@blackness662 you should wait to post this here until sunday.
You are right, I deleted my post, because it contained spoilers from 1057.
Thanks for the warning!

Am I the only one who is not moved at all by this news?
I think the original anime is perfect, it doesn't need a remake...
So this is a big no for me.
This episode could be very emotional and everything IF we wouldn't see all these scenes and related things at least 15 times already...
So, for me, this episode was a completely waste of time, except some scenes with Kaido and Luffy.
The very last part of Wano was boring and overdramatized in the manga and the anime couldn't improve it any better sadly... : (
To be honest, I just want the Wano arc to end in the anime , so we can move on.
I watched 4 episodes already and I must say that I am impressed with it so far.
Yes, there are the changes of course, but the overall feeling is perfect, they totally nailed it.
I really hope the following things in the future arcs:
no princess/little girl/damsel in distress plotline.
We had enough of those already.
The only thing acceptable for me is a subplot (in Marijoa) for rescuing Vivi.
we don't need so many new characters as in happened in Wano.
They take up so much screentime from the others.
give more depth for the SH crew, especially in reaction for the world events
Oda should close the "who will be the next nakama" thing forever.
I don't want to experience this whole "I am going to join! Or maybe not." thing again.
It is not funny, just irritating and time consuming in the end.
Oda will minimalize the off-screen moments considerably
I had the same problem with this episode (and probably will have later on with the similar ones) when we touch the "tragedy" of Wano any way:
The anime team so overused all these flashbacks and scenes (at least 15 times, but who counts...) regarding Oden and the Wano suffering (Otama, SMILE fruits, etc.) that I (and many fans as well) became totally numb to all this.
Sorry, but that's the truth.
I just want Wano arc to end and move on.
And we got another recap episode... great.
@Robby said in Yamato (spoilers for anime-only watchers and those not caught up with the manga):
Also, its INCREDIBLY shitty for a character's main dream to be "I want to go on adventures with Luffy" and then miss on on THE BIGGEST AND BEST adventure, getting to Laugh Tale and becoming Pirate King.
Another great point, I can't believe I forgot to mention that...
No matter what Oda plans for Yamato in the future (nakama in the epilogue, etc.), nobody will care, because she missed the most important trip of all and the manga will end.
Still one thing I would like to see (as a final trolling from Oda after all this joke):
Yamato would meet Luffy again later (at the end of the manga) and tell Luffy that she is ready now for the great adventure, then Luffy would casually say: "I already had my awesome adventure, you missed it! BAKA! Go clean the toilets or someting..." :)
Great episode, the new opening is fantastic, Hiroshi Kitadani did it again! : )
And the art style choice is perfect as well!
Good way to start 2024.
Fantastic episode, the manga was great but the anime did even better with this battle! : )
The episode was good, but it is very tiring to see all these recap episodes...
I know that they have to make sure that the manga stays ahead, but it is not right if it affects the actual pacing that much.
The special was really fun and well done, so I can't complain. : )

The episode was everything I expected, next week we will get a recap episode again, so the actual Egghead adventure will start in January.
Oda's message this year is quite confusing, so it can mean literally anything...
The "new" anime project with Netflix and Wit Studio is a big no for me, but at least we will get the Monters anime adaptation, which is cool.

The new visuals are nice, go Egghead! : )
If they keep the pacing right, and forget all those recap episodes, this arc will be great in the anime.
I am glad that the Wano arc is finally over.
4 years, which was long even in the manga.
There were quite a lot highlights in the anime (the fights and some scenes), which were often overshadowed by the horrible pacing and numerous recap episodes...
To me, the Wano anime arc is same as the manga:
A strong 7/10, with one of the worsts and dragged on closure in the whole OP story.
And I still think the thing with Yamato was really cheap move from Oda.
I am very happy that we move on to Egghead!
