Kaido lived up to his hype. This man kills himself as a hobby.
The fact that Shanks was able to hold him off is crazy.
His presence is overwhelming. This is probably the only villain Luffy will need an ass pull to beat. I wouldn't even be mad.

People like to hype the yonkou up to much
Doffy was shown to be afraid of Kaido and the one piece fans think oh that must mean that Kaido is way way stronger than him. I think that's not the case.
My theory is that Doffy isn't that far below Kaido in terms of strength. No I think the reason he seemed so afraid of angering Kaido is not because he is scared of him but because his own crew is weak and smaller compared to Kaido's crew. He was mostly scared of Kaido coming to dessarosa with his crew and obliterating his crew and him
I'm sure Doffy can hold his own against Kaido in a 1 on 1, but when it's s full crew war his crew gets called then its Kaido and his crew vs Doffy. You can already guess the outcome
We need those gladiators to push this arc from stretching any longer.
Sabo should keep his perfect little hands off Dofla.
I assume Dofla will play with gladiators a little, then mess them all up, after which SH and closer allies will be the ones to try and hold him back.
Preferably Zoro as a last line of defense.
To see how he measures up with Sanji. :ninja:
Wouldn't really count since Zoro would be going up against a half-dead Doflamingo while Sanji fought a fresh nearly 100% strength Doflamingo.
Why are people so interested in Gear 4 having multiple forms? It already seems extremely powerful as is, and so far only Zoans have really had different forms. Is it just continuing backlash against the appearance?
Well why else would Luffy name the gear Bounding Man? He hasn't named any of his previous gears
Luff: Gear Fourth Bounding Man << that right there tells me that we could see more forms
Guys what if Gear 4 has different forms?
When Luffy Transformed he said Bound(ing)Man which sort of suggest that he has other forms.
My theory is that his different forms for Gear 4 are inspired by his animal friends during the time-skip.
The Lion, Crocodile, and Gorilla.
!
This chapter we have witnessed the Gorilla. What a coincidence that Luffy looks similar to the Gorilla. Gorillas are known to have immense strengths and this version of Gear 4 gave just that.
So going by that what are crocodiles known for? Lion? Most people would say crocodiles bite force and Lions roar. So I think those will be moves for each version.
So the next two versions of Gear 4 will be inspired by the Lion and Crocodile.
Edited
Gear 4 will be stronger than gear 2 and faster than gear 3.
Luffy's gears need to be balanced out so none of them will become irrelevant.
Lets not forget that Oda had to handicap Franky for him to have a decent fight with Senor Pink.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I guess Joz could have a cyborg arm by now.
Kid has some weird metal vein looking things along his shoulder and chest area, making me think that his metal arm isn't just something controled by his ability.
Then there's Scotch with a minigun instead of an arm. Maybe there's a person or more persons or a group that is handy with cybernetics in NW.
A cyborg arm wouldn't look right for his character because he looks like an ancient warrior.
I think Sanji would benefit the most if he stopped with his chivalry. It really holds his character back.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Someone mentioned it earlier, but gear four is going to be a unique way Luffy utilizes his rubber body to become stronger and won't have anything to do with haki. If it is just mix gears two and three infused with haki then I'll be disappointed.
Sanji's chivalry defines his character though. The only time it's held him back was Ennis lobby where he almost died fighting Kalifa.
I can't believe I have to argue that a toy showing enough speed to deal with humans is a big deal.
I mean yeah, the soldiers are useless. But he's a toy. A small one-legged tin soldier.
It was clear that being a toy weakens you even if you are not bound by a contract. And yet he was pretty much invincible to anyone but the Doflamingo executives. To be honest, this is the first time I have heard someone say Luffy's CoC display at Fishman Island was not a big achievement.
Didn't Oda say Shanks would would have defeated all 100, 000 with Conqueror's haki alone. Who here doesn't consider that when speculating over Shanks's strength?
Yes being a toy does weaken you a lot considering Kyros didn't stand a chance against an officer. Though since Kyros was the only toy to ever have free will and have time to be accustomed to it we will never know. I'm guessing being superhuman helps.
Not saying Luffy knocking 50,000 fishmen wasn't an achievement
