@wolfwoof:
Are you suggesting that there is no such thing as a civil dick punch?
Not according to Terry Pratchett.
The Marquis of Fantailler got into many fights in his youth, most of them as a result of being known as the Marquis of Fantailler, and wrote a set of rules for which he termed “the noble art of fisticuffs” which mostly consisted of a list of places where people weren’t allowed to hit him. Many people were impressed with his work and later stood with noble chest outthrust and fists balled in a spirit of manly aggression against people who hadn’t read the Marquis’s book but did know how to knock people senseless with a chair. The last words of a surprisingly large number of people were “Stuff the bloody Marquis of Fantailler—”

Taking into account what we know about DD, his dream about becoming PK, haoshoku haki and is overall personality, what if is real name is actually Donquixote D. Flamingo?
-
I could see Luffy developing a highly sophisticated and dangerous attack that includes his scrotum and gear third.

Come on not this allover again… People need to learn to read other threads and posts so things don't get repeated over n over again. Next someone will suggest that Crocodile could be Croco D. Ile like its some new idea he thought up.

None of those things are things attributed to D's. He's more like the D. Antithesis.

so, going off topic for a bit, I found this and thought it was interesting in relations to Rebecca. Just general thought on her outfit and such. I mean, its pretty obvious the whole arc right now is going for a Roman Collosseum thing.

Punk Hazard might be based on a planet!!? Not just that it was the Showdown Island of Akainu and Aokiji.
!
min 0:50In addition maybe some other islands or places in the new world could have their origins somewhere in our universe.
For example that planet/moon which troubled Capone or the lightning weather Urogue faced; just weather from another planet in our galaxy/universe. Oda you friggn science researcher -

^ I've noticed that too. I wonder if Oda is going to explore the other Blue Seas. It'd be a shame if he didn't. I'd love to get some space action and see the Strawhats travel in space. I'm guessing we might see the people of Skypeia again and some new sky islands. I'm also hoping to have an arc in the Underworld. My guess is that's where Pluton is at. Pluoton=Hades.

The point of the Grand Line is that it's where all the fantastical crazy stuff is. The four Blues are at best interesting takes on more realistic settings like Goa and that bridge.
But I think Oda has made the point that the adventures out there would be way way more tame and uninteresting in comparison to the Grand Line throwing us things like dinosaur islands, floating islands, and fishman island. -
Space action? thats something i would never imagined lol., if Eneru could travel to the moon without gas or being frozen to death i guess so why not

IMO, I think the Blue Seas are essential to the story.

Thats where the bubbles from Saobondy come in. They most likely could act as spacesuits.

He could, but should he? The confines of the story are pretty set on the Grand Line. We do get to see snippets of stuff, both from some shots and some flashbacks, but there's no real reason to explore what are kind of designated as "normal".
They aren't essential to the story aside from forming the world. -

They aren't essential to the story aside from forming the world.Well, I really do think its essential. The Revolutionaries are going to be an important part of the story and their focus is not on the Grandline alone. What makes you think the other Blues are normal? If Oda doesn't show the other Blues I'd be pretty bummed. I at least want small arcs in the other Blue Seas.

i believe they pop up when they leave Shabondy tho :getlost:

Oh, right. I meant the ones from Fishman Island. They have those coral things that produce bubbles similar to the ones in Saobondy. There are also ships from the New World traversing back to Paradise with coated ships. There is also the fact Whitebeards ships still had their bubbles on them. There is also that bubble that held up that Sky Island Nami was on.

Some of the SH's ended up in the Blues for the time skip.
Torino Kingdom where Chopper was at was in South Blue iirc.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
@lool:
i used to think that Capone was sucked up to sky by Shiki, they are both Matias and since Shiki isnt non cannon character, possible and it would be a great plot twist
Sorry to dissapoint, but Movie 10 was most likely the end of Shiki.
Oda was planning to do way more with Shiki in the New World. I heard he was originally planning on including him in the Whitebeard + Roger flashback at Whitebeard's death. So I'd presume that Oda had a lot planned for him. Unfortunately, they didn't want him to do that as it would make the story too long and complicated. He occasionally has to cut stuff or his "superiors" make him cut stuff, or so I believe.Shiki is one such example and Oda therefore had to cut him short by giving him a movie. A good movie though.
But how else do you think a pre-timeskip Luffy could have beaten somebody like that, who 20 years ago was around the same level as Whitebeard and Roger, and could fight Garp and Sengoku 'till Marineford was half destroyed before getting caught? And don't use the argument that he got old. He was preparing his plan for 20 years, he wouldn't neglect his own training and just grow really weak just like that. -

you are wrong.. please check your information again.

Hard to check information "again" if all I did was hear about it from somebody else.
I didn't feel like putting more research into the matter as I wouldn't even know where to start looking for something like that. -

I love when people just say what they want without any care for proof/evidence/logic. Not saying he is right, but why is he wrong?

so where is his so call "proof/evidence/logic" when he said what he said? i already told him to do some research.. and its not really important part of the story so…
-
Oda said in SBS vol. 55 that he was going to have WB mention Shiki during the conversation with Shanks, but decided that it would confuse readers. I haven't heard anything about his superiors forcing him to cut Shiki stuff or that he was going include Shiki in the Roger/WB flashback.

I have no idea, but at least he said he heard it from a friend.
My point is not wether one is right or not, it's just if you're saying something as a fact then you have the obligation to prove it.Oda said in SBS vol. 55 that he was going to have WB mention Shiki during the conversation with Shanks, but decided that it would confuse readers. I haven't heard anything about his superiors forcing him to cut Shiki stuff or that he was going include Shiki in the Roger/WB flashback.
This is proof. Saying "no you're wrong" is just being childish (no offense).

aww man… are you really sure he said this when he said what he said? or he said it after i tell him that he was wrong..
My point is not wether one is right or not, it's just if you're saying something as a fact then you have the obligation to prove it.
and no.. i have no obligation because he was wrong from the beginning.. and he knows that. hell, he didn't even sure whether what he said was right or wrong.. what he said was a speculation. so why he in the first place said it like it was the truth?
and its not really a big important things for One Piece as a story. so i don't think i need to provide any proof for it. people can just easily google about shiki if they really want to know..
This is proof. Saying "no you're wrong" is just being childish (no offense).
don't worry, no offense taken..
-
This is proof.
No…
I specifically said that @Jackermeister:
Oda said in SBS vol. 55 that he was going to have WB mention Shiki during the conversation with Shanks, but decided that it would confuse readers. I haven't heard anything about his superiors forcing him to cut Shiki stuff or that he was going include Shiki in the Roger/WB flashback.
While Evo claimed that's the case.
-
No…

Oda said in SBS vol. 55 that (…) = proof. Not discussing the claims, just the (lack of) proofs.
