did moria release all the shadows yet?
Chapter 479 "Warrior of Hope" Discussion
-
-
No MDM, he did not. "the shadows are going to be returned" acording to the rolling pirates.
the only shadows that has returned are the ones that has been purified through salt by hand. also the shadows in luffy has escaped him (although since the owners of those doesnt seem to be on TB we dont know if they are still traveling as of the end of the chapter or already found their owners)
-
Not sure if anyone said this but I think the reason Kuma asks people if they were on vacation where would they go so he can send them there. Which is why the disappear.
-
kaimei: i thought perona was out of the picture after encountering kuma.
oh you were perhaps beeing silly?
Yeah, because Perona coming back due to something shitty like "TB being her dream place" would be as ridiculous as Absalom coming back for Nami's Boobs or Hogback being stuck all this time between the stinky toes of Oddz…
But besides that, the thing of Doppelman getting Moria's ass out of TB would be nice. Moria's such an amazing character, so I hope Oda saves him for a later Arc.
-
Moria will probably get his own cover story, just like other main villains like Buggy and Enel.
-
Yeah, except for the part where the battle probably isn't over and we'll see Odz's arm come off before this is over.
would you care to enlighten me on how moria got his bounty then? the shichibukai are used to scare other pirates primarily. yes they are strong but i assume moria got his bounty by his army and TB. what else does moria have to scare other pirates and be a threat to WG?
We shall see in a week, who's who and what's what and where's where and how is how.
-
sadly, it's two weeks….

Wow, this is so sad it's funny.Even if he's jokeing the joke is so sad that it is funny.

HOLY SHIT!
How did no one think of this before!(btw: if you're being sarcastic, use smileys, otherwise I'm going to treat you like an idiot…)

I thought it was just no chapter THIS week?

Just letting you know everyone said the SH team work was going to show its effects on Odr, this chapter but it didn't.
I'm not saying there's a deadline, or a time-frame. Anyone who does with certainty is foolish. But that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of opportunities for it from here out. Zoro's 'plan' still stands a great chance of saving them all.
Who am I to say?
Thank you! That's all I care about, keeping an open mind. I just didn't like the tone of your first post where it seemed to say it was 100% a waste:
"Odr arm falling off" is nothing but wishful thinking, but VERY unlikely.

Thats not my post, thats the Anointed post.

Fixed.
I was waffling between responding to one or both of you and copied and pasted like a madman, my bad. The response remains the same though.
-
Oh Ok, but it is nothing but wishful thinking until Oda does it in the comic.

That statement I agree with.

If Moria is knocked out, then the Rolling Pirates can throw him into the sea. Either two things can happen: Moria begs for his life and releases the shadows, and The Rolling Pirates remove him from the water, or Moria's powers will be nullified by the sea. Either way, the shadows would be set free. It's possible the shadows are already free, but there is no evidence to support this theory. Two weeks is a long time to wait for a conclusion.

Or he could sink, die and the shadows would never be returned. He said himself that even if Luffy beat (killed?) him, the shadows would not return unless he released them. If he was telling the truth and was saying that if he died it wouldn't work, then the shadows wouldn't be released. If death doesn't nullify his powers, I doubt water would.

If the sea is not able to nullify his powers, then do you think BB could make him return the shadows back? I would think so. Moria being killed and being exposed to the sea are not the same. This is a good SBS question.

About Zoro´s plan on getting Luffy´s shadow back - It was pretty much clear that this won´t happen because this is the classic "we must do everything to let the worst case scenario not happen" which always fails. In Arabasta they tried everything to prevent the royal army and the rebels from colliding, and they failed. In Water 7 they boarded Rocket-Man to not let Robin get to Enies Lobby and they failed. Also Robin tried everything to not get the Strawhats involved with the Buster Call and yet it was futile once again.
In an action manga the worst case scenario will always take place. But if the author aims to show it it doesn´t mean that the characters themselves are willing to wait for it happening. They have to say that they try to prevent it.
And though a little bit different the "get Luffy´s shadow back" thing follows also the same parameters that the characters try to do something that will fail after all in the end. If they would have retreived the shadow it would be like having stopped the rebellion or having completely squashed the BC fleet. That´s not the level on which the Strawhats are yet.
On the right arm thing - This is a different matter getting rid of a zombies arm doesn´t finish the creature. But I guess it didn´t happen so far because then it would be like "Nightmare Luffy only could crush Odz because he was missing one arm". Now that the point is proven that Odz with all his might was owned by Nightmare Luffy the arm can easily fall off if he gets back up again.

Withyour post, Ivotas, this thread should end until next chapter.

You my Friend is no One piece fan.
He does have a point y'know. And he is too a One Piece, probably a bigger one than you. As he not a Fanboy who thinks it the most perfect thing ever, but he can see and yet respect the bad parts, and not just making everything good.

Little question, i have read on another forum, that there is no chapter this week. Is that true?
-
Did you read the first page?

There's a chapter this week. Spoilers should be out soon.
not.
-
That's to be expected. He did just draw a major chapter, and he usually takes breaks after drawing something like that.
And with trying to get the shadows back from Moria, I just thought of this, wouldn't Kuma try and stop them? I mean, it's hard enough that he's unconscious now, but Kuma's there to make sure Moria doesn't lose, and he was supposed to take out the SHs, even if he said he wouldn't. And Doppelman might still be able to move and fight, even if Moria's out, since he's a shadow and not an extension of Moria himself.

is this true or were you just being sarcastic?
Jacko is the first person to make the first post and he askes is there a chapter…did you even read the post or were you just happy with the first?
-
Oda's taking a Thanksgiving break. His Thanksgiving must be epic.
100 turkeys,
200 pounds of mashed potatoes
55 gallons of gravy
150 pounds of stuffing
200 pounds of corn
1 hot wife
75 hookers -
is this true or were you just being sarcastic?
the answer is before your eyes.

I think BF edited this message with no chapter next this week.
-
So… why did Oda even bother to add the zombie generals?
And why did the SH bother to spend so many chapters on exploiting the enemy's weakness, if at the end it was just useless..I cant wait for fishman island, but i seriously DONT hope this is the end of the chapter.
-
Wow, you know, from the responses decrying the arc for its useless loose ends, you'd think the Strawhats were already packed up, on their ship and sailing away.

I made a similar post earlier. I guess we both missed those hidden pages that had the SHs leaving TB on Thousand Sunny.
@Ivotas - Excellent post.
-
I'm surprised that someone would think this arc would end with a rehashed version of Luffy's old attack. At least "Jet Gatling" was new because it was related to Gear 2, but this sudden storm looked more like Luffy just doing the most damage he could in a short time as opposed to a final attack.
Really, I think that Nightmare Luffy will ultimately be a method of quickly weakening Odz for some final attack, kind of like the spirit bomb in the first Goku vs. Vegata fight. With all we know about zombies the chances are very likely that Odz will get up again–the zombie generals were probably KO'd cause Odz could break their bodies to the point they couldn't move again.
-
Speaking of missing chapter, anyone knows the date for the usual end of the year two weeks break in publication?
-
I'm still very confused. Is there a chapter this week? This is like all I have to look forward to every week. I need my One Piece fix!
-
No, no chapter this week.
-
NNNOOOOOO!!!!!. I need to see the end of this arc already. Cmon Oda! End this so I can see Brook join already.
-
Geez, there's still a lot of this arc to resolve, it's not like it'll all end next chapter…and in the fight with Oz/Odz, Brook might as well have joined the crew, so a formal invitation and acception wouldn't be some crazy and unexpected event, like with Franky joining or Robin joining.
And if Kuma's gonna do more, then I don't really want this arc to end suddenly.
-
No, no chapter this week.
Again????
What's happening? It is like a "no chap" week every months now… That's really disappointing this ark is having so many pauses.
-
Lazy Oda, no chapter again?
I'm disappointed in you, sir. -

xmast and epiphany. I think. Last year was after the first chapter of BB vs Ace (I'm pretty sure but ain't so sure).
-
Hopefully, the next chapter would be over 40 pages, so it can be much more worth it to wait a little longer for it (and I bet in the anime that would probably be the point where that whole chapter would be one episode entirely. Just so you know, most of the chapters in a manga, like 2-3 chapters are about 1 episode, but probably the primiere would be the very first chapter, I think ).

40 peges??? why??? if true that's a good new.
-
@iSheep:
Lazy Oda, no chapter again?
I'm disappointed in you, sir.Manga-kas spend the majority of every week in one spot furiously writing and re-writing and drawing and re-drawing and editing and re-editing each page, get very little rest, and in addition to all of that, he just drew an epic chapter that would take even more energy and imagination to design.
So, do you still think he's lazy or do you think he deserves one week off?
-
I don't have a problem when he takes a week off, he could take 2/3 months off, but the last time it was like " 5 chapters, no chapter, 4/5 chapters, no chapter again.
I don't like the way how this' going. -
Oda's already 3 or 4 chapters ahead in drawing so he's probably already done with 480 through 483 so I don't think he's taking a break because of the next chapter…he probably just needs a rest =P
-
Dang, no chapter. That really sucks.
-
Hello, it is a Holiday this week! No surprise he took off.
-
Yeah, apparently Japan has a Labour Thanksgiving Day…..
But...I'm under the impression quite a few people here actually thought Oda celebrates OUR Thanksgiving Day....
-
Well, other manga-kas still wrote for this week, and it's a holiday, so why would Oda-sensei be any different?
