What's the point of 11 supernovas of the new generation if only 1 beats the old generation?Well, you have BB taking out Shanks and surely the first Yonkou will be a massive team effort by multiple supernovas.
And given how its almost canon that the SHs will defeat Akaninu, BB and Mihawk, I'm not even sure, that Luffy will fight so many other Shichis or Admirals. I can even see the conflict with either BigMom or Kaidu resolved without a clear defeat. And we need some other pirates/vizeadmirals and so on as arc enemies as well. There is simply not enough room for him to challenge multiple top opponents. -

C'mon, almost every well balanced fight in One Piece features good and/or bad guys flying into a wall.
That's how they turned the tower of justice into a swiss cheese. Before the Buster Call that is.

If that was the case, I would not post it to begin with. Things I don't really like, I regard with cold indifference, not heated critique. I'm only passionate about things I love and enjoy.

What is meant is that Luffy should eventually battle them one on one, not right now. Doflamingo is a good step in between to show that Luffy can also beat a stronger shichibukai alone when he goes all out. Beating Doflamingo with Law's help would make the victory seem not much of an achievement after two years of training, considering he beat two shichibukai alone pre timeskip. Even if Doflamingo is probably a whole lot stronger than those two, it will make the victory feel underwhelming.

Luffy is still growing you know. Roger himself didn't become the Pirate King in one day, he still had trouble with Newgate and Garp.

Doffy is particularly that part of the New World Luffy needs to be able to handle, and I mentioned Teach and Zakasuki just because it's strange, just like say Luffy will beat Teach and Zakasuki by himself; nodoby bats an eye, say Luffy will beat Doffy by himself; boom, massive rage all over the forum.

You make it sound like Luffy won't be struggling if he has help. Don't underestimate Doffy. If it ends up being Luffy+Law vs Doffy, I still see them all going all out.
I'm perfectly aware of Doflamingo's strength, I'm just saying I want to see Luffy pushing his limits in a 1 vs 1 fight. I know that even if both Law and him fought together, it would still be a difficult battle.
But you also shouldn't understimate Luffy, Crocodile and Lucci too were beasts and Luffy still surpassed them. It wouldn't bother me to see a team-up, but I believe Doffy is a perfect stepping stone in Luffy's way to become Pirate King, and I don't think it would be impossible for him to win alone, in fact I'm pretty sure it is what's going to happen at the end of the arc.

That's not it. Oda does not "get sick all the sudden" every moth.
After he got hospitalized some time ago, he was made to take breaks more often to prevent getting worse.
It its usually 3 weeks of work then one week off., not including the Japan's holidays or the magazine's time off. -

oh sorry i edited out parts of my post so that wasnt clear, i didnt meant to say hes fighting them solo
i was guessing to keep up a fitting growth in luffys strenght it would go something like this:luffy vs dofla 1:1
(luffy vs top commander blah strenghwise on a level between doffy and kaido)
luffy + law vs kaido 2:1
luffy vs weakend Big Mom (bc. of KHA-Alliance) 1:1
or teaming up with KHA too, who knows -

I prefer the situation where Law goes ahead while Luffy has a brief fight with Trebol. Cavendish intervenes and lets Luffy pass. Only to find law about to be killed by Doffy.
Then a good ol Haki imbued jet pistol to start the fight.

Oda has the element of magical recovery to heal his characters, that'd be no problem, and then I think we have 2 options to get Law out of Luffy's way, either Becca loses/breaks the key or the flashback brings back Corazon's ghost and Law's nightmares.

- Dressrosa: Instead of breaking the cast up into chunks for us like he did with Alabasta, Oda makes pretty much 3 moving plots that each are meant to do what the others did. Trafalgar's group/Sanji is the "Little Garden" meeting more key players, the Coliseum is our "Drum Arc" meant to be a break from the main plot, and then everything after that is our Alabasta. Problem is, instead of serving this to us in consistent well paced chunks, we've instead gotten the scattered maybe 10 panels of each group per chapter that makes no sense. Also, he now has to cram almost the whole Donquixote Family into these scattered plots, making them just feel like wall decorations half the time. Lao G is doing… what?
Punk Hazard was actually more similar to Little Garden.
And it seems people still haven't understood that when subplots are connected to other subplots, transitions are supposed to happen. Dressrosa's subplots don't happen in isolation from each other, so you can't have well-paced chunks when one event is being dependent on another event happening somewhere else.
Example from the latest chapters: Luffy had to stay at Level 3 so that Robin could catch up to him and Rebecca could have her fight at Level 4. That's why Luffy spent so much time at Levels 1 and 2. You couldn't just have Luffy skip one level per chapter.
Combine that with the fact Oda doesn't seem willing to let the Dwarves/Coliseum competitors sit in the background like he should and we end up with an arc that while fun and entertaining at times, certainly feels slow and scattered.

So Oda should just make characters to have them in the background instead of making them do stuff like, you know, characters?

DD is not the average arc boss. Even with the 2 years, luffy din't have that easy time with hody or cc, who should be the average arc bosses. DD was introduced years ago, he was there in the war of the best and able to tango with them, he clashed with admirals, beat/play with some vice admirals like it was nothing.

And it's not like beating Crocodile made Luffy set the bar higher than Warlord level. Bellamy? Foxy? Blueno? Rob Lucci?

law will probably get one good shot on doflamingo and he will be put down for good while luffy handles the rest. luffy will beat doflamingo but kaidou will put an end to doflamingo for good. does that include murdering his entire crew like he did to moriah? maybe. i can even see a scenario where kaidou and his crew destroys doflamingos crew and severely beats doflamingo but cp0 saves doflamingo because another world noble wants doflamingo alive for some reason.

I always dug that Lucci fight because it was just a battle of pure strength. They were equally matched. Crocodile had his fruit, but otherwise appeared inferior in terms of strength.

After a full two years I would like to see Luffy take Doffy down alone, Luffy is long overdue a main fight against an equal and Doffy fits the bill nicely as I don't think the majority of Vice Admirals will be able to stop him and he isn't ready to face an admiral yet.
Doesn't mean I am going to get it of course.
I also want to see a main fight for Zoro, I just don't think Pica is really up to it. The only reason Pica is still standing is due to being able to move around through the stone using his fruit. I just don't think Pica has the juice to be able to take Zoro out and its just a matter of time.
Whereas Franky vs Senor Pink is shaping up to be a great fight and of course the winner will get the groupies at the end. The rest of the fights are pretty meh really.
I think zoro has to wait at least 1 island, there will be coming a island filled with samuai. i think that will be zoros time to shine. they want his sword back and he proves he is worthy to wield it.

I don't expect much for the supernovas themselves. At this point Luffy as already kick 2 shichibukais, cause the destruction of Ennias Lobby, create a break-out at Imperel down and participate at the submit war. That's someone fucking up the world balance. I expect the 11 to at best help him do so.

I know the feeling. I don't know where you are, but I grew up in USA and the comics here use the term for that definition,, instead of standard 30 pages, they were 50-60 pages.
So I was confused -and more than a little disappointed- when I first heard the term applied to the OP (and I'm assuming other manga) chapters. -

Sounds good to me, I don't mind if Zoro has to wait until Wano. Pica is just not cutting it as far as I am concerned.

I'll be honest, I was hoping for Fujiota to utterly outclass Zoro in a fight. Not because of my marine fanboyism, but because his confidence long step beyond the realms of confidence and into outright arogance. I was really hoping he would bring him down a peg.
Alas, Sabo happened. Sabo is such a killjoy for me this arc.
