I believe Oda receives those kind of questions all the time, but doesn't want to answer them for story-telling reasons, so he has to dodge them with dick jokes.

If they're characters we've never seen before (aka not Hina or Coby), then it seems safe to assume that he'll continue the old movie actor pattern, but I'm not nearly knowledgeable about that generation of Japanese actors to pick out any sort of pattern. Even the one connection that Alina thought she found turned out to be a red herring.

We really should not expect SBS to have exceptional questions and answers, for me this just a fine edition especially we have now the kids' version of the Impel Down staff.
I found the part where Oda tells what character takes the longest to draw, to be really cool info. So that means, Hancock took a while for him to draw her. I already figured the Shogun Franky would take awhile. This SBS was pretty small, but I still enjoyed it like always. Impel Down kids were cool, my favorite Impel Down character is Domino, and she's playing football (soccer), very cute. =D Thanks for the quick translations CCC!!! And thanks for the RAW redon!!!!!!!

The heights (if they changed) and measurements could be interesting to some. Same with Oda having trouble with drawing people with black hair, Kinemon's inspiration, the Daba Daba dash is a nice little SBS detail.
But yeah, Magellan hands down was the most interesting piece of info. And apparently Saledeath's "horns" are just part of the hat. Huh.
Oh, I always love the dick jokes. I probably wouldn't like SBS if it hadn't all those silly jokes. But even I want at least 1 or 2 relevant question in each volume.

The three 'original' Admirals weren't really connected with the actors Oda have chosen to base them on, there wasn't any logical explanation with their powers or animal themes or whatnot. They weren't a 'trio' either, Yusaku Matsuda was 10 years younger than the other two and worked in an entirely diffirent movie field from Sugawara and Tanaka.
So, from what I know about the subject, it's really impossible to predict who is new Admiral going to be based on (that is if it's a new character, which is hopefully) apart from blunt guessing.
I'm on the case now, even though it's probably useless as you say…
If anything, it's a fun way to research movies and actors.
I just hope that Oda keeps following the trend, or else I'm really dumb.

I totally want to know the answer to your first two questions. I think the answer is 'no' about Rokushiki, 'cause the shigan is less effective against Luffy (it works like a bullet for everyone else) and 'cause the Tekkai doesn't make the attack "bounce" like we saw with CoA. I guess Oda may pull off something like "unmastered haki doesn't let you fight DF users' real body", though.
About the third I don't know about side effects, but the naming scheme mimics guns (red hawk, grizzly magnum, elephant gun)
For the new admiral design i hope Oda uses either Takashi Shimura or maybe Toshiro Mifune. Second admiral position should stille be Onigumo in my book, even when it doesn`t fit the colour-animal pattern.

personally hoping for Tatsuya Nakadai and Toshiro Mifune… those two along with Kizaru's inspiration were often together in old black and white jidaigeki (samurai) films

i'm of the opinion oda screwed up and forgot about robin and chopper's number chapters.or he probably doesn't think it as a big deal.i mean,i find it hard to believe robin can get a number chapter now,after he have had an entire arc about her being a crew member.for chopper,it's possible,but i don't know.there could have been a number chapter for him in davy-back fight,but i suppose that would go against the light hearted tone of that arc.
i don't think that's right. I thought robin had hers though. But i imagine they'll come up later.

This would believable if Oda didnt have Usopps number chapter title at the end of Enies Lobby when he returned to the crew, almost like, what, 400 chapter after his first appearance? ITs highly unlikely that Oda remembered to put his number chapter so late, at such a pivotal moment for his characters growth and his role in the crew (and remember, the last number chapter before that was Namis in Arlong Park, so everybody thought he had forgotten about those) but will now just forget and don`t care to give Chopper and Robin their number chapters.
