The funniest scene in Hueco Mundo: Pesche's wang sword. Szayel's expression was priceless. To actually be able to creep out a guy like him is pretty impressive. He has a sword named fornicaras, looks like he's wearing some kind of outlandish wedding dress when he transforms, and takes orgasmic pleasure in playing with dolls that can destroy organs (but deep down I think I too was amused at seeing Ishida get his stomach crushed). And is it weird that the Shinigami Golden/Arrancar Encyclopedia is usually funnier than the actual series?

@Kareem:
Fake Karakura Town was hardly any better. And I wasn't upset, I don't even care about Bleach anyway, although I guess I should at least be defensive about the things that I actually do like since they're so few and far between. Zaraki is one of the only things in Bleach that isn't overhyped so I will defend him if nothing else.
Fake Karakura Town had humor?! Wait. Don…what's-his-face. Yeah, that doesn't count.
Oh, no. I didn't see you as defensive. I was just expressing my peace...pointlessly. ANYWAY. I agree with the Zaraki thing. That character needs his own series. Where he just goes around and rips people in half.
I don't know, I kind of liked Baby Nel, Pesshe and Dondochakka as comic relief.
I liked Baby Nel. Her two buddies and pet were so-so.

Maybe Charlotte, the Arrancar equivalent to Yumichika… ah who am I kidding. Sorry I don't know what came over me. It's just the Bleach fans liked Charlotte Cuulhorne (god Kubo, you make the stupidest names). Wait I'm giving a crap about what Bleach fans think? Suddenly I fear for me mental health. -

Hey now. Yumichika wasn't that bad. I kind of liked him. On the other hand, if Charlotte is who I think he is, then I can safely say he was one helluva disturbing weirdo. And don't even get me started on that black dude who looks like a pumpkin.

Lol, I can't believe it either. Charlotte just creeped the hell out of me. His released form was the icing on the trauma cake.

I don't remember who this is, but–CHARLOTTE is a GUY'S name!?!Charlotte was the fraccion (of Barragan) that fought Yumichika. Like Yumichika, he was obsessed with his "beauty" and gloated about his looks, annoying his opponent. The problem was…...I dunno, Charlotte was anything but beautiful. I say this in both a male and female perspective.
-
I always wondered why Zommari said he was the fastest Espada, yet turned into something that couldn't move.

One of the major differences between him and Yumichika. It's that Yumichika doesn't look creepy, despite having that weird feathery thing on his face (srsly wtf is that); I didn't become traumatized on sight. Good thing I've erased Charlotte from my mind just like a lot of others from the earliest parts of the hueco mundo arc.

Charlotte Cuulhorne. His ability was to wrap the opponent in darkness so that nobody else could see them die or something stupid like that. Talk about a low versatility power.

… Wow, I didn't realize it was something that stupid. And it's also lame how that's kinda similar to Tousen's ability.
-
That whole series of fights was just stupid in general, and almost followed the exact same formula each time.

What the hell? The power itself totally slipped my mind. You'd think his ability would be to release, than his opponent forfeits when their eyeballs start to bleed.

A lot of the Arrancar had stupid powers. Or ones that they failed at using.
Aaroniero had something like 30,000 powers, and neglected to use any besides turning into ProtoIchigo and releasing to gain cthulu lower body, yet kept ProtoIchigo transformation up. Never saw any of the 29,998 other abilities.
Zommari had the often mentioned stupidity of being the fastest Espada yet releasing into a stationary pumpkin form.
Grimmjow iirc basically functioned similar to Ichigo. His release made him faster and able to spam multiple energy blasts from his claws or something.
Nnoitra gained more arms, yet his 6 arms failed to Kenpachi's two. To be fair it was Kenpachi, but as I read that I kept thinking Kenpachi was going to be screwed by 6 hands and the fight would drag on further.
Ulqiorra released into a Devilman ripoff with more powerful generic energy blasts, whoopee! At least making them take the form of a lance was somewhat unique…
Harribel had promise with the water vs ice fight going on, until Aizen killed her for a mindbogglingly retarded reason. Her ability itself still passes, but it needed a reiteration for the stupidity of Aizen killing her off.
Barragan had a cool ability, but he failed in that he wasn't immune to the aging gas but somehow exhaled it...
Starrk's release looked cool as shit, finally a gunman! And he shoots wolves! But he was dispatched easily by a freaking shikai and the wolves felt incredibly weak despite his claims because they were owned pretty easily too iirc. Sigh... I guess swords > guns in Felch.
Hell, the Privaron Espada had better powers that they used better than half the Espada.
Then we had the pointless Fraccion... A whale release? Really? I don't think I need to say how retarded it seems to become a huge, slow target when there are captains around. But conveniently none of them did anything until Ikkaku failed. Cuulhorne was just terrible. A bird release, but apparently you can fly by default in the afterlife in Felch, so what was the point? Harribel's fail fraccion who had to cut off their arms to make a not-so-uber beast that Yamamoto easily blasted a hole through. And then there's Wonderwiess with his incredibly specific plot-device power. -
Barragan was defeated by a freaking Benny Hill plot.
-
I remember in the Barragan vs Hachi fight I thought it might be a good idea to make Hachi use his time reversal powers which were mentioned ages ago to nullify the aging power. BUt of course, that would require Kubo to be intelligent and remember old plot points, and so we got random plot kido instead

I still can't figure out how dead spirit people were subject to aging when several hints have been made that people like Hitsugaya and Rukia are waaaaaaaayyyy older than they look. But the power was cool until Kubo backed himself into a corner with it.

"Hey I got the only decent person among the villains/heroes HOW DO I USE HIM????"
And then there's Wonderwiess with his incredibly specific plot-device power.
Which apparently wasn't specific enough, as he still fucking lost.
-
Heh, maybe Kubo actually made the Privion abilities and function work because he wasn't half-assing it by that point in the arc…compared to when it just started to fall in on itself...which was probably about the point of Szayel pt. 1...or was it the Grimmjow fight?
-
It was Nnoitra. It was Nnoitra.

It's not hilariously bad.

It's not as terribly paced as the rest of the series. So even though it still boils down to "lol Aizen", it went somewhere and had a plot, which is more than can be said for the rest of the vapid and horridly paced series.
And it had Urahara, who's moderately interesting, and Mayuri, who's second only to Kenpachi in this manga. And at the time the Vizard were being built up to be… well... more than the pathetic idiots they turned out to be. I'd never compare Felch's "characters" to those of any other series because even Kenpachi isn't that great, but compared to the steaming turds or empty voids most characters are, the ones involved in "Turn Back the Pendulum" were more interesting. -
@No:
Wait what ?
Explanation. Please.
It was towards the end of the series. Yoh and co. fought someone who looked like an alien, but then it turned out it was just their oversoul. But then it turned out that aliens really did exist and that they came to Earth a long time ago to share their knowledge or some chickenshit, I don't even remember. It was completely pointless.
Sorry for the late reply.

Newest Opening. The best I can figure is that a bunch of people or hollows using the Gigai of Captains and Vice Captains invade Soul Society. No clue, but seeing Kenpachi fight like 50 guys at once is always cool.
-
Okay, I may start watching these fillers because:
1: It looks like Chad will in fact do something
2: Yamamoto will do something, so count me in for that.Ps: anyone notice if he has both arms in the opening ?
-
Well the latest Jump cover should be a sign of Bleach's current status in Japan: Toriko has replaced Ichigo in the "big three" position. Sure Bleach will always have supporters but I think this could be a good thing…then again things are always subject to change without reason. (Sena actually made it a "big four" for a while)
-

Toriko doesn't really replace Bleach as the third most popular manga in Jump.
Third place usually rotates around Bleach, Toriko, Beelzebub, Bakuman or Gintama. If I'm not wrong, Reborn, Sket Dance, Kuroko and others have also achieved third place before, so it's less of a Big 3, but Big 2 instead. -
I like to colour manga. I don't like to colour bleach. But when the contest-page is this one. I can't hardly refuse, can I?
My idea for MangaStreams colouring contest.
!
-
Technically the "Big Three" is One Piece, Hunter X Hunter, and Naruto. But due to Hunter's constant absence the rank was given to Bleach.
These days due to Bleach's major decline, I can see Toriko as the newest member of the Big Three.
Bleach may retain it when Naruto ends (it looks like it's going to end going by the war). -
So what role do you think Ms. Stupidname Shopkeeper is gonna play ? Is she gonna be a hostage, or completely forgotten by now ?
-
Whatever happens to her I guess depends on whatever role that kid is going to play, no matter how minor it may be. For all I know it'll turn out that the kid's absent father was the Shinigami that Tsukishima killed.
-
I doubt Kubo could be that clever, consistent or…...capable of basic autonomic functions.
Hey what about those kids in Urahara's shop ? We made a point out of how the guy is slowly growing up into a punk version of Hitsugaya.
-
This post is deleted!
-

That's too coherent and not trollish enough for Kubo. Tsukishima is more likely the kid's father… No wait... the kid IS Tsukishima and evil Tsukishima is from the future! That's outrageous enough to be Kubo, methinks.
-
Ya know, it would be prety funny if Ginjou was the father, and was just hiding in plain sight all this time, because he didn't want to leave his cool danceroom place.
-
And then there's Wonderwiess with his incredibly specific plot-device power.
That one was specifically designed by Aizen to be like this since Yamamoto was too overpowered for Aizen at that point, so it shouldn't really count in my opinion.
That gigantic hollow thing that got forshadowed at the end of the SS arc and then got defeated within like 1-2 chapters without doing anything useful (Wonderweiss can absorb the fire of Yamamoto's weapon, so he easily could have taken out the flames instead) was WAY worse.
By the way, how did the anime handle the Kensei vs Wonderweiss fight? Did they make a filler or something or also dropped it randomly without any further explanations?
-
Wonderweiss's power, while engineered to be that way, was still lame. And he was shoved in our faces for a while whenever any of the 3 traitor captains were on-panel. So I expected more. And somehow he inexplicably beat Kensei while being designed as a counter for Yamamoto's FIRE powers. Kensei had a WIND based power from what little we saw.
And yes, Superchunky was terrible too, I just didn't remember if it even had an official name and didn't think of using the unofficial name.
And I wouldn't know about the anime. Dropped it after Muramasa filler. Might pick it up for decent filler arcs, but I'm not sitting through the torture of canon Felch a second time.
