Definitely one of the better chapters we've had in awhile all thanks to the BB pirates chilling with Kuzan. It's so much more compelling to see him as a broken man, too much pride to return to the marines and too much self respect to join up with criminals. It's just... the twist of fate that Teach was the only man to approach him in these times with the right words. Suck it up and rejoin the marines? Just like with Ace, Garp has never had a clue how to really help people. He's all fists, no brains.
I don't want to see a big betrayal move anymore. It'd be boring to see and Teach would have to counter him immediately and take him out. Kuzan's living for himself now and this is way better than the long expected future for this character. It's time for ride or die, Kuzan!
Seeing the Blackbeards just screwing around with food and drink, having a good time with Kuzan, is all definitely going in my top BB Pirates moment ever. We were stuck with Kaido's crew for way too long. Their partying was so over the top, it never really feels like we saw them in "casual" mode. I missed this.
Compared to when we left off, it looks like Law must've been trying to escape. We don't see anyone but Bepo and him on land, so it feels fair to assume Law managed to move all his crew back to the ship as a last ditch attempt to escape (with Bepo-sulong being their own plan), but alas, Teach got them with one last quake strike. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned back when the fight started that the sub couldn't take much more. I'm not sure if I really expect the rest of his crew to be captured or not. Teach doesn't really have the crew members around to fish them out of the water, and some of them are really good in the water, so I could see them escaping too.
Between heading for Egghead or Elbaf by chance, back to Wano, or Zou, I think I'm gonna side with guessing Zou is Bepo's destination. Law did always have the vivre card for it.
If we assume Teach got the Poneglyph rubbings (not exactly guaranteed), he has at least Zou and Wano's now. I would assume Oda will say Kuzan and Auger also picked up Linlin's when they kidnapped Pudding, cause I don't really see the point in making BB go back there again to destroy it. If both of those are true, Teach has quickly caught up to Luffy on the poneglyph race and the burning man is the final target. Shanks should still need Zou though.
As much as we've been away, I'd like 1 more chapter of Garp before going back. I want to see Kuzan recover as well as Pizarro, Sanjuan, Vasco, and Shiryu show off a bit and put them on the defensive. We also really need to see Moria and Perona one more time...
We've been away long enough that I'm thinking we'll cut back to egghead already fast-forwarded a bit. Snake will have already stoned a few more strawhats, the BB ship will be nearing the port, and Luffy and Lucci will probably be about ready to finally solve the puzzle to stopping a Seraphim.
