Also, Sai's comment about her coming from a life where the way she thinks is accepted, and not corrected, is referring to the Donquioxte family. It ties into what Lao G said at the end, that she's just "useful". The connotation behind that word isn't the same as English, it's more of a mix of useful and "convenient". It implies they see her as nothing but a tool, and that's why they allow her to be insane, and not try to actually "help" her.

Sai was, obviously, disgusted at this, and likely decided she should not be with them. Swell dude.

I know perfectly well that B5 needed that slap; she was about to kill herself just like that. And I know if it was a guy slapping a guy no one would bat an eye.

But you guys know this is a stingy issue as of late. I think the scene was ok, and Sai totally legit (his intentions are really pure hearted, to rid B5 of her "illness"), what I meant is how will others take it.

But I'm so sorry that your 'fav' is not in this chapter. But I rather watch 3 charachters with hype since Punk hazard telling me an entertaining story than Zoro cutting someone in half with a cliche quote.

Here I was, thinking Shitjao would be of some use at last…How naive of me. But no, he had to fight his grandson over some stupid petty argument that came out of nowhere. The guy remained an utter joke of a character through and through, Zorro did nothing (again), Sai's newly unlocked Supreme Asskick isn't even that impressive, and I couldn't care less about Baby 5. Seriously, the whole chapter was a waste of panels if there ever was one...

And to top it off this was probably the Christmas double issue, so no chapter next week I guess?

I think people have to always consider the context within which it is happening and not just blindly react to it. Like you said, Sai was doing it out of compassion than malice. That should definitely count for something.

Of course it was not bad but i feel that oda just wants to make this ark 100 chapter no matter what… He will probably do all the executives fights before going back to Dof and maybe he will even finish Sanji's fight before that

Hahaha, Lao G's lower back Pain technique has to be the greatest attack yet in these series. Sai is a damn boss no doubt. Question is if Pica or Gladius goes down first now. It seems like Dellinger's fight is next and he will most likely go down in 1 chapter like everyone else. Also kinda interested in who Elizabello will use his king punch against.

What a great chapter. Lao G is fucking hilarious, Baby 5 is tragically pitiful, and Sai is pretty damn badass. OP is at its best when it doesn't jump all over the place and gives a scene the proper screentime it needs.

Chinjao mentioned he wasn't yet recovered after his fight with Luffy. I'm sure he would have beaten Lao G if he was in top conditions.

I didn't give a fuck about Chinjao, Sai, Lao G, Baby 5, but the setup was all there. This is awesome, I loved this chapter. Also welcome back boxes with "lost"! This means we're going to see all the fights in the following weeks (also I wonder what is Pica's plan)

Most of the credit for those two things should go to Ishuhui (for the scans) and cnet (for the translations). we just fit the text into the bubbles =O

I feel that the next bunch of chapters aren't going to be well received, based on the fact the fights are going to be one chapter long.

I liked the chapter. I don't mind Don Chinjao being taken out, as it works well with the whole new generation taking over. I felt bad for Baby 5, and I'm glad she will be one of the redeemed ones, mainly because I've liked her character overall. The tone can look sexist, but if you disregard her gender, Baby 5 was just being used because she wanted a place to belong, and the family used her to that end.

Liked the chapter, and the more focus really made it better than last. Also liked the comedy of Lao G.

Damn, that was great. If this is how Oda plans to take out the minor executives than bravo to him. I simply can't wait for the end of Dellinger, Senor Pink, and Gladius. They may only get one chapter, but thank goodness Oda knows ehat he's doing with them.

Fantastic chapter. Sai is great, and Baby 5's long been my favorite member of the family. Her past is so freaking tragic, no wonder a child like her ended up with Doffy, and Sai's right, it's sickening how the family has essentially been using her. Guess that maid outfit wasn't just for show.

And that's two chapters in a row with concluding fights and 2 (technically) went down this chapter. Looks like we are actually going to knock them all out before going back to the final showdown.

Also, bets on what the ~~Chekhov's~~ King Punch will be used on?

Don't expect to see every detail of every fight, but it's gonna suck if each of less relevant fights is resolved like this. If only I knew anime team could make satisfying filler fighting, I wouldn't complain much. :happy:

Quick notes:

Zoro seems to be having some difficulties. Good.
King Punch aknowledged. Good.
I just love how Sai kicks ever since he started kicking people around during Block C. He is super acrobatic, and I like he seems to use his weapon more as a support so he can do more outrageous kicks.
Him further awakening the land splitting effect and the torch being passed on is icing on the kicking cake.
Baby 5's backstory was surprisingly dark, and the fact that the Doffy family took advantage of her trauma induced obsession during all these years just steps up their villainy one step further. Kinda weird though how a running gag suddenly took such a DARK turn, but I'm ok with it.
Lao G's went out just like that, but at least he was more of a Zeo than a Daruma; that is, if you have to go out, go out being fucking hilarious. And that he did. The moment he died and went back cause he couldn't properly hear what they were telling him was too hilarious. And saving your pain one bit at a time from young age? Insurance Plan transformation is the best power up ever.
Chinjao was a bit obnoxious, but all's well if it ends well, right?

Overall, pretty great chapter.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that coverspread is adorable. Though I have to wonder why Nami, Zoro, Sanji, and Chopper where the selected Strawhats. And it was kind of weird to see Boa there. But all in all I really loved it.

Fighting fishes are pretty big, I mean, there should be a reason of why Doffy had him since a baby but never give Bellamy a chance of joining for being a weakling, was toddler Dellinger already stronger than Bellamy?? We'll find out next chap

What a fantastic chapter, but pity about the translation. All four of the fighters were hilarious and Sai just raised the bar big time for Sanji.

I was a bit annoyed at the prospect of another flashback, but that was pretty gracefully done. I would have enjoyed maybe a little more commentary from Sai on Baby 5's psychology, maybe with a "She needs me!" big kick in there somewhere. Would've appreciated a bigger "Call me the Don" panel too.
