The Defense Force assumes that it happened, but I'm half-expecting the reason to be something between Kafka and himself, in the lines of "after battling daddy last time I am subconsciously afraid to lose control and wound my teammates". Cue prolonged block until someone in the team (likely Kikoru) is on the verge of dying and the Power of Friendship removes his limiter.

Three problems i have with the chapter. First reason, the reveal of the reason Oden acted the way he acted felt very manipulative and even condescending. The last line doesnt sit well with me at all. My second problem is that the reveal was came oo early imo. The placement made sense considering how it was set up but i feel like it goes against Oden's character. Oden is a man of action who doesnt explain the reason he does things. He doesnt need to be hyped up, especially from Shinobu who hasnt really had a bond with him. I personally wanted the reveal to come after his death. Third problem is that Oden's fall doesnt feel like much of a fall. Ok he danced like an idiot in front of people, big deal. Yeah he's the heir of the shogun and needs to honorable but its not like he wasnt looked down on before he returned. You would assume a cunning bastard like Orochi would take the most out of Oden's self sacrifice and completely destroy him, physically and psychologically

Oden saved her life (previous chapter) so her becoming emotional is okay for me.

Haven't finished the manga yet but I'm enjoying it so far (think 60+ chapters so far). How's the anime?

Guys, Kinemon doesn't even understand the source of his own powers and thinks Nami is a Ninja. This isn't time-travelling, the Samurai group just went into some sort of stasis for 20 years. Probably the work of the DF power from Oden's wife, so they aren't burnt alive.

Oda does to us what Law was doing to Luffy - setting up ridiculous expectations.

Though it is also possible that it is because of Wano's closed borders.

Imagine the drama at the end once their mission's done (if they're all dead), and Kinemon, Momo, etc will fade into nothingness while smiling but with tears.

Great chapter! We forget that most of the crew are still kids/young and any "death" of a friend will affect them that much. This chapter reminds me of that. Good one!

Well like I said, I think it would take either him getting bribed heavily by the Big Mom Pirates, or the threat of CP0 to silence him. Even if the Tottoland stuff doesn't get released to the world, it would give Morgans the incentive to closely follow their adventures knowing that they would create even bigger stories for him.

Then Oda shouldn't have introduced Morgan at all. What would be his purpose? Saying BIG NEWS everytime but will cover it up afterwards? Nope. That would be non sense.
