Even more lol at the people who knew, K N E W, that Perona would remain on Mihawk's island forever ruling over a bunch of monkeys (BECAUSE IT WAS OBVIOUS. Right, brennen? lol ).
Moria being alive certainly gives Perona other alternative future plans, so I'm not saying she'll stay on the island, but I doubt she'll be gone come the end of the timeskip.

Well Oda needed to explain how Zoro got to SA, he could not take himself and it is not in Mihawk's character to take Zoro. Even if it was, wouldn't it have looks suspicious if two schichibukais were at SA at the same time as the Strawhats reunion when the Marines could not find any of the SH crew for two years?

Eh, I wish I could vote in polls, I've been a member for nearly a month now. Perona's keeps somehow increasing even though this chapter made it look pretty obvious that she was out… not that she was in to begin with, Luffy IS the captain after all and did not even know who she was.

they get a blacksmith on the crew. would that be too similar to franky? maybe. what if he had like a metal devil fruit? it could work like Mr. 3's wax, him spouting out molten bronze, or maybe like Joz' diamond fruit, only not as good.
I don't think this is very likely, but so far everything luffy's wanted, he's gotten. a musician, a cook, a navigator, a shipwright, a doctor, etc.

Heh, sometimes I think people forget that luffy is the one who decides who or what joins the crew, now if perona had an extra pair of arms or lasers, He might be interested, I do not even think Luffy has had more than a few lines of dialogue with Perona… ever!
And after Luffy, Zoro has the most influence in the crew and he seems to just want to be rid of her. then after him, the rest of the crew besides Sanji would definitely not want her in the crew. Usopp and Nami would probably be the most defiant due to Usopp actually having fought her and how Perona stole Nami's treasures. Then Chopper will parrot whatever Usopp and Zoro says as he acts the part of a clingy younger brother to them. Could anyone honestly think perona would become an actual SH if nobody wants her?
On top of all this we already have a human female crowd control paramecia stowaway who was originally an antagonist and represents a darker side, just this is the annoying version of the dark side. The chances of another human are already low enough and so are the chances of another devil fruit user, people seem to forget how rare they are, I mean even WB only had a few Devil fruit users as division commanders yet they were pretty much the strongest crew in the world.

Yea, like Marco … and Ace ... and Jozu ... I don't know seems like the ones we know the best are pretty broken devil fruit eaters. Vista and Thatch are the only ones I can think of that aren't broken DF users, and Thatch was probably on his road to become one if it wasn't for Teach.
Oh, unless you meant all the other commanders we know pretty much squat about.

On the topic of devil fruit users, I think by now it's actually not that big an issue to have that many if a fishman/merperson does happen to join the crew. Considering how Zoro, Sanji and Franky rank #2-4 in power, devil fruits don't seem to really define strength in the Strawhat crew like they do for, say, admirals.
Sure, it'd be nice if they don't have DF powers seeing how crews like that of Shanks rely on seemingly pure manliness, but if more DF users do join there'd be no problems making it work, especially if the powers prove useful in the new world. -
