Would Oda recycle drawings? Re-draw them, maybe, but I don't think he would just copy+paste and add colours.
Volume 76 Predictions/Discussion

The colors and layout make this a pretty unique cover.
Some of the recycled faces though, I don't know. . .
. . . And did Kinemon just get shafted? Hell, Farule got in . . .
Well, Kin'emon didn't do much in those chapters.
That fucking horse actually had more screentime and role.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Looks really nice, loving Kanjuro and Usopp
Sabo's pretty funny and Zoro… Well, Zoro is being himself, which is pretty badass. I'd have liked a more threatening or smug Bartolomeo, but I'm okay with him.
Doesn't Luffy's face seem a bit strange, though ? It's not that I don't like it, but he looks like someone else than Oda drew him. He's giving me Natsu vibes.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
By the way, none of the faces are reused. They're all redrawn. I've checked.
-
Farule has more right to be smug on this cover than Robin.
-No Kinemon
-No Koala
-Giant Crying Rei
-Leo for some reasonI liked fanart better, it had such hilarious faces…
-
Usopp holding his Super Mario plant looks awesome, too bad it's covered by the green speech bubble….
Apart from that, "meh".
-
You gotta admit its a good way of including so many characters but I don't understand the choice of colours. We've never had that before and I don't remember a rainbow mentioned in dressrosa..Edit: volume 53 had a rainbow.. Not on characters thoughFuck, usopp is gonna get covered up by viz. why!!
-
It looks unlike any other covers, but i cant say i like it very much…
-
I don't really like the cover.Feels fanart-ish. And kinda lazy.
-
I'm disappointed
-
I like it.
It's drawn really well, everyone has a nice pose, and it's pretty unique when compared to other covers.
I can't catch what's wrong with it.
-

Fanart-ish covers are those that try to focus too much on the serious aspects instead of being original like this one.
Really, I think this might be one of Oda's more "artistic" covers.
-
It looks really nice and unique. Not as overcrowded as most volumes nowadays.
-
I think this one's great. Unique layout, nice colours (rainbow theme, even in the title!) and the faces manage to invoke a bunch of different scenes from the volume without giving away too much or making things to crowded. Of course, my predictions for everything were way off, but when the real one is this good I don't mind at all. Bravo Oda.

What I meant, is kinda similar to the photoshop graphics I see on tumblr. Where a specific panel is taken and coloured in a monochrome way. Something along the line.
On second glance, it's not that bad. Though it's kinda overcrowded.
Personally, I think I seen better cover from Oda. But that's just me. -
OMG I like it!! SO unique!!!

I've come to the conclusion that most posters don't know what they want for these volume covers.
This is probably the most unique One Piece cover we've had in years, so that alone gives it extra merits.
-
It has a nice idea behind it. Dressrosa characters in rainbow. Interesting idea, it's different from the usual.
@Jabra:Usopp holding his Super Mario plant looks awesome, too bad it's covered by the green speech bubble….
It's gonna be blocked out even more in the Viz release, I'll bet.
-
Maybe the next volume is going to be the same layout, but with the Donquixote Family.
A call back to Alabasta and Enies Lobby, pehaps?
-
I rarely really complain but only thing about cover is that it looks like Ussop is looking at Rebecca boobs as she cries.. Oda could put him on other side of cover this time

The volume numbers don't block out as much as people like to suggest. I'm more disappointed about losing the colours of the title text.
I don't hate the way Viz does that most of the time, the colours they use tell the saga the volume is a part of, which adds a nice bit of consistency to things, but there are times the original colours do something cool like this, or the fire in volume 57's cover, and that's not so good.
(Not to mention that as far as the saga thing goes, they base it on what saga the last chapter of the volume is part of, which makes some, like v32 and v50 feel like they've been miscategorised, and deciding to label the Whitebeard War saga by its individual arcs instead of making it all one thing)

I like how they are all standing within Sanji's eyebrow. Good job Oda.

No no no! Usopp is a perv! He's not as bad as Sanji or Brook, but he's still a pervert. Franky is called a pervert but its as an exhibitionist path, while Usopp is the classic closet perv/ high school regular boy with interest=
When people are looking at Sanji or Brook to do something lewd, Usopp surprises people with suddenly doing something like asking Nami if she's gonna take more cloths off (at end of Little Garden), when walking in on Nami in the shower, he bows and says thank you (anime Thriller Bark), when he learns of Brooks spirit manifestation and knew he went to spy on some ladies, Usopp yells that he jealous or when he reprimanding one of the bigger pervs, he mumbles he actually understands.
Of the other guys on the cover, Usopp is the one that's shown to be perverted so his looking at Rebecca's boobs is not out of the ordinary ;)

Sanji never left the story after all. lmao
-
so, why rainbow? there's must be something, right?
-
@DēBON!!!:
so, why rainbow? there's must be something, right?
I do have an idea, but half of them doesn't have any star. So it doesn't work.
-
After rain there is rainbow so.. maybe they are hope for rain / sadness to end ?
I would guess its something like that

Well, Kanjurou's nickname is "The Evening Rain", and he appears in this volume, so maybe it' small connected, lol.
That's a really nice cover, probably the most unique out of all. Still, the cover of volume 50 surpasses it.
-
Well, thats one way to make a cover for a volume thats mostly a bunch of micro-scenes of a gajillion different characters. But dammit Zoro, snap out of Lucci bloodlust mode every once in a while.
-
I like Luffy and Law in the middle.
-
Well, that sure was unexpected. Hah. I do like that it's colorful though.
Hope Viz don't alter too much.
-
what I like: It´s completely unique
what I don´t like: color filters. The volume covers are the only way Oda has to confirm new characters´color schemes, because only 1 out of 20 or so colorspreads ever include any other character than the strawhats… I don´t care about kanjuro, but thanks to this we get him, but not his colors.
ODA I NEED A HUGE COLORSPREAD WITH ALL THE MINGOPIRATES ASAP OK
-
Better picture of the cover.
-
I love the cover's uniqueness.
-
thanks redon for pic
-
I really like this cover.
It took me a little while to notice Sabo's stretched face lol
-
Next cover, more than likely will have a cover featuring Corazon and a young Law/Doflamingo for sure. Or maybe we'll get a similar motif with the Doflamingo Family.
-
SWEET cover. I like the new idea of involving some colour in the layout. More or less portrays all the different events happening at the same time.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry at Rebecca though.

Not every single character has to be hero in some way.
-
I love this cover. The colour filtering is a unique change.
-
Hehehe…Who cares about the cover? All that matters is whose characters Oda will draw as children.

Becca was a mistake, we'll pretend it never happened.

Huuum..no.
All that matters is which penis' questions Oda will answer. -
Did he already confirm that Doula's penis can fire strings? I forgot.
-
Great cover, can't wait until the SBS releases!!
-
hoping for donquixote family as kids. specially pica, diamante, trebol and gladius
-
Oda hasn't done characters as children in a few volumes, so idk if he's going to do it again.
I like the cover. It looks psychedelic.
-
-
Quite a unique cover I'd say.
Thanks a bunch, redon! :D

Rainbows…
