This whole traitor plot has definitely made Egghead more enjoyable to me than when we thought it might just be lore and only lore. Fun chapter and loving things.
I will say, it feels kinda wrong that the cover skipped over showing past-Bakkins mooching off MADS, but now it feels like we're about wrapped up here. Maybe another page showing where they went from here or a page showing all the siblings together, but otherwise this feels about the end.
I feel like Sentomaru's gonna stick around to go "Down with the ship" so to speak and confront Kizaru when he arrives, now that he knows he's actually coming. We'll see if the unimportant citizens actually make it out and if they pick the right direction to go so they don't just get sunk at sea. It'd be a good Ohara callback if the first sign of the attack is the sinking of the citizen's ship. Might as well use them for something dramatic like that, since they really haven't been shown much.
The crushing of Pythagoras seems much more definitive an end, which seems to me like we can finally feel like the Punks are actually getting eliminated. Shaka might really be dead too, but I'll give that a little more time. There's definitely no reason why Lilith shouldn't get smashed next chapter, as there's nobody around to delay Snake anymore, and Hawk should probably be able to make it to Edison before Zoro and Kaku can stop it. Maybe while York is explaining herself, we'll see a little montage of them getting finished off. That would just leave it down to a chase to catch Atlas.
Looks like both Robin group and Jinbe/Stussy are using the boots to try and move faster. Maybe we actually will see the boot restraints get activated again to further limit who's actually active. I could see Zoro threatening to cut his feet off again...
Brook going spirit should mean he gets overlooked when something really bad happens to Sanji/Nami/Edison and then when things look like they're at their worst, good old MVP Brook will be back again to save the day.
York the greedy wants to join the greediest, laziest, awful people of the one piece world.... yup, makes sense to me. I'm glad at least 1 of the punks is crying foul on the decision to abandon their good thing in the world just for the sake of researching some ancient history some more. The void century is all in the past and the spirit of the Vegapunks is making the future! Just leave the past alone and move on, amirite? Leave it to the nutty criminals that don't have much to lose, like Robin, who I'm sure will have a lot to say if York makes an argument like this.
Anyway, I look forward to whatever York's reasoning will be and what comes next. We should hopefully get another chapter of context and developments before we finally fully dive into Bonney going through the memories. Bonney might return to join Brook as one of the only people left active to change the tides.
