Vegapunk is an enigma, on one hand you have franky's admiration for the guy genious, the whole "I'll make this island inhabitable", him respecting Kuma's last wish, and him comdemning Caesar, but on the other hand he did erase Kuma, and it doesn't take a lot of moral fibber to be disgusted at Caesar.

After Jimbe and Dadan, I think that he's the Namedroped character with most wait time. I think that Kaido already overtook Dadan, though.

Was he namedroped during Koby's exposition at the end of Water7? His lab and work was referenced earlier with Lasso, but the name, I remember it around that time.

Onigumo was trusted to transport Ace from Impel down to MF, he also managed to handcuff Marco, Marco is admiral+yonko level 'cause he didn't die like Ace or lost an arm like Jozu(lol), Onigumo is no ordinary vice admiral, he's a lot more likely to end up being Zoro's vs by the time crushing Akainu's nightmare comes.

If 1 admiral goes down before the final war, my bet is Green Bull. Kizaru was introduced years ago, part of the original trio so I think he will be saved for last. Green bull is likely the less important admiral.

There was a cryptic post/talk from Greg during the podcast about some SBS, where he was relating the Admirals, past present and hypotetical, to the chinese zodiac, (and saying Aokiji is a rooster because it needed a little stretch)

That Dog Monkey and Bird were on a side of the chart, and Tigger and Bull were in the other side in opposition, and Pig and Bunny were close by (Hypotetical admirals Brown Pig and Pink Bunny, sbs style half joke sugestions), there's also a Sheep/Goat in the Zodiac (and mouse and dragon, but I don't think that Nezumi got this far in his carreer, or that Dragon is a dropout (of this high caliber))

The point is that during some article writting or something, there was a little weird talk in that chapter of the podcast that sounded like "Since when you were under the impression that there need to be only 3 admirals". If you want to find it and debunk me, find what sbs's volume is that, and then find the podcast episode.

Also, while Writting about this, I came to realize that a Rat zoan would be a very nasty opponent, flexible bones, though as fuck teeths, whip like tail, nasty bite, and a small and safe compact form for escapes, or to abuse the terrain and jump from above.

There's no doubt that Dragon had some knowledge of the goverment or global perspective of the issues that it causes to the world, and given Garp's actitude to his grandsons, there would be a presedent.

I see him as a goverment officer rather than a straight up marine though, and even if he was, he'd dropped out before Rear Admiral, as Drake was infamous enough to have that detail noticed.

Going in a tangent here, there's the whole "Why use 9+1 polices", where like: one for assassination and dirty stuff, 4 for each sea, two for the grand line, and one for exclusive use of the nobles. Or they are divided by tasks, rather than regions? I'm not clear in the reasons of the existences of cp1 to 8 other than justify the numbering of cp9.

Isn't it one for each of the Blues, four for the Grand Line, a secret one for dirty work, and now CP0 for the Nobles? Pretty sure 5-8 are the Grand Line Cipher Pols, going by Jerry, Wanze, and Corgi. CP0's operation isn't too clear to me though.

Strangely enough, Zoro's missing eye has not caused him any issues to be considered a handicap. Although adding depth perception to someone who has direction problems may be seen as overkill. Also he apparently doesn't have blindspot problems when fighting.

It's not about been scared. They didn't want that confrontation at that point and it's normal for pirates to run away from Marines. Mingo's crew ran from Tsuru several times. It doesn't mean Tsuru was powerful than the entire family.

Just wanted to say that every time Whitebeard pops (hehe) in a conversation, despite what the argument is i always get emotional remembering him.

Also, by applying the power level logic to the story, if the admirals/marines were stronger than the yonkous, then the latters wouldn't control the NW and the marines would take over. And if we talk about 1 vs 1 fights, it always boils down to what powers they have and how they fight: if for example there was an admiral with the Gomu Gomu no Mi against a yonko with the Goro Goro no Mi, then the former would probably win, and viceversa. But since we don't know the full extent of the current yonkous powers/strenght it's useless to debate it.

Judging from what the Gorosei stated about the Shichibukais, it was intended that they at least needed something more than just the marines to counter balance the yonkous (maybe at the time before the new directions of Sakazuki's marines?), and if Fujitora is about to dismantle that balance we don't know what will happen.

The marines and Admirals are essentially limited in numbers and by the law itself (if often in the breach).

Not to mention that that's 7 very powerful pirates they don't have to divert resources to shutting down.
I've presumed this is the first generation of the Shichibukai created and would be extremely interested in how they were formed.
It wouldn't surprise me to see it as an answer to Dofla's status first and the others because they did have a vulnerability; Hancock & Jinbei to keeping their people free, Mihawk because he was so obviously apolitical.
How the others were chosen or convinced, especially Kuma, fascinates me.

It happened backwards, Mighty Onigumo put the handcuffs on Marco ang then he got shot by Kizaru, the shots affected him thanks to the Kairouseki on the handcuffs.

What? WB was on the verge of death and absolutely destroyed Akainu or whatever his name is. In fact, i bet most of you thought he was dead and he would've been if not for the plot armor. 1v1 wb would've defeated any admiral except maybe kizaru just bc of his speed

Either way, it's still a distracted Marco rushing to his boss. This manga have showed many times that VAs are fodders when it comes to top end pirates. Granted there are exceptions, like Luffy's grand, his reputation precedes him.

As I said we are around 3 chapters into volume 78 as 77 ended with end of chapter 775. I expect volume ending Dressrosa to be 12 chapters long, would be amazing to read so many of chapters in one go.

So we have from 7 to 9 chapters left for volume 78- Oda will most likely wrap up Bellamy part in next chapter and then Trebols and Doflamingo fight are left for 6-9 chapters.

More than enough I guess. Then next volume or better two for Zou and journey to Wano with some of Shadow Brokers conflict on a way. Then volume 80 being start of Wano.

And Akainu at that. A guy who could probably rain lava on them for a distance, and they are on a burning island to begin with.

Even if they beat him, they would have a lot of casualties, and that's something Blackbeard couldn't afford right at the start of his NW adventure. And even if they beat him, what would be their prize? A charred battleship?

They along with sanji are often used to hype other guys but are nothing close to weak, besides the ones that have been getting wrecked are good ones that were doing nothing wrong but their jobs(Smoker, Maynard, Strawberry, Bastille), the douches are hardly shown being wrecked, Onigumo still surviving the vice-admiral-fodderization, being despicable, spider swordsman and theorically getting along with Akainu's douchebagness as well. Totally gonna be for Zoro.

After the incident with Magellan, and Sakazuki going toe to toe with Whitebeard, killing Ace and repelling the attacks of several WB commanders…that was the only sensible action to take.

There was nothing to be gained from fighting Sakazuki at that point and everything to lose.

You have to ask yourself how good a chance they would have to have for battling Akainu to be worth it.

By your logic, even if they stood a 1% chance of victory then they should stand and fight to get a DF that they might be able to get in the future, in a situation that suits the Blackbeards more.

It doesn't make any real logical sense.

Especially when we've seen how much of an opportunist Teach is.

At the time he hadn't full mastery of the gura gura so it wouldn't have been a smart or cautious move. Would he really want the df just lying around since then, I don't see him as that trusting.
We still don't know if being able to consume to DF is a personal quirk of his body, an effect of the yami yami or a different technique entirely, such as the one used to give df to inanimate objects.
We don't really know if Blackbeard even is stealing devil fruits or it's one of those rumours that Oda loves using to play on our expectations.

Doflamingo has a pretty awesome voice. Also, while not the best animation ever, from that one scene I don't get the complaints about the animation. Looked fine enough to me, and for a long running series you probably don't want to use the greatest animation, as that will take a lot more money.

That episode is one of the "better" episodes. Complaints come from many examples of awful episodes before it.

And that's not an excuse, really. With the vast amounts of money they make from the series, they could afford to make a consistently animated series. But nope, they don't, because of rushed schedules that come from the upper levels of the company. It's not like the series has to be long running either.

The voices and music are the only good thing about it, really.
