS has completely light hair and in the flashbacks, his tips are light, while the roots are black. The anime fucked this up for years, basically until Whole Cake. Oda, though, has been pretty consistent with this color, though occasionally it seems to have a bit more gold in it. This is something I've thought about for a decade, lol, so it was nice to see them finally get it right in the anime.

He has a brown belt in the latest Colorspread.

Brown is essentially a mix of orange and black, and beige is a very light brown.

If we go by ;
01-Gold Roger
100-Dragon
500-Rayleigh
1000-Gaban(?), Maybe Seagull at the very least. That one shadow stalking Jinbro and Robin could lead into the introduction of a very important character.
I'm also not yet convinced that Hitetsu was supposedly waiting for a random person to give Oden's swords away. he really made it sound like it's waiting for someone in particular.
-

I thought it was confirmed he was waiting for Momo and Hiyori as they were meant to be gifted a sword each. That's why Hiyori was allowed to give it to Zoro.
-
Maybe he was waiting for that one dude with the cape that was on Neko's boat and people thought it was the same guy from the Crocus cover. Wasn't there a theory he's Shimotsuki Kozaburo? That would make sense if he was waiting for a fellow swordsmith.
-

That just makes it extra weird, starting by how exactly did he know both of them were alive.
And Momo was already there tho.

While it may be a possibility, I feel it was not made clear enough that the specific person he was waiting for was Momo. I feel the scene in which he offers the swords would make it very clear.
I think Hitetsu may be waiting for something more specific. Someone who would be seek him in that specific location (reason why he stayed there). If it were just Momo and Hiyori, he could go to them when they reappeared.
This will probably be clarified in Act 5.
-
Has anyone ever wondered how Hitetsu is aware(in an isolated nation) of the method to give inanimate objects a devil fruit(?), A method discovered specifically by Vegapunk.
I'm telling u guys, this man means business right here.

More likely Xebec.

He believed that at least Momo was alive because he believed they would come forward 20 years. This was shown through Tama who also believed the same thing.
And I would assume he didn't know Momo had come back yet, at least not until Act 2 but obviously the sword is too strong for Momo to handle currently so wouldn't make sense to give him now.
-
So, there's a confirmation on if there's a chapter this week or Mangaplus is correct and we have a two week break?
-
It's interesting that, except for Jinbe, every other crewmate is being presented in the panel of his very first interaction with Luffy.
Could this mean something, or is it an arbitrary rule? Place your bets!

Chopper's panel is his first interaction with Nami in chapter 139.
-
Sooo…Chapter 1000 coming in 2021 after all :ninja:
Still looking up to it, though. And thanks for bringing in those pictures

Thanks for the correction.
Still their very first appearances, thought. (Except Jinbe's).

Also not true, Chopper got a proper introduction box in chapter 134

Well, and technically Franky also appeared way before that image, but hidden under a mask. It's the same thing: despite Chopper being in plain sight, at that point his true nature as a human-reindeer hybrid was hidden. This is more about when the characters reveal themselves to the Straw Hats and the readers.

I deliberately didn't mention Franky's first appearance as another counter argument since I wouldn't count disguised appearances as well. But Chopper is not disguised, his reindeer form is even his true form technically. If you want to get super pedantic, it's also not the first panel where his "true nature as a human-reindeer hybrid" was displayed. Before, he appeared in three panels albeit from behind. Then one full-body panel with a shocked face fault, then another panel with a close-up of his face. and THEN the panel from the countdown campaign.
Nevertheless, you should notice that you keep moving the goal post so maybe your pattern doesn't make much sense. But we will see in the coming weeks what panels will be chosen for the other Straw Hats -

Sure, but then we don't have any objective estimate if Jinbe's panel is seen as his debut/reveal or not and therefore sticking out. Also, Usopp's scene in the colorspread nowhere near resembles his first appearance, neither his full body + intro box reveal nor his first interaction with Luffy, Zoro and Nami.
To me, there are simply too many irregularities between the Twitter campaign panels and the colorspread to form a pattern in which Jinbe is supposedly to stand out -
I think chapter 1000 is going to be Luffy declaring he will be pirate king.
-
Chapter 1000 might be act 3 ending with Luffy reaching Kaido ready to have his second round with him.
With the scabbards defeated. Which is fine by me as long as we get to actually see Kaido beating down the scabbards.
-
itll be interesting to see if we get vivi for the next page, this is her chance.
-
The next page is of course Carue, the page after that is Johnny and Yosaku.

I personally think Act 3 is going to go way past 1000. It just doesn't feel like we're reaching reasonable endpoint so soon.

I think if act 3 is ending soon or not depends completely if on act 3 is the climax or not. If act 3 is the climax it´s not ending soon since most real fights haven´t started yet but if act 3 is not the climax it can end soon.
I´m feeling personally act 4 will be real climax time so i think act 3 can end soon.

The thing Luffy does every 5 chapters is gonna make the special chapter 1000, i would laugh my ass off
-
If done on an epic stage towards Kaido and Big Mom, whilst rallying the troops. It could be very meaningful in terms of how far the series has gotten. Chapter 1000, Luffy declares his goal towards his biggest obstacles yet in the piracy world. The emperors, face to face, ready for the final confrontation.
It even feels like it is building towards it with Luffy saying that the Scabbards should be the ones to start the raid. As in Luffy has not taken the front stage yet.

Presentation panel again. Looks like Deicide is right.
-
I guess there will be 4 more chapters this year.
Chapter 996 - 11/22 - Usopp image of him presenting himself to Luffy/Nami/Zoro on the beach.
Break - 11/29
Chapter 997 - 12/6 - Nami image of her on the roof, talking to Luffy in her debut.
Chapter 998 - 12/13 - Zoro image of him strapped to a pole.
Break - 12/20
Chapter 999 - 12/27 - Luffy image of him cheering after defeating the Lord of the Coast.
Break - 01/03Chapter 1,000 would be the first of 2021 if that prediction is right.

Yes, so that Kaido again blows him away and Luffy start his attack anew. You know by now that it is always 3rd attempt which works against top guys for Luffy.:ninja:
That said, you have good chance to be correct with this prediction considering the current set up.

I heard we’re getting a chapter early This week, is there any particular reason for that?
