Wasn't contesting that, wouldn't make sense to bring back to plot at this point and in this role if his Haki wasn't strong.
I had a bad feeling when he put his hand on Rebecca told her he won't be too hard on her (or whatever the correct translation says).
As if it's going to bite him in the ass later.
Lol, same with me.
My guess is that Rebecca vs Sabo will be final contestants and sabo will accidentally screw up. I will love all the hate rebecca will get tho xD. Or He's so much of a gentleman that he'll meatshield her.

Shouldn't Law be sitting on the Heart seat?
Matter of fact if Blueno was in this tourney he would have an advantage because of this bullshit ring design. After the tourney is over an Burgess loses we can't say its because someone was stronger than him right?
Depends how he loses, doesn't it? If he loses at all. Which is why I say you're making excuses prematurely. You're blaming the ring for something that hasn't even happened yet.
I will say though, that the only advantage it gives Rebecca and Diamante is the fact that they're more likely to look for ringout opportunities because they're used to coliseum fighting. They still have the same chance of being knocked out of the ring themselves as everybody else and they still need to be quick/strong/skilful enough to take advantage of those opportunities against fighters of Sabo and Burgess's presumed calibre. If Sabo or Burgess allow themselves to be knocked out of the ring, that's still on them. They both know exactly what kind of match they're fighting in.
if he makes his return,it will probably be against kaido more than doflamingo.
but it's not impossible that he will show now..even though it would be ANOTHER character in a situation that it's already a mess.
He's got grudge against them both. so it's most likely for him to show up in this arc. OR he'll show up in Alliance vs Kaidou Arc. Where he will kamikaze kaidou.
Hakuba is going to scare the shit out of Sugar when she tries to convert Cavendish in toy XD

I swear I will forgive any pacing issues I might have if Oda gives Viola a fight. I don't know why but I really want to see her fight a strong opponent.

OH God, I just realized Sabo's fake scar to mimick Luf- I mean Lucy.
haha, oh yeah I noticed that too. I drew it on with permanent marker. lullllzzzzz
I don't get fujitora, he knows that that country's been turned into a vile one but his language says he won't do anything.
Lava > Fire
Ice > Snow
Ton > KiloAnd so on. We've been seeing alot of it recently
You forgot
Rubber>Spring
Fujitora's decision to tell Doflamingo that he planned to come after him was pretty reckless. It seems smarter to me to keep Doflamingo in the dark about something like that. If he truly was planning on coming after him, it would be a lot better to have surprise on your side especially against an opponent like Doflamingo, because now Doflamingo knows to watch his back from Fujitora, and personally, I don't think that Fujitora is so strong that he could afford to have Doflamingo knowing about a plan like that, because the two characters seem about evenly matched to me. So now Doflamingo KNOWS that he needs to be on his guard against the marines. Fujitora could've simply helped him and lured Doflamingo into a sense of confidence, and then attacked him when he didn't expect it.
Ah well, this makes a lot more sense now, because I can't see Luffy taking Doflamingo by himself any time soon.
but subdue to akainu's will certainly would
Taking advice from your most trusted men is not equal to submitting to them, nor is it embaressing.
Let's say that if Akainu suggests, based on his knowledge of the marines and their current abilities, that the warlords are no longer neccesary and do in fact, cost more than they are bringing to the table. He ask them to take it under advice, and if they then shot it down he'd suggest that he'd rather retire than make a flawed military decision, then, and this has been the crux of my entire argument, they'd have to weigh the value of Akainu, who is by and far their best man and their most valuable asset, against the unreliable warlords, who in this scenario have been proven to be obsolete.
It's not a black or white thing to ponder, there are many factors.
they didn't care about what sengoku opinion was regarding keeping secret the fact that tons of terrible criminals were now free and roaming the seas again,so yeah, mthey probably are fools, but the biggest fool is always the one who bites the hand that feeds him.
And by doing that they lost two of three of their top dogs, for two of which they had to save face by making them "stay" in the marines.
Which is the same kind of scenario they could be in now, except they have no way to restock, or to save face.
I mean i can't imagine that the elder stars are the kind of people who would rather take a phyrric victory over a gainful compromise.
garp never opposed directly the WG,he was just lacking discipline.we are tlking about directly opposing the WG here,it's not something light like go chasing roger even if ordered to stay at the HQ
Lacking discipline is putting it very midly. He was taking a piss on orders for years on end lol
Lol so ace was asked to be a schibukai and he didn't accept and the wg never even though of making harps grandson schibukai to replace moria…
the same guy who just declared war on them…hmmm I wonder why?
haha, oh yeah I noticed that too. I drew it on with permanent marker. lullllzzzzz
I don't get fujitora, he knows that that country's been turned into a vile one but his language says he won't do anything.
He thinks that as it stands, overthrowing Doffy would cause an unacceptable amount of casualties.
I actually thought the WG would disband the Schichibukai after the war. What with Teach, Moriah, Jinbei and Crocodile. The shichibukai thing always comes back to bite them in the ass.
Nolus, we need your marine knowledge. Who, in your opinion, is Bastille's (apparent) right hand man? Or, second highest ranked marine in there?
I think he's the guy who was with Momonga in Impel Down, but I can't say for sure. . .
I dug up some old chapters to find some panels with Momonga's "right-hand man" and made a picture comparing him with Bastille's one:
!
Result: they're not the same man (unless they changed during the timeskip, but that's highly unlikely, since Bastille himself hasn't changed much not counting him finally buttoning his suit).
I used different colors to indicate the differences such as headgear, suit, facial hair etc.
Their faces are quite different too, looking closely.
They do wear simiral caps though, and have glasses/shades.
He is sitting there, can't you see the legs?
Ah, I was reading on my phone's small screen so I couldn't see his super small form on the chair.
People on this forum need to realize that the WG cannot easily replace someone of admiral level power. Also, the Gorosei aren't going to discharge Akainu for anything less than him killing a celestial dragon, just my two cents.
now that we finally saw sabo's entire body..is he as tall as luffy?I don't remember how luffy ws compared to barto
Also a bold prediction: Vegapunk will design replacements for all of the Warlords, not just Kuma.
@Rotten:

Bear in mind they actually chose to get rid of Moria though, and Jinbei was put in an impossible position that had it been a different yonko, wouldn't have arisen.
2 guys betraying them seems pretty bad but considering we've now had 11 shichibukai in the series it's not really a bad statistic.
For only 18% of the notorious, barbaric pirates affiliated with the WG to have gone back on their word, it's not a bad figure.

Oh, I see. You're totaly right.
But, damn, he looks so familiar. . .
This chapter was pretty good. It's great seeing Fujitora revealing one of the reasons why he joined the marines. I'm liking the dude even more.
Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter. I hope we get to see Sabo in action!
Wasn't koala ordered to check out the situation underground or something?

Listen to this man, for he puts my thoughts into words way better then I'm capable off.
From my side of argument, there has been many succesful military rebelions against rightious goverments that have been fully supported by the citizens of said countries.
For example, The May Coup d'État in my wonderful homeland of poland. But that's beside the point.
The point is, from what we see, Fleet Admirals are given fair amount of power to decide things.
So what actually means "Marincolosseo"?

Hmm…
Crocodile, Law, Blackbeard, Moria was scheming, Jimbei was fighting against them, Doflamingo works for Yonkou, Boa does whatever she want's, so they have more like... three. Boa wouldn't have sided with WG if not for Luffy, let's remember.
... Damn, Buggy might be most reliable warlord yet.

I think he's taller.
I mean he's taller than rebecca.
i don't remember luffy/rebecca height difference tho D: i think they were almost the same. Luffy being a little taller than her.
I really hate that about luffy. i wanted him to be at least 180 CM D:

He doesn't work for Kaidou. He is the Underworld King and Kaidou is a business partner….

hm ? D: what does it say?

look closer, he IS, you can see his legs.
Why do people think that Fujitora suddenly knows everything about what Doffy is doing and has done in the past?
Ehh dude that's exactly my point. He doesn't know. But if he finds out this might be enough to get him to either attack Dofla outright or just withdraw which would still massively raise the Strawhats chances
Im calling it now, Lucy is Dadan!
Bear in mind they actually chose to get rid of Moria though, and Jinbei was put in an impossible position that had it been a different yonko, wouldn't have arisen.
I doubt the gorosei took the decision of getting rid of moriah, seeing how much worried they were about filling the three empty seats. I think it was a decision taken by the guy doflamingo was talking to in chapter 595 who must have his own agenda. He probably is the head of cp0.
Fujitora is quickly moving up my list of favs.
I personally dont believe that wg would get rid of shichibukai system… The marineford war for example could have had a very different conclusion if shichibukais wouldn't have been around. Also some of shichibukais are very important to them, for example could they afford to make Mihawk turning against them?
Still it's not like the marines like any of the warlords. We have been shown countless situations when marines have been with shichibukais (the first meeting where it was clearly shown that marines despise the seven, or when all the fodder marines were shown nervous and scared by their presence in war), but they have had the conclusion that there are more pros than cons keeping them under the world governments wing.
I see the Shichibukai getting disbanded in the future. The WG/marines will replace them by creating another group of powerhouses which will be lead by Kuma. The difference between this new group and Shichibukai will be, they are not pirates but people who will get drafted in just like Fujitora and green bull except this guys will vary in strength, they all might not be as powerful as Fuji and co.

You reckon that Mihawk, Doffy and Moriah dicking around there did that much to change the tide?
Jinbe, Hancock and Blackbeard were all working against them. And Kuma was, well not a person at that stage.
Also some of shichibukais are very important to them, for example could they afford to make Mihawk turning against them?
The only warlord that's genuinly valuable to them is Kuma.
And he's essentially their property nowadays.
Maybe They're planning to Replace them with Pacifistas? The Strong ones tho.
They might make 7 Pacifistas each made from seastone. or something like that?
Or each of them might have unique DF ability or smth idk
it's not clear if the shichibukai's end at the reverie has already been decided (in that case,,that would be an easy dream for fuji) ,or is just fujitora hoping for that.
or mybe he "read" some signals that lead to this decision.
i wonder if the reverie storyline is gonna mix with the "kaidou is gonna learn that shirahoshi is poseidon" one
do we know for sure if she's going to the reverie with her brothers?
This times 100. I do not think Oda could do a huge event like the reverie without involving the strawhats. Fishman Island did not fully complete it's story and I can see a rescue mission happening where it is a cross between Mariejois and FI. Vivi could return and just SOOOOOO much stuff can happen.
Franky for President
Why does no one grasp that the only reason the Elder Stars haven't completely axed the Warlord system is because they're trying desperately to keep the status quo the way it was before Marineford.
@Mr0:
Go Sabo go! Hopefully he won't fail at winning the tournament, I guess that the way the ring is set up now wil greatly benefit Diamante, but probably Rebecca also.
I could see Burgess losing against Rebecca by falling out of the ring, but I hope that won't happen. I don't want Burgess to win, but he shouldn't lose against Becca.
I don't know how Bartolomeo is gonna fit in to all of this, he will help Sabo but I don't know what he will do against Becca….
Anyway great chapter, hopefully Oda won't troll us by cutting to Sanji next chapter, instead of showing Sabo ij action!
Two options is that Rebecca will either win and half the forum will riot, or Sabo will KO her "gently" as he said as soon as the tournament starts. She's clearly out of depth compared to all of the other contestants.
Or when the WG disbands the Shichibukai then the revolutionary army would've been recognized as the new 3rd power that balances stuff.
@Cyan:

I always thought status quo will be in their interest until the moment they are ready to initiate conquest of the New World. Bringing down Whitebeard was the first step toward it.
In any case, for the Shichibukai to become unneccessary, emperors would have to lose (their influence) and NW should be a mess of pirate crews fighting eachother for territory. That way, when WG unleashes marine fleets, there will be no powerful and organized opposition.
Then there would be no need for Shichibukai discouraging or destroying wannabe NW pirates from blues.
Just the way I see it.
The Elder Stars, as far as we can tell, don't actually give a shit about the New World provided the powers that control it have their heads up each other's asses (as the situation was before Marineford.)
