Just wondering, did the pieces of vivrecard that Luffy gave to his allies start to burn when he was badly beaten by Katakuri? And if yes, are they gonna be burning like that everytime Luffy gets nearly defeated? Must be pretty distressing for his followers if every other week their "captain" seems to be on the brink of his death lol

Besides Masira and the other monkey guy the only Minks (Space ones) we saw way back in skypeia were space pirates. I think its safe to assume minks are a space race like skypeians.

Masira and shoujou weren't minks or monkeys, just very monkey-esque humans.

The situation looks really dire. However, Jinbe is suspiciously absent from panels, which might mean he's already preparing an attack. Something that can at least offset that wave. What use is a water manipulator on board if he can't do that much. Luffy and Zoro managed to put a hole inside a wave roughly the same size, pre time skip, and they sure as hell couldn't manipulate water.

In other words, I'm so hyped to see what Jinbe can really do when he tries. :happy:

He only needs to barely beat him, or break even in some way. He doesn't need an asspull powerup for that. All the groundwork for more refined abilities is there already.

I think that Luffy might be able to break even with Katakuri in a way which allows him to escape, to stretch himself through the mirror into sunny and break it behind him or something like that. He could also go all out and give katakuri somewhat decent challenge, but given the current setup I just can't see any way Luffy could defeat him. Imo Oda portraits Katakuri as a total monster, his strength feels way more absolute than with anyother enemy so far. Dunno, atleast I get that kind of feeling.

No way in hell Luffy is able to beat Katakuri this time around, unless oda gives him some kind of absolute asspull powerup. Katakuri deserves a long buildup and hype, it would totally ruin his character if he's going to cough blood in next chapter or so. Cracker was completely different situation, arrogant asshole who's only purpose was to exist as a showcase of Luffys strength.

Most likely luffy will get his ass kicked by katakuri. Then he manages to flee somehow, devastated by the fact that Katakuri is basically stronger version of him in every way. Later on Luffy will learn to awaken his fruit, and tides will turn; luffy rematches Katakuri and will again reign as "the strongest stretching pirate" until the end of series. Katakuri is great build-up-kind of obstacle for Luffy.

So she had ridiculously big bounties even back when she was young… I Wonder how much it actually is nowadays.

So Katakuri "shot" the man with jellybeans? Plain awesome. He is easily the coolest character in a long time.
