Where is Faust??? If Faust doesn't show up when the full moon is clear again, then Oda forgot about him  His inclusion in the story would open up possibilities of expanding the Minks history.

Sulong needs proper training, at this point it seems totally safe to assume Bepo can't control it and that's way he didn't take advantage of it so far.
-
So all Bepo needs is someone whose voice can reach the mind of an uncontrollable Sulong Mink. I got someone in mind…:ninja:

I don't know if I should ask this here or the Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread thread, but here goes:
Taking all the breaks into account, on what chapter will One Piece end this year?We went from 967 to 999 last year, 33 chapters. Using the same number as a rough estimate would put us at around 1032 by the end of the year. May be more or less (I'd personally guess more), but probably not by much.
-
We should also make it to Volume 100 by the end of the year, too.

Thanks for the answers, guys.

Is there any chances that the Tobbi Failure actually gets to do something before they all kiss the ground?
I thought Sasaki would end up being tougher than the Wapometal.
Ulti can't control her emotions apparently, and that'll pretty much guarantee her defeat.
I would Like Bluma to at least defeat Brook and leave the rest to Robin at some point, she already wasted the chance of taking down of the strongest SH´s.
PageOne is literally not doing anything, com' on, just leave and listen to King who's desperately asking if there's anyone not busy at the moment.
Who'sWho is pretty much the only one who's not a complete failure, he stopped Jinbro, who's quite and unstoppable force, so I'm good with him.
-
I actually think the Tobi Roppo have been pretty successful secondary villains so far. Ulti and Page-One had a pretty good showing both against Luffy and against Usopp and Nami and Black Maria was really badass in her last appearance.

It was really beneficial to introduce them together (Page and Drake aside) instead introducing them one by one. Their initial conversation helped give a sense what kind of characters they are rather quickly.

I know the mansion is huge, but how do you explain if more Numbers pop up? Apoo confirmed there's 10 of them in total (991). Maybe the other Supernova crews have been keeping them busy off panel, but it was never hinted at. Maybe the mansion is that big and they can be in a part that hasn't been shown yet. 1, 2, 3, 6 and 9 are being kept in Oda's back pocket.

After over a year of taking a break from reading One Piece, and rereading the series to finally catch up on the Wano arc, just wanted to take time to put my thoughts on the arc so far.
The biggest weakness of this arc is easily the fact there is an emotional core missing from the arc. Pre time skip was quite good at making sure the larger arcs had a person you were attached to to make you emotionally invested. Unfortunately, this arc lacks that. Momonosuke should've been that, but with how little presence he had before the arc he provides little for me to care about. There's been those moments with him where he's supposed to represent Oden's will and/or hope of Wano, but those moments never hit me. There's also the fact that by the time we see the flash back meeting Oden, Oden himself is wholey uninteresting. The major problem with the flashback for me is for as long as it was, it was all over the place and was more the life story of Oden. Past flashbacks seemed to focus on very particular character interactions and moments, which made the characters endearing. In this flashback, we go from Oden getting his samurai guard quick, to him going to sea, finsing his wife and having his two children, to being back at Wano once Orochi and Kaido have taken root. At best, his relationships with the characters are shallow, and at worst are a foot note. By the end of the flashback, I felt no emotional attachment to the relationship that Oden had with the various Samurai.
On to the more positives, originally back before taking the break I felt that the arc was going around aimlessly. That was mostly due to the fact at the time I was reading more out of obligation to stay up to date, rather than being active. Though there is a part of it that when reading week to week an unfinished story arc you don't know exactly how things are supposed to unfold and what it is ultimately leading towards. On a reread, there was one revelation that hadn't been revealed back in early 2020 (the final samurai of Oden) that I picked up on who it was, so when the reveal happened it was cool having guessed correctly. Though on the part of the traitor, it was at least for me well kept I was surprised when it was revealed who it was. If I was to describe this arc, it would be chaotic, but well done. Characters are introduced and then taken out of the picture, with constant changes in ideas on who's on which side. Information is learned and leaked and things are constantly changing. On the one hand, it makes individual characters less interesting with how many there are. On the other, because of how many characters there are, it seems best to be brief with them to give the idea of all the past histories between people without having to go too in depth.
This chaos gets dialed up to 11 once the fight is taken to Kaido's base. While the classic match up between a Straw Hat and a specific antagonist was great, there's something about the constant fluctuation in this battle that makes it so engaging. It also makes sense when you consider the major personalities in the battle. We saw on Saobody how well Kid, Law, and Luffy get along (they don't), so with the three of them together they are going to bicker and do what they want. This goes doubly so with Big Mom and Kaido, who have a history together and can only work so well together, both with short fuses and larger than life personalities. Add in all the other characters, it makes sense that in such a battle chapter to chapter things are going to change so quickly. I am greatly enjoying how slowly the tides are turning, as some of the lower soldiers of Kaido's crew are switching sides due to Queen's treatment of them, and how those with Smile fruits have a major weakness to Otama's ability. Speaking of Otama, I liked the payoff with her and Big Mom helping out because she feels a sort of debt/gratitude for when she had amnesia.
As far as my favorite moment of the arc, it was just Jimbe joining the crew. His entrance to Wano was great with his little speech, but the simple box with his name and being the helmsman just hit me so hard. Ever since the end of Fishman Island we knew he was going to join, and at the end of Whole Cake Island it was just a matter of time. So finally having it official on that page was years in the making that was great to finally see. Oda has also done a great job of making him both fit in but also a little out of place being new to the crew. He instantly went with all the monsters of the crew to take out the outpost like it was natural. On the other hand, he doesn't understand certain quirks like Zoro not knowing directions. Also, I'm not a shipper, but I could see Robin and Jimbe being a couple. Not going to happen, but on the off chance a pairing was to happen those two together I would not be surprised about.
All in all, I am really enjoying the arc. Whole Cake island is still the best post time skip arc, but this one is starting to have a lot of great pay off with everything going on in act III. Feels like we are in the final stretch of the climax, so I would think and hope the battle is over by end of summer, assuming no major hiatuses due to health problems.

I agree with most of this, being in the middle of my own re-read of Wano, things flow far better when read in a binge, because the weekly read is honestly marred by how "targeted" we have become in our collective reading style, we regularly look for little morsels of info on the big macro game, but Oda uses those as misdirection to seed other things that happen within the arc, for example, Carrot's loss due to the weaknesses of Sulong was foreshadowed right before Oden's flashback, and Queen's targeting of Drake was brilliantly built up via red herrings since the beginning of the raid.
Also mad props for the Oli avatar, one of my favorite gaming characters ever!

Personal Straw Hat drama is what I think led to many having Enies Lobby as their favorite, considering what happened with Robin and the Merry. I think the most personally dramatic it got is when Sanji was going through his crisis over choosing whether to be the knight in shining armor who tries to save everyone or swallow his pride and ask for help, going off from his character progression from Whole Cake. Depending on how personally dramatic it gets, I can see people being quick to favorite Wano over previous arcs, including Enies Lobby and Marineford.

I think the main problem with Wano is that it's hard to feel this battle as too dangerous. It feels like two sides that are mostly balanced, and that's not good to create tension. I've been waiting the "darkest moment" for almost three volumes, and each time things start to get worse for the Alliance, the following chapters proceed to make it more even again.
While I'm still confident that things will go south before they get better, it has been a very very long, sometimes even frustrating, wait.

I feel that it's honestly best to not wait in anticipation of certain events to happen. That's not really saying that one should stop expecting good storytelling out of of Oda, but I feel that even if say, the Big Mom pirates land on the scene (which is something you have been anticipating for a while, as is your right), it may not really have that much of an impact on you because you've "seen it coming". Much better to try and stay in the dark and experience things fresh IMO (and I feel that the window for them arriving has passed, I think they will be probably saved for upcoming arcs).
Another issue that I'm seeing (not directed to you in particular) is that the community needs to stop thinking of this arc as a "war arc", this arc is not remotely structured like Marineford was, and it clearly doesn't aspire towards the same creative aims, sure the names involved are far bigger than usual, but ultimately this is an arc that's designed to:
- Be the payoff to the larger post timeskip arc, and chronicle the rise of Luffy to true Emperor status.
- To streamline the series in preparation for the endgame, this arc alone will likely see 1-2 emperors and 2-3 Supernovas off the chessboard, which is a huge movement of "pieces"!
- To be a tool for Oda to get most of the Japan references he left unused out of his system.

And that those wanting a war reminiscent of Marineford may have to look further down the road, because I don’t think Wano will end up being the war arc they’d want.

I agree partially concerning Momo. I feel that Kinemon has easily been more of a focus. Not just this arc, but since Punk Hazard. I have an understanding of why, but i'd prefer if the focus was more equal with Momo getting the slight lead in a way. Similar to how Jinbe and Shirahoshi shared the focus in FI with Shirahoshi getting the slight lead.

Alongside Law, Kin’emon has gone on to be one of the most frequently appearing non-Straw Hat characters in the series, even though he’s not part of the main cast of Straw Hats, probably feeling more apparent than with Vivi. That felt like the case for the first few years in the New World until Whole Cake came along, which basically moved away from Law and Kin’emon in favor of focusing more on Straw Hat drama and developing Germa’s potential role in the future in the process. In that respect, I suppose once Wano is opened and Kin’emon and the others exit from the story, that’s probably when some people will feel like the Straw Hats themselves will have more personal focus, similar to how it was for Whole Cake.

It's not about waiting for specific events, but for basic story beats.
Yes, I think the Big Mom Pirates will arrive and make everything worse, but that is a prediction rather than an anticipation. I'm fully aware that it may not happen. But "things get worse before they get better" is more generic and way more sure to happen, to the point that if it does not happen the story will lose all tension. So, even if my BMP prediction is totally wrong, I am getting restless about the "darkest moment" taking so long to happen (or not happening at all).

When it comes to long running series like One Piece, inevitably there are going to be long stretches of build up before everything starts paying off. That or if you want to try to keep people engaged try to cut down on the build up and make something big happen each chapter at the expense of a more coherent story. Rereading the series and thinking about how it would've felt reading the Water Seven/Enes Lobby arc week to week, I can see how exhausting it would be at a certain point. Heck, I remember being the most active here when reading Dressrosa weekly, and the week to week reading could give a bad impression to a lot of people, but when read in bulk it's isn't as bad since you aren't waiting to see how everything plays out. Going back to my Oden flashback, it was around 14 chapters from start to finish, and looking at the dates it was almost 5 months for all those chapters to come out. I had my problems with the flashback but because I could read through all of it at once it wasn't as bad. However week to week, I remember it being brutal.
Always happy to meet an Olivier fan. In any other game he'd be my favorite but being in the same game as Estelle he's a close second favorite of mine.

I'm conflicted on this aspect. On the one hand, I feel Whole Cake Island was the arc where the most tension with going against an emperor was supposed to occur. Very small part of the crew and limited allies made for very tense moments, and was not about outright beating their opponents but making it out alive. It was a great way to show what kind of monsters they were about to go against and the kind of man power they would need. On the other hand, while not needing to be quite as intense as Whole Cake Island, it does feel like the idea of Big Mom and Kaido being teamed up hasn't been given proper justice. It was neat how they were effortlessly taking on 5 of the worst generation, but it was pretty short and didn't quite live up to the hype. That and some of the stuff that happened was a little too convenient, such as Otama's ability to be effective against smile users, and the bigger one, Queen just tossing Apoo the antidote to his plague. To me personally the execution of everything else has been great enough that it's a minor complaints for me, but I can see how other readers would be less enthusiastic about the battle so far.
On another note I forgot to mention, I do like seeing how the Smile fruits end up working out. Sure, the user gets more power, but unlike regular fruits it doesn't come out the way it's supposed to. My favorite one being the user who has a Gorilla grow out of his hand. Show's that it can give a power boost, but won't be nearly as effective as a regular Zoan fruit.

To be fair, the antidote plotline was not a mistake from Queen so much as it was Chopper's credit. Queen pointed out mass-producing antibodies and distributing it was impossible, and he only expected a few people to use it.

Ok so, here's an idea.
What if Yamato's transformation doesn't really come from a DF, but is a natural Oni-thing.
Sort of like Dellinger.
Kaido's hybrid form is not working to subdue Luffy, and we're expecting him to reveal the last ace under his sleeve, so maybe, Kaido is actually going to pull off a "Freeza" and claim that's not even his final form.
Showing the powers of his unique Oni-race.
That could even be forashadowed in the upcoming Kaido/Yamato flashback.

One line in the latest chapter (1012) stuck out to me as needing some follow up:
Why would the second floor of the treasure repository connect to the third floor of the castle? The shots inside this connecting hallway have no obvious slant or stairs, so the two floors are probably level with each other. So I spent some time trying to visualise how these structures inside the dome work.
Oda's given us some good overhead maps of the dome interior already (the most recent one just below), but they don't sell the verticality of the place at all.
Given that floor 1 of the castle starts above the Performance Floor and even that has two layers, and is itself elevated above sea level by a long flight of stairs, it was wrinkling my brain trying to work out where on the island and in the dome this treasure repository was meant to start. Failing to effectively illustrate what I was picturing, I searched for a free online 3d modelling software and threw together this blocky thing:
Which I can rotate to visualise all the structures and layers inside the dome at once.
It's obviously not to scale, and you can only get so circular and so intricate in a basic program like the one I used, but it gets the basic layout across well enough, I think. The pale blue represents structures like the two castles and the buildings that branch out from them like fingers on Oda's overhead maps. The structures marked "rooftop access" on top of the main castle are on the roof, above the top of the dome. There's space to move around under Rightbrain Castle and presumably the rest of the Performance Floor, which makes sense, because that area is level with B2 on Oda's cross section castle maps. I think it's weird that the "B1" level of the main castle is aboveground as far as the Performance Floor is concerned, but blame Oda for that, not me.
It's interesting to see how high up the left and right brain castles are above sea level already, considering they're meant to connect to the guard post and the brothel on the outside of the dome. But Oda is one step ahead, showing a lot of stairs and uphill paths around the port as the different groups split off to infiltrate and circle the dome:
The further around the back you travel, the higher you climb through the rocky landscape.
Now, let's look at the back of the 3d model:
Remember, this cuts off the outside of the dome entirely.
Onigashima has to have been built on a steep incline for the ground under the Treasure Repository to start so high above sea level. It could maybe explain the weird placement of the main castle's basement levels though, if those areas really were excavated so the castle could be built. And it's not just my conjecture that the structure here starts high up - look at the steep stairs the Scabbards have to climb when they enter through the back doors:
The Treasure Repository is inside the dome, right behind the gate we see at the top of the stairs here. We get glimpses of the interior courtyard Ashura will fall into while stopping the fake Oden through the open gates during and after the Kanjuro fight, though some of the architecture isn't consistent between that scene and the more recent ones.
Note the lower passage in the bottom left, which presumably cuts through the bedrock and goes into the lower levels of the castle. We can assume this is the path Kanjuro took when he arrived with Momonosuke.
Here's a side view of my visualisation, for maximum clarity:
Oh, and it should be noted that Oda's infoboxes only sometimes refer to the Treasure Repository like it's a separate structure to the main castle. Orochi is said to be lighting fires "inside the castle" but given that the Scabbards met him before leaving the Repository (as stated in the latest chapter), we can assume he's in the back part still. Similarly, Jack and Inu's fight is taking place in the repository as well, but most current "who's where" charts like the one on the first page of the chapter thread don't make that distinction. In fact, given that the repository's floors are counted differently to the main castle's, we'll have to careful not to place these characters on the wrong level in the future.
I hope this helps people get their heads around where everything and everyone is a little better. If this is something people like I might do a version that shows landmarks from the manga, or illustrates where everyone is by my reckoning. But for now, I've stayed up way too late putting this together and need to get some sleep. I'll respond to comments and feedback when I can tomorrow.

Thanks Captain M. That's one hell of head clearer.
Skull Dome layout has been bothering me for eons as well. I had a good idea of every location since I like studying those things, but not exactly to the level of knowing the more minuscule details like the exact floor of the Treasure Repository.

No worries! It certainly took some working out.
I'm almost frustrated that after making a map the locations of everyone and everything are so consistent. Oda's really been on top of his continuity for this one, but he's done such a poor job of communicating the layout to readers that most people just aren't in a position to appreciate it.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I made a version with character locations!
The characters I've marked "last seen" are ones I think have been offscreen long enough (or noticeably enough) to have moved significantly by the next time we see them.
Jinbe and Who's Who's location is probably the one I'm least certain of. Evidence suggests Luffy used the roof access on the leftbrain side (in this case, the far right; the left and right brain labels are based on the skull's orientation, not the map's) after taking the minks' shortcut to avoid meeting Poker and Mizerka in the central tower, but without anything more specific than that, the cat cafe could be anywhere between the centre and the leftbrain edge of the fourth floor.
Odaboxes tell us that CP0 are staying the castle, and I think the exterior establishing shots before their scenes places them in the leftbrain/right side tower, but there's no evidence to say what floor. It makes sense they'd hold up there though, given what an extreme focal point the rightbrain/left side has become.
Kanjuro's location is unknown and he could be basically anywhere after being initially cut down outside the treasure repository at the rear of the dome. He's had enough time to get anywhere he wants to be, and all we really know is that he's heading toward where Momo is.
After being driven off the roof, the mink army has picked itself back up and scattered into the fight. Minks have been seen as far down as the second floor, and as far away as the treasure repository. They could pop up basically anywhere.
Similarly, the gifters tamed by Tama as she moved through rightbrain castle and B1 of the main castle have scattered unpredictably into the fray, being seen as far up as the third floor of the castle.
Initially I wanted to add more things like the fallen Numbers and Oniwabanshu and the last known locations of the bit part Gifters who attacked Luffy's group on the way to the roof, but it was just getting way too cluttered, and I don't see them mattering much in the future anyway.

I wonder how will inuarashi pull out against a hybrid Jack
-
So no one's in the right building of the castle?
Might be that the CP-0 is in there, since they been chilling so calmly.
It also makes more sense that Hiyori is the one person that healed the Scabbards, its obvious that she visited the place several times as Komurasaki an has a certain notion of the whole place, so she knows where to hide.

CP0 on the right is definitely my guess. Jinbe could be close to them though, depending on what floor they're on.
I like your point about Hyori. Even Kanjuro, operating on Kaido/Orochi's side had trouble finding his way around. If it was Toki, and she's literally just dropped out of a time warp with the castle barely having been built last time she was around, she'd have no hope of getting where she wants to go. Even us readers, with our omniscient perspective, are getting lost in the damn place.
-
No worries! It certainly took some working out.
I'm almost frustrated that after making a map the locations of everyone and everything are so consistent. Oda's really been on top of his continuity for this one, but he's done such a poor job of communicating the layout to readers that most people just aren't in a position to appreciate it.

I made a version with character locations!
https://i.imgur.com/9XwK4zh.pngThe characters I've marked "last seen" are ones I think have been offscreen long enough (or noticeably enough) to have moved significantly by the next time we see them.

But weren't the Samurai supposed to be in the 3rd Floor instead of the 2nd? At least considering that they were in a passage in the 3rd Floor?

Oops, I think you're right. They're heading down in that area, but they're not there yet. I also totally forgot about Kid somehow.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Actually no, I was right. Sanji is shown to have already reached floor 2 before he crosses paths with Kawamatsu and Izo. I don't think it's a stretch to assume the rest of them have made it down there as well. But I did still forget Kid.

I also would like to know where the 5 remaining Numbers are.
I recall Apoo knocked a door somewhere saying 'I'll bring more Numbers'.

I finally caught up and read this entire arc to Chapter 1012 last night! (Took me a few days, as I was binge-reading.)
My thoughts about the arc:
-
As a whole I felt like the arc is pretty solid. Though I like Act II and III better than one, I'm guessing this is because Act I didn't have much coverage of the most of the Strawhats. Act III reminds me a lot of the Paramount War for some reason, but that's a good thing.
-
I'm happy about trans representation with the form of Okiku! (I'm transgender male to female.) Though I don't see Yamato as trans because to me she is just being huge fan of Oden. (Like a fangirl in other words.)
-
Speaking of Yamato, I really like her as a character! I hope for her to join the crew! She has a great personality and can't wait to learn more about her in the next coming chapters.
-
I'm so happy that Jimbei is finally back and officially a Strawhat! The chapter he appeared in and the one after were pretty epic moments for me regarding the return of Jimbei.
-
I spoiled myself about Kanjuro before I actually saw it in action, but still it's surprising how much he pretended to be an ally to the samurai. Like I try to think of Oda leaving any hints on who the traitor was, yet I think there wasn't much any.
-
A fun moment was when Kinemon misread the symbol for the wrong harbor, so him misreading and having good luck actually saved the raid on Kaido! I liked the reactions in that chapter honestly.
-
I don't like Orochi. He's much of a scumbag, I hope he's dead for reals this time.
-
The death of Yasuie was sad… I'm just like T_T when I read that chapter, I almost broke into tears as it was that touching to me.
-
The truth of the smile devil fruits... was very disheartening and a bit dark. Honestly, I was not expecting that at all.
-
Lastly, it seems Kaido managed to get like all of the devil fruit users that are the dinosaur Zoan type for his crew minus Drake. He must really like them dinos 0.0

I suspect Oda went back and forth as to how much he should have hinted at it, so as to avoid making it too obvious or too unfounded. He appeared to settle with having Kanjuro be mostly withdrawn and speak when only necessary along with a few hints, with perhaps the most obvious it ever got was when some peculiar-looking birds were flying above Kin’emon and the others after they landed in the future.

Ooo, I never noticed the birds when they first arrived from the future. But yeah, it was not obvious at all, so I think Oda did a good job with it honestly.

And he still added a layer of shock to it all by having it turn out that Kanjuro honestly would have been fine with getting boiled to death since that would have been a gloriously flashy way for him to go have gone out as an actor.
It also turns out that Inu and Neko were wrong here, since it turns out Raizo wasn’t safe since they had unknowingly just given his position away to the traitor:

It just ocurred to me that Kaido might actually dies as he wishes to, but not in this arc.
Luffy simply won't kill him, Law's questionable, Kidd probably would but not as epic as Kaido wants to.
So maaybe, the WG has built another facility for the next time they capture Kaido, he's definitely already been to several other facilities, PH being one of them, since that would explain how he knows about the Numbers.
He's definitely never visited Impel Down, its been stated only Shiki had escaped from there in the past, and Impel Down is not equiped with the needed technology they require to study Kaido.
They'll take him to some kind of ultra Guantanamo/SuperMax prision from which he won't escape that easily.
The CP-0 was never going to participate in the conflict anyways, it'll be good enough if their presence is justified by arresting Kaido.
-
With Ch. 1,013, I'm starting to ponder if Onigashima actually will be dropped on the Flower Capital. Granted, I am positive everyone would evacuate on time, because Oda, but I think it might happen because it was reaping all the benefits from the other region's suffering, whether the citizens wanted it or not, they still gained from it, so with it destroyed, it's kind of like Wano is starting with a clean slate, of everyone having to endure Kaido's tyranny and moving on from it.
Does that make sense to anyone else?
-
Yeah, I think it's likely both the flower capital and Onigashima will be destroyed one way or another, because breaking everything down and starting from a clean slate is kind of a theme in One Piece.
-
Basically what I've been hoping for since Onigashima took to the skies. Not sure how to incorporate Momo helping with his dragon powers, but maybe he can float a chunk of it down safely with his allies. Or somehow cushion most of the alliance. Momo saving people instead of deserted buildings would be pretty impactful.

How does the "saving" happen? Does someone pick Luffy up mid air and take him back to Kaido? Whatever happen, Luffy needs time and another strategy.
So, picking him up mid air and returning him doesn't add up. Someone will have to keep Kaido busy. I believe that is up to Kaido conveniently not caring to go back to the chaos below him or Yamato (or whoever) entertaining him.
Luffy either drops to some locals or convenient visitors. Oda was creative with how he got Luffy to the water and shadows for Croc and Moria. I don't know if he just needs to strategize or obtain something, but I know he needs someone to buy him time by keeping Kaido busy. Taking the KO'd Luffy directly back to Kaido would be for nothing.
-
Luffy could even save himself at the end.
If he gains consciousness and can use G4 already, then he can fly back by himself.
-
Indeed, I think we maybe shouldn't be putting this much stock in a cliffhanger that's there basically for the sake of a cliffhanger. Like, it has nothing to do with the rest of the chapter or anything. If Oda wanted Luffy to lose, I doubt it'd happen offscreen. This is here so people have something to talk during this break week, just like that fake Oden.
Wouldn't be the first time Luffy looks really bad at the end of chapter but then he's just fine in the next one (Remember when Katakuri took out a chunk of his torso?). Hell, wouldn't even be the first time he gets knocked out and comes back shortly after in this same fight.
-
If Luffy is conscious Kaido would be able to hear his "voice". I think Oda wants Kaido to think Luffy is dead so he can be all the more surprised and pissed when Luffy comes back later.
-
Something I haven't seen talked about is how colorful everyone's hair is in Wano. Wano is an earlier era of Japan and matches in a lot of aspects like the level of technology compared to the rest of the world, but I don't think we've ever had this variety of hair colors in a single arc before.
Now that I think about it, I don't actually know when hair dye was invented. Maybe I just always assumed it was a modern invention because you wouldn't see many hair colors in black and white photos. Alternatively, maybe all those colors are natural in the One Piece verse.
-
I just remembered something. Where is Caribou? Last I recall he was at the prison. I'm thinking of him just cause having him appear now would potentially be bad if he still has any intention of killing Luffy.

Caribou knows about the battle and helped set things up in Udon. He also made a deal with Luffy so that he would leave Wano with the Straw Hats. I feel he will appear when we least expect.
