RE: Post Riddles
Is it a word in Dwarvish or Elvish or something? Because I don't think any of the places were called "Forty-Eight"

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
He didn't die the first time, so it wasn't that weird when he "came back". Besides, Abdul was a cool character, so I was happy when he showed up again. Everyone was saying he died to just fool Dio and his subordinates anyway, so it's not that shocking when they said, "Oh, he died, it hit his brain."

RE: Are politics ruining our country?
founded on the principles of no taxation
It was taxation without representation, and that wasn't the main block it was founded on. The revolution was in part started because of taxation without representation.
The real irony with that is that D.C. has no real representation, but is still taxed. And it's the fucking capital.

RE: Are politics ruining our country?
It seems like, whenever politics come up, it turns into a horrible flamewar that no one ever wins. Even the people we put all of our faith in to run the government have been lowering themselves to this behavior, as seen in the last presidential debate. Regardless of the facts, do you guys think, as I do, that this fighting is ruining our country? I can't go for more than a day without hearing something about Sarah Palin, and whenever I visit my relatives down south, someone tries to convince my dad that FOX news is better than CNN, and I hate how more and more people seem to be turning into obnoxious political fanboys.
It's certainly better than a totalitarian dictatorship or a theocracy, so I have no real problems with a government driven by politics.
But in your specific example, it's not a problem with the government itself, just the people running to take office in it.
And Sandai, religion's faced plenty of dire straights before video games. There's not some deep set hatred between the two.
