@Zp1:
Speculating that Sanji is going to lose a leg should almost be a bannable offense at this point. A main character losing his primary means of fighting would never, ever happen in manga like.this.
Law or Chopper could simply put it back up.

The drawing itself seems to imply that she's possessing a bird rather than randomly projecting her eyes into the air. the name might be a metaphor as much as a pun
@Toraish:
… that just makes it worse. Oda's now officially sacrificing logic and the believability of his series for a few puns. WSJ save us all.
Oh quit your whining, One Piece always has broken the rules of logic and believability for the sake of jokes and cool moments. The ability is fine as it is.
You're putting words on other people's mouths.
Sanji is not close to Doflamingo's level, but he's not that far either.
Yes, from what we have seen Sanji is really, really far behind DD.
The circumstances are way different, though.
Fujitora isn't helping Doflamingo now, and Law was just running away all the time.
And even then, Law still managed to hold Doflamingo busy for at least 15 minutes.
What do you mean Fujitora isn't helping Doflamingo… Is there any reason to think that he have retreated?

The drawing itself seems to imply that she's possessing a bird rather than randomly projecting her eyes into the air.
Her sight is taking the form of a bird.
Same logic with the whale tears.
…and then Sanji gets his ass kicked.
Well, he hasn't looked as cool as in this chapter in ages, so there's that at least. Doflamingo is becoming more and more fascinating, just what is the real deal with him? I'm also glad he's not underestimating the Strawhats, such a common and obnoxious mistake villains in shonen do in general.
Doubt Sanji is gonna lose a leg, get his ass kicked maybe, but Oda isn't that cruel to cut the leg after he just fractured it.
I'm reminded of a QI episode where Stephen Fry quoted Charles Babbage responding to a poem reading every moment dies a man and every moment one is born
He responded something along the lines that if that were true the population of the world would be at a standstill, i suggest that in the revised poem you say every moment one dies and 1,6 is born. This figure is of course not entirely accurate but should be good enough for poetry
Lawl you're being a bit of a Drama Queen and you're blowing this out of proportion. Lets get back to talking about the chapter please.
I think everyone has there point where suspension of disbelief just isn't enough. For some its not breaking down doors, for others its some character trait or another, you get my point. Plus you can at least get where he's coming from unlike some other complaints.
At least we haven't reached the point of arguing about how Sanji is going to be defeated because DD blocked his attack with his knee or something.
So… Any speculation where Fujitora will be heading? To the bridge? Colosseum? Have a nap?
What's positive about the ability discussion is that it's distracting people from the next nakama bullcrap that was bound to happen (coincidentally involving the very same person we're talking about right now).
Well this was quite a lovely chapter. Violet having another ability was a small surprise and it is a really useful ability. Even now and before, I can see why Doflamingo keeps such a useful woman around.
It's so sad. Doflamingo wanted to kick back and chat it up with his little buddy Law, but he had to betray him. And as I thought, Sanji's kick was in a blaze and blocked. Gladius sure does have some nice hair. Hopefully all that talk about him being Sabo will die. Anger issues… Rage unlocks a saiyans power. Super Saiyan, anyone?
Jora is pretty tough being able to still stand after the attacks that she took, as expected from one of Doflamingo's henchmen. Judging from her overpowered ability and her tough body, I'd say she would be capable of easily having a bounty of 100Mil or more.
I love Bartolomeo. The guy is just as I have always thought he would turn out to be, but it also seems that Zoro's disguise is not working out so well for him. Hopefully he thinks that Chopper is cute and unique.
As I thought, the heart that Doflamingo had wasn't legit. Too bad, Doffy.
If Doflamingo thinks that a bad ass henchmen such as Sanji is strong wait until he feels the power of the captain who's strength is on an entirely different level. Not to mention Sanji isn't even the 2nd strongest of the crew. Never thought that one of the SH's would have to face the boss. If Doflamingo hurts any of them... He'll have ran out of luck. It also seems that Oda is stalling to give the tournament more time to finish or go to whatever is the most interesting plot.

Thats innacurate and plan false claims. one person is born every second, and one person dies somewhere between every 30 seconds and one minute (its not as linear as birth)
He didn't just realize it, he hasn't been underestimating them from the beginning.
pretty much sure he did.
!
pretty much sure he did.
He's telling Smoker (The Marine) that unlike Law (The Shichibukai) the Strawhat are "Pirates" –>> So he shouldn't have let them leave.
He's not underestimating them.
Great chapter!!
So excited for the Black Leg vs. the Heavenly Demon though I'd find it hard to stomach anything but Doflamingo defeating Sanji brutally, though Sanji should put up a fight for a moment or two.
As for Gladius…not in love with his Super Saiyan hair. Should've stuck with the top hat. Looking forward to what he can do though!

People who like chapters simply because the strawhats are doing well never cease to amaze me,
DD has said the Strawhats are not to be underestimated several times. he knows how strong luffy is.
the line about sanji being strong was his usual mocking sarcastic jargong that he always puts up when someone opposes him. The kick did not seem to have any impact on him at all.
@Zp1:

Shanks favoured his left arm before he lost it and Owner Zeff lost his leg. There isn't a general rule in One Piece that main characters can't lose their limbs because it's their primary means of fighting.
Law or Chopper could simply put it back up.
Pretty much.
All this time people were saying tha doffy will not go down in this arc.after this chapter its confirmed for me that luffy will beat dofla in dressrosa
If Doflamingo cuts off one of Sanji's legs, it'll go to show how terrifying the New World actually is. Everything will change about how the fans think of future enemies in the story and how the characters have a lot to lose when facing those enemies. I feel One Piece needs more of that kind of suspense.
Oda knows how to inject traumatic moments into his story and cutting off Sanji's leg (which is the guy's fighting tool) is not one of them. It would be the equivalent of Zoro losing his swords.
Not to mention One Piece would lose a good chunk of its light-heartedness if that happens to one of its protagonists.
Thats innacurate and plan false claims. one person is born every second, and one person dies somewhere between every 30 seconds and one minute (its not as linear as birth)
He's not stating a fact… it's poetry.
to you guys arguing about the range thing?
1: it's not a simultaneous range. if it were she would know the source of the lightning that hit the sunny… also it's very likely that using the full range of something like that would screw with her life, accuracy, etc.
2: its not all that convenient, sanji Got a reward for being awesome, or did you forget what he had to go through for this help?
3: Her power isnt badly designed, did you forget that just 2 years ago a man existed who could literally shake & break the planet if he tried hard enough?... 4000 km is a bit much (and likely an error that will be fixed in the volume release) but if she doesnt have the full rangeat all times it's not unbelievable.
4: like all fruits that have been considered "too OP" her's likely has an interesting weakness. Eneru was an invincible lightning GOD till he fought luffy, croc was made of sand, only haki ad sea water can beat Smoker, and Law has power but isnt the best physical combatant. there is always a means to balance a power out... so just wait till we see more of her powers.
now then, what if violet's confidence of not being caught is foreshadowing to something.... brutal happening to her for betrayal.
pretty much sure he did.
Read the chapter where he speaks with vergo on the mushi and tells him to kill law but avoid the strawhat because he is not to be understimated.
well there's chopper brook and nami, so unless they drive the ship to safety, it's 4 vs 1 and i think they can at least stall Doflamingo for a while. Though for sure we will see someone get controlled by Dofla (Sanji most likely vs other 3).
Her sight is taking the form of a bird.
Same logic with the whale tears.
thank you for explaining this to them, i dont know why ppl arguing by this after seeing someone like WB can destroy the whole world and they say violet DF is too hax come on srsly its OP some DF suppose to be haxed
I hope we finally get to see Sanji using Haki. Although I wonder if it's going to come to a fight at all . Law's DF is one of the few abilities that would allow someone to escape Dofla's puppet ability but Sanji has no way to protect himself against this. I wouldn't be surprised if Dofla uses Sanji as a weapon against Law and the Strawhats
Caribou seems full. Maybe there's a limit to what he fan swallow in a short period of time, after all. I wonder if he also ate Scotch.
So Sanji decided to go at the Sunny. I would have prefer if he stick to the tournment. Now I wonder how is Zoro getting in.
That Bartolomeo comment directly made me thought on how crazy the fandom was gonna be over the crewmate debate. His fangirl face is still priceless for now. But how does he know of what happened on whiskey peak? Maybe he got an ex-memher of BW in his crew or met one on his journey.
I'm really wondering what is Doflamingo past and I love how he's talking to Law like they are still buddies. And he makes a good point about underestimating Luffy. Too bad Violet messed up his plan. Sanji mange to ruin Dofla's without without even realizing.
Steampunk have funny hair. Remind me of Yuuki in code breaker.
Law escape was baddass I think. And I love how Dofla and Fuji just seems to see him as a annoying kid being uselessly noisy. But the gravity fruit is finally confirmed.
Too bad the sunny team was making too much noise. But thank god, Sanji make it on time. But seeing how Dofla block that kick easily and stating not too long he won't underestimate the crew things sure aren't looking bright for Sanji.
I suppose Law will send Ceasar anyway and tell Sanji to bring Dofla on the coast so they can figth him together. Or he figths alone and tell Sanji to hurry on destroying that goddanm factory.
I wonder how long it will take Fujitora to get there.
4000km sight range is nothing compared to Usopp surviving a 4-ton bat to the face.
He's not stating a fact… it's poetry.
Excuse me sir i'd like to return this poem, it's got the math all wrong
I'd prefer a work of art that's been reviewed by atleast an associate professor in mathematics
Althought i assume that dollar was in fact just playing along with the joke
Does anybody else find it weird that Baby 5 is having a friendly tea time with the man who shot her in the face just a day ago?

Equally traumatic moments as this scenario have happened before in One Piece and it hasn't completely turned into a bleak manga. It still retains its cheerfulness. And Sanji losing his leg doesn't necessarily mean it has to be permanent, like someone has suggested it could be fixed by Law or Chopper.
13 pages in without people being casually dismissed and insulted. Enjoy it while it lasts guys, I know I am.

You don't expect me to take these words as facts, do you? I see it as just another of the hundreds of opinions

I agree with you, we even have a stitching devil fruit user around but what he's saying is that when it happened to those other guys, they were not the primary protagonists of the story and suddenly having one of them crippled is something that would change the tone of the story completely.
No, In a real fight DD would cut of his leg instantly and then slowly kill him in a painfull way while mocking him for being weak. Thats what he usually does (law, bellay etc)
he isnt the kind of guy who enjoys fast fogjts, its the humiliation, torture and mocking that turns him on in fights.
Still doesnt change the fact that luffy lost like 3 times to CC before defeating him, and now sanji, number 3 in the SH power ranking, is gonna be able to hold his own against this arcs main villain.
it sort of spoils the tension and suspense. if sanji vs DD is a fair fight, DD should be fodder for luffy..
We just saw DD in a fight that was tipped IN HIS FAVOR, so it wasn't even a fair fight, and he didn't do that to law. You are underestimating the strength of sanji and law I think. Sanji and zoro are not that far below luffy as you think.
The best example I can give is that lucci was nearly twice as strong as kaku and jayabura and yes luffy beat him but afterwards he couldn't move. Meanwhile sanji beat jayabura and kept fighting the remainder of the arc. To me that says that sanji has strength near luffy and lucci level at that time, and that if he had a speed boost the way luffy did with gear 2 that he could have conceivably have taken down the arc boss but then been exhausted afterward just like luffy.
Anyway ur a fool if you think sanji and zoro are not in tr same league as DD. They may not be AS strong but they are definitely in the same league enough to be a challenge to him. Not get swatted away like buggy or someone.

Since i ate the same DF as Violet, except it works on the internet instead of in real life, i can tell you that Monkey King is on his way. So indeed, enjoy it while it lasts.

Zoro lost one his eyes yet One Piece is as joyful as ever :D I think Oda is capable of pulling it off without making the manga completely morbid and keep it the way it has always been but with the added suspense of something like Sanji losing one of his legs.
@wolfwoof:

Hahahahahaha.
By the way, did we get any hint about where the toy house is at?
It would be such insanity if the final fights of the arc were a Doflamingo/Sanji rematch, Zoro vs Fujitora, and Luffy vs Kaidou.
YES I KNOW IT WONT HAPPEN, SHADDAP
I think people should think about it this way, in this world today a person with the right tools can spy and listen in on anyone in the world as long as they have a means to track them. How hard is it believe then that in the OP world, a person with a magical fruit can track someone (limited to sight) within 4000km (roughly NYC to LA)?
Moreover, it seems clear that Violet doesn't just see things, she has to find them first. She had prior knowledge of Sanji, Sunny, Law and Doflamingo's general locations so it's relatively easy for her to keep track of them, but you can't just assume she can she anything at any given moment.

No, they arent. He is the main villain of Dressrosa wich means that Luffy will defeat him. Sanji/Zoro has never been in the same league as a powerful main arc villain. we have seen them try and get stomped a few times.
Zoro lost one his eyes yet One Piece is as joyful as ever :D I think Oda is capable of pulling it off without making the manga completely morbid and keep it the way it has always been but with the added suspense of something like Sanji losing one of his legs.
Zoro's eye is more of cool scar, that argument would have worked if he came back without one of his arms. Eh let's just wait and see and hope that none of us is disappointed with the outcome.
@Toraish:
That's still ridiculous beyond reason. A 4000km radius? Do you have any idea how high up you would have to be to see that big of an area? Or how ludicrously big a zoom you would have to possess to be able to see anything accurately from a height like that? I call serious BS on this one. 400km would have been somewhat believable, although even that much is a stretch, but four thousand? Irredeemable.
Oda got Kishi and Kubo's bug(600 billion exploding tags,10 trillion souls)…4000km. radius of visual field..Raftel should come under her view..:ninja:
Sanji losing an arm instead of his trademark leg would actually be pretty cool. it would affect his character in general with the exception of battles.
This is the New World. You should not expect people to go through it without getting a few scars, or losing a limb or two. wooden legs and such is classic pirate stuff.
Doflamingo is going to pupper master Sanji into crossdressing.
No, they arent. He is the main villain of Dressrosa wich means that Luffy will defeat him. Sanji/Zoro has never been in the same league as a powerful main arc villain. we have seen them try and get stomped a few times.
Zoro was always handicapped and it's not that other SHs were so as well
And some posters say all Shichibukai are close to each other and seeing FI with Jinbe/Sanji… Sanji should be as well... But oh wait he is no SuperNova either so no way and a big bad guy can't fought by someone below that... Hell some even say there is no monster trio blurb blurb even if the current chapter shows very much how the others piss themselves being happy Sanji appeared.
PS
DoFla will win after all... I rank him higher than most of the other Shichibukai bar Mihawk
