Ah man this was some good stuff after the long wait.
Oda manages to keep Cavendish looking strong, flesh out his character, have Rebecca win without beating him or compromising her characters values and hype up her speed even more. Really solid stuff I'd say, and I'm saying this as one of Rebecca's detractors.
Doffy really is getting too confident in himself, so much for not underestimating the SH's.
Also concerning a little scrap I'd posted about before, namely where Cavendish's name comes from;
I'd posted before that the name of the street in "The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde" where Mr.Hyde commits murder is "Cavendish Place". I'd thought they might be related since Cavendish had the whole beautiful exterior/ugly personality thing going on.
Looks like this chapter has pretty much confirmed that theory, with the introduction of Hakuba. Cavendish's own personal Mr.Hyde.
