I'm totally onboard with the webcomic deviating and becoming a different story. I was digging the earlier ending where Garou just sits down and politely talks with Saitama lol
But then they changed their mind again for the millionth time and they gave us the worst thing possible... And then they still force a square peg into a round hole by copiyng the original ending, which makes no sense anymore with how different Garou is.

Character motivations make no sense and are boring: garou is just brainwashed by god so has no actual agency, time travel nonsense conveniently changes their personalities because plot demands we still have the original ending.
Angst... Saitama power graph... it's become what it was parodying.
I was loving this until Garou joined above ground. It was really an improvement over the webcomic. Cadre chapters were fantastic.

I was afraid they'd leave Black Sperm dead, with all the changes they've made. Being in the "official" version is a good sign for my boi

The first act was a delight. Great visuals and music. It was pure fun and and I was really digging it, had high hopes for the rest. Strongest start of any OP movie. But the rest of the movie didn't emotionally resonate with me, but I did like Uta.
Overall it was still good. Better than the other movies except for Z and maybe Gold ties with this one. Film Z with it's emotional core is still leagues above the rest.

Anyway there was some great stuff in this movie, namely great animation, nice music and Uta character exploration. Just wish there a bit more of it. The second and third acts are kinda lacking in music videos which is strange from a musical.

Heck, way before this arc started, people who were familiar with the original said it to people to follow the manga cause they were doing an entirely different thing later on.

But now I can't do that in peace cause ever since the first major change appear, a bunch of "The original was better! Perfect! Stop reading this and read the webcomic instead!" folks started to complain nearly every new chapter.

I mean, there is a reason we have a thread to the original webcomic in the first place. Fuck!

Well, your wish will be granted soon. Because when we're done with monster association we're going into territory webcomic readers aren't as passionate about (not because what's come so far is bad mind you, MA was just so iconic). We're also diverging from the webcomic, so we're going into relatively new or totally new territory for us too.

This kinda desribes the problem who await us in the next arcs, with Luffy the man who beat the strongest creature.
No one in OP world(except Imu probably) going to surpass Kaido far exceed, the other opponents at best surpass that very slighty at best with a small gap.

Blackbeard has also grown and will end up surpassing Kaido as a threat as well. Luffy and BB mirror each other in this too. BB is the only big main bad guy remaining so that's fine (I think Im is not a combatant, that he'll be dealt with in the same arc as BB). Though I will give you, it's sad that Akainu seems totally outclassed by luffy now. Though doubtful, I also hope that BM and Luffy will still have their relatively evenly matched 1v1 to settle things. I have many problems with the latest developments but this isn't one.

Wow. Just watched it… wow. that's all I can say. Bravo to the anime staff.
It's up to the anime to elevate the manga material now. For the first time ever, the anime's slow pace is a benefit if they keep correctly fleshing stuff out that was so rushed in the manga. Let's see the anime can make me like what's to come, it seems possible at this rate.

Lets see... I went from troubled young man to untroubled boomer who doesnt get this gosh darn newfangled tiktok. Also leveled up to level 30 wizard only to later hand my wizard badge back in. Quite a journey if I put it like that.

Still I stay by what I said, it's cool we got all this other stuff over just a remake, as much as I would've loved that too.

Oh god that last page. Can't remember the last time a manga made me audibly laugh.

And yeah, I miss serious table flip and I enjoyed webcomic more story wise, but I've finally come to accept this as a different thing. Think of all the other cool stuff we got. Was disappointed in G/P sperm, he stole the show in webcomic but in return we got greatly expanded other cadre fights. Never would've expected fuhrer ugly to make for my favorite chapter. I should be happy in hindsight we got different stuff, instead of just a shiny remake.
Don't like Blast being brought in so fast though. They've got no patience and disicpline with throwing in random scenes and characters we don't need, I tell ya hwat.
Also I'm guessing that's just another member of Boros' species and just a lion-man alien.

Yup definitely can't complain. We lost some stuff but the webcomic still exists and we got so much for it. Still the best manga around at the moment.
