I meant as in she's still alive. Cuz I assumed she wanted it to be complete because she had plans to use it.

If it's just complete some extremely powerful madness inducing creation by dying then I guess she was already insane.

I still don't understand why anyone thinks Arachne is still alive. Despite what Giriko pointed out, Soul ate her soul and became a Deathscythe. Medusa was just commenting on the residual memory her body contained, not any actual influence her sister still had. Arachne is dead.

! And now Medusa is too. I wonder if this means the third sister will make an appearance sometime soon. We haven't even had any mention of her for the entire series, but we do know that Arachne and Medusa have an older sister, somewhere.

Bad translation, Eibon says Kid is worried Shinigami may be the ultimate source of madness, or rather, the origin of all madness, which is something that has been hinted for long. Yeah, I think you should re-read everything again slowly XD

Both chapters, Soul Eater and Not! were good.
When I was reading Soul Eater I was like "what is happening, what is happening?!!!" and when I was reading Not! the ending made go "what is happening?" too, but in a cute way.

Two Questions:1.) Aside from her Yin-Yang symbol, was there anything else "scorpion" themed about Shaula? I guess the Yin or the Yang, whichever, could be the scorpion tail, but other than that I didn't see anything standoutish. 2.) Are we supposed to believe Akane(?) is only a half blood from the Star Clan or something? Or… is that madness affecting him? He said he kept his eye hidden (by his hair and glasses), implying they always show like that? The only time I remember seeing stars as Black Star's eyes were when he used his Madness form against Noah, and they looked exactly the same as Akane's do in this chapter of Not! So… is it only one eye? Is it madness?

Anyway... both chapters were great. I'm enjoying Not! a lot, especially the world building aspect and an interesting view on some backstory.

This is why I read Soul Eater. Well, one of the reasons.

great chapter, very twisted and creepy. Also, this is how you do a character that needs to be redeemed. Chrona has done some horrible things, perhaps some unforgivable things, but you still feel sorry for him/her. And you want Chrona to get a happy ending, regardless of how unlikely it may seem. One of the most sympathetic characters I've seen, but still horrifyingly evil in deed.

One thing I love about the Soul Eater anime is the way Excalibur says "BAKAme!" (I think o_o) in serious moments. It's friggn hilarious :P

Medusa dead. I have heard this before LOL. Medusa is just trolling us. She'll be back in some form or another in the future guaranteed. As for Chrona, she/he/it needs psychiatric help big time.

Edit: just reread that chapter. what a chilling chapter. That ending sort of freaked me out.

Shinigami has always aroused suspiscion, from the very beggining.

For him to talk about Asura Kid himself had to ask him personally. Since then, Shinigami has been hiding so many things, about Eibon, the magic tools, the madness, the reason why that Great Old One and now Eibon call Kid "fragment of Shinigami", etc.

On a side note, the Kishin's whereabouts are with each day closer to be unveiled.

I always seem to be a couple of months behind reading this series, But I guess that's a good thing right? well seems like this series is becoming more and more interesting.

Chrona engulfing Tsar in a sphere of black blood along with the town was nice, I was wondering what that huge black sphere was.
Medusa giving Chrona a hug was sweet, what chrona did right afterward was understandable as well.
I knew that sooner or later Chrona would be targetted.

Yeah I'm enjoying this arc so far. The newest chapter is actually one of the best the series has ever had imo. The part where she started stabbing Medusa was intense and unexpected, then when the whole thing ended with "This is a simple story about killing people" I was reminded why I like this series so much, excellent writing.

Maybe Kishin is hiding in the sky. The madness is concentrated the highest up there and Eibon did say Kidd's friends will know. Besides that it was a pretty boring transition chapter for me. Wasn't much impressed by the hunting of the whale since all they did was herd it around and the thing wasn't even fighting back.

the latest for soul eater was just average. not really much happened,until the end of course. which made me go aww, because that was the part i cared about.

as for NOT, pretty good, i burned through this chapter pretty quick, i was having too much fun reading this, just leaving me wanting more, as always
