! I was pretty sure that everyone from the previous universe died and were replaced by similar lookalikes.

! that's what happened only to those killed between the offset of MiH and the death of Pucci. Everyone else just carries on with their life, probably even unaware of the resets (there were 2), in a world were there was no Dio to begin with.
So it's the ultimate victory of the Joestars on their archnemesis, but the unresolved continuity problems lie in what do the still living characters from previous remember about Jotaro and what happened to them. Is Giorno still allowed to live in a world where his father never existed? is Kira still at large? If everybody just died and was replaced… It's more of a downer ending than anything else.
Everything that happened in part 4 and 5 would be either canceled or made useless, both cases are a shame.
! So again, to answer the original question, I like the finale a lot as its part's, but it's implications on the bigger scale just don't sit well with me

Jojolands better be a scifi story with a female and male sibling duo as protags, a female antagonist, Stands like Daft Punk, Electric Light Orchestra, Rush and Dark Side of the Moon as a mayor villian…

As for the spinoff, sounds interesting! PHF was the best spinoff by far and I still hope we will get an adaptation of that one day, but this is fine as well.

These last two chapters were beautiful. Not they I understood a single thing of what happened here with the engine and so, but still. Now I'm even madder at the years we lost after the head doctor and the calamity bullshit, if we could have more of this instead.

! Now, seeing how the Holly situation wasn't resolved in the least and Josuke's comments on other LANDS maybe having more rokakakas and given the tentative name of part 9… Yeah I'm getting some shivers here. But it would really weird to have part 9 being actually 8.2, so I guess I'm 2036 the last chapter of JoJolands will hastily recap Josuke and Yashho's quest for fruits and how it connects to the whole story.
! Anyway, the trend of the protagonist initial motivation not being fulfilled by the end of the story is becoming a trend with seinen JoJo, like the kid Gyro wanted to save being pardoned anyway and then dying of flu.

Def. in the weaker soon-to-be-third of parts for me along with SO and PB, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I feel like this will profit from an anime the most since a lot of the issues are pacing related.

A pretty good ending to probably the worst part. Why couldn't Josefumi have been the protagonist? He's a million times more interesting than Gappy.

So far I had no issues with this part. But ending on a cliffhanger like this definitely makes this not only the worst part of Jojo but actually the worst ending of any series. Just tell me which cake you are going to chose goddamit!

Given the Part 9 name and how some plot points like Holly are still unresolved, I almost wonder if Part 9 will be a similar idea to Part 3 where Jojo and their JoBros travel across the world to save her. Except this time Josuke is the Joseph of the part, they are looking for the Rokaka fruit and instead of Dio it's the leader of the stone people (so Kars basically).

I agree, absolute banger of an opening. Loving the CG and the many references to part 3 in it. After watching it I'm definitely more pumped for the anime than ever before!

Visually it's the very best opening for sure. Music wise though… meh. I just don't think it sound like a jojo OP, more just generic anime OP. It's not awful like Chase, but it's one of only 2 not stellar OPs. I just happened to listen to the amazing fighting gold yesterday (that one gives me chills) and the difference is clear.
Who knows, it might grow on me though, like traitor's requiem.

Opening 4 was great, not a great example to be honest…
I heard way better music clips as a possible opening for Part 6, that's why I think this one is so bland compare to those.

The issue, is I don't think it has been announced it the Japan transmission on tv will start with episode 1 or episode 13, as far as I know.
