Gol D. Roger is Garp's brother

Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
-
-
@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
Wouldn't it be crazy if Akainu was Garp's son/Dragon's older brother/Luffy's uncle?
I'd like some indication that Garp knows how to raise a relative in to a marine.
I think if that were true we would have a little more than an indication.

Raftel will be a rather surreal, almost supernatural island, as the culmination of the Grand Line weirdness. Not supernatural in the sense that there will be ghosts and zombies and stuff, but in subtle, ''that doesn't work that way'' kinds of ways.

Interesting thought.
-
Luffy will create a fleet of ships similar to how Shanks or WB have other pirates following them and Boa will join Luffy with her pirates.
-
It'd be cool if there was some secret shortcut to Raftel from the Florian Triangle

Hi there! I started rereading OP from Louge Town when the break started, and just now I saw this thing that looks like Brook's foreshadowing to me(bottom, left panel, under text bubble). What do you think?
(don't know in which thread to put it…and my post could pass as a theory, i guess...)
(if this was somewhere before, I'm sorry, didn't know how to search for it)!

http://media.onemanga.com/mangas/00000002/00000125/17.jpgI haven't seen or heard about anyone pointing this out, although maybe that's because it was brought up around the time of Brooke's appearance, when I wasn't apart of the forum. That's an interesting find!

A theory that just sprung to mind:
This might have been theorized already but I haven't seen it. I'm thinking that the Usopp pirates from back in Syrup Village will, gain 7,997 members, and be the 8000 followers of Ussop in the future.

WB is dying of a disease, that's why he was always shown with the nurses and the tubes, and now that he took them out he doesn't have long to live anymore in the war, regardless of injuries. At the end of the war, when Ace is safe, he will by this disease - not by the hand of an enemy because he is too godly for that. I'll quote this post when it comes true!

Even if that's true, I think people will argue that the time of death was obviously influenced by the big hole in his chest, which is still a wound. Unless you're proposing he gets healed?

Doesn't seem to be a disease really. Seems more to be just Newgate's lifetime of fighting finally catching up to him.
It's similar to how on Batman Beyond, Bruce Wayne has constant heart problems(among others). Not due to some disease, but because of how during his time as Batman Bruce always pushed his body to the limit and more often than not, beyond them.
As mean it may sound, he's simply gotten old.
-
Zoro in the end will become a Demon Slayer, a swordsmen who can cut Demons. this is not a dumb Theory, cause his abilty to hear the breath of things an Slice them, I think Demons are included, Cause he use Tchnique names Demons and He was reffered as a Demon Cutter in his fight against the Ship Cutter T-Bone.
He may learn it on the Island From teh Ossan
-
I bet he is dying of the same disease that Gold Roger was dying of when he gave himself up to the government

Are there demons in one piece yet? Like real demon demons?
-
Are there demons in one piece yet? Like real demon demons?
you never know with one piece
like did you know there would be sky people with wings before skypiea?
-
Are there demons in one piece yet? Like real demon demons?
No not really. According to Oda everything super natural is from a fruit power and everything else is normal. Normal apparently includes all that is Haki and Zoro's spirit creating the illusion of 3 heads and 30 arms and such.
No real ghosts or demons have been introduced in the story yet. And they probable wont.
As for sky people, and wings, thats nothing like demons at all. If they were really angels then yeah, but nah, just a different race who lived on the moon with vestigial wings.

Why the hell doesn't marco cut off his hands to get out of the handcuffs. Well hand. His devil fruit allows him to regenerate so wouldn't he just regenerate his missing hand? kthx

I had thought of this aswell but it just won't cut it for an epic death scene. "omg he just died of old age!" The point of a disease would be that his image as the strongest man in the world is preserved, as it turns out that the wounds didn't faze him that much, it was his disease that did him in all along.

Aokiji is at some point going to betray the MArines. I get this feeling he has higher goals. PLus he never seems to do anything. Freezing Jos is te first thing I think he's done, but it's like when he forze Luffy and Robin. He knew they would be unfrozen; the same goes for Jos. IF he was really sincere in his fighting he would shater JOs while he has the chance.
Or he could just be really really lazy :P -

Are you even serious? He did more than any other marine in this war except maybe Akainu. He froze the tidal waves, froze the bay and a bunch of people, he blocked WB's attack with a haki shield with the other admirals, he tried to kill Luffy (Marco stepped in), he froze WB, then tried to kill him (Jozu interfered), then he took out Jozu.
EDIT:
And don't forget this war is caused by one of the biggest criminals in the world (whitebeard) attacking marine headquarters, if Aokiji gets second thoughts here he shouldn't be an admiral in the first place imo.. -
I think Kizaru has done more actually. Aokiji seems to try a lot, but then he never seems to try enough. I'm sure that if he really wanted to, he could have cut WB's forces in half as soon as they got off their boats. He just never seems to fight to his potential. Kizaru's the one who's always involved in fights and defeating everyone.
Although if you ask me, he looks more shady than half of the villains in the manga. I llok at Garp and Sengoku and the look like Marines. Kizaru and Aokiji, just eh..
That's just me and a random thought.
Who knows though, if the Marines do fall after this war, or even if they're too weak to be seen as a significant threat, maybe then if any of the Admirals have other plans they'll be revealed. -

That sounds more like a cop-out.
A Newgate at his prime is something no one should ever have expected when this war started. It'd be setting the bar too high and leads to complaints that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

-

I wouldn't put it above Oda since it is basically the same cop-out he used to keep Roger's image intact.
-
Mr. 3 for Buggy's Pirate Crew!!!
-
I'm not so sure that Joz is alright. In the last frame with him frozen it looked like his arm was sliced and tilted aside.
Yeah. I was wondering about that too. Is Joz gonna be a one armed man like Shanks now?
It'd be easier to defrost diamond, but gluing the arm back on… :getlost:
-
@Elektrik:
Mr. 3 for Buggy's Pirate Crew!!!
IMO, Mr. 3 seems too good for buggy's crew. Mr. 3 will probably go find his B.W. pals, while Buggy gets the prisoners of ID. The marines will basically chase after the prisoners, catch most of them, except from Buggy and a few who Oda intends to add to buggy's crew. Thus, Buggy's crew would include, Buggy, Richie, Alvida, the rest of his old mates and some prisoners.

what would you call the klabautermann?
-
hey German dude what the heck is klabautermann, and another thing what about the sea kings, sea bulls, snow rabbits, and other weird creatures? i dont think its just me but i havent seen any of these lately.
-
^^
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/351/01/
read the manga  -
@Don:
what would you call the klabautermann?
I was just reading Volume 28 and I was thinking the exact same thing. So far that is the one exception to Oda's rule. Unless anyone else has an explination for it?
But the one thing about Klabauterman, is that it isn't born from dead people, curses, or any type of vudu magic/summoning of the dead. Well as far as Franky's explination of it goes. So as far as I can tell as long as those things aren't applied it is still "normal", using Oda's word.
-
oh duh the klabautermann, it sounds like a german word, looks like a german word, but its in a japanese manga???? anyway yeah im betting that it is what happens when the everyone wishes for it to be real so bad that it actually happens.
-
now on a different note just to change the topic for a bit…
do you think...
1. Luffy fights grandpa.
2. Luffy's grandpa lets him by secretly by putting up a bad fight.
3. Luffy's grandpa joins luffy because he no longer believes in the world government and goes against it like the giant dude ,that saved robin when she was young, once a navy Vice Admiral.
4. luffy falls dies, and then Ace dies, and the whitebeard pirates die, and Oda finishes the manga after realizing that he backed himself into at least a 300 chapter corner.Lets hear your thoughts,
P.s i woulda put this in a thread, but when i first tried posting a thread i messed up three times and AP shut me down for a month giving me the message 'three times.....'
-
Hey, i came up with a possible way of involving BB and Magellan into the war.
When Luffy and others try to escape through the Gate which is again on his way to close so that pursuing marines cant reach them once they escape. Then there is the entrance of Magellan who arrives from ID and gives the Marines hope because he is blocking the pirates way. But now comes the entrance of BB, a short chat between Magellan and Shirju(dont remember his correct name), and then BB shows Magellan his true Powers and one shots him. Pirates gets ready to fight BB but he gets draw away because of one of his crew mates who needs help(the mysterious one who opend the gates earlier(therefore i asume that it was one of BB´s men)). So the Pirates gets Luffys luck again^^ -
not bad man, except for Magellan got the flippin crap beat out of him, and thats not easy to do since Magellan spends his waking and sleeping day on the can. And BB would do nothing that would help Ace since he hates Ace.
-
who said he hates ace? he even wanted to have him in his own crew ;-) and he only was his ticket for becoming a shichibukai.
BB doesn´t have to see that the Pirates are on their way to escape, he only sees Magellan because he is behind him. He sees some ships on the horizont but they doesn´t matter because he want to give Magellan his revenge first. -
I don't think the escaping pirates are going to go back through the gate of justice. They would only be trapping themselves in the whirlpool.
I see them leaving somehow toward SA to hide in the lawless zone or heading off to FI and fleeing back to their territory in the new world.
-
Ok, this is gonna sound out of it's way, but I just wanna post it somewhere:
Mr.3 used to be a Tenryuubito, but due to some sort of event that happened in the past, he left his name behind and joined Crocodile instead.
-
^^ when this is true than i don`t know why he wnated to be a part of crocs utopia…as a tenrybuuto he already had that.
-
Like I said, there would have to be some sort of tragic event in his past for this theory to come true. It's rather farfetched, I know. :P

Am I the only one who sees a resemblance between Galdino and Sengoku?
Look here:
Just look at the noses and the lips. They are pretty identical. AND there is quite no one who has a similar nose. Maybe the lips, I'm not sure. Add up the eyes, the corner of their mouths, dimples, the long face structure, … Only the afro is missing D:

They just have the same body/face type. It's impossible for Oda to make characters completely unlike each other. Look at Brook(when he still had flesh), Aokiji, and Mr. 5.

Well, pretty much all the girls in One Piece have the same type of nose. :P
I see a resemblance but then I've always thought that Lulu looked like Mr. 3 more. And talking about strange resemblances - what about Paulie and Smoker? They are actually identical except that they sport different clothing and hairstyles. And Kohza also looks like both of them very much.
And I wonder if it's random that Coby and Luffy looks like each other so much now?
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/569/03/Same height, body frame and almost same face (Coby's drawed eye lines are more enclosed than Luffy and he has a scar in the forehead instead of under the eye). Otherwise only clothing and hairstyle is a difference.

Well, Brook doesn't look like Aokiji or Mr. 5 at all. His lips are way too thin and his nose is so too. But you got a point with Aokiji and Mr. 5. Too bad we've never seen Mr. 5's eyes for further reference.
