One Piece will have Jump cover and Color Spread on issue #21-22/2021, on sale 26th April in Japan. After that issue there will be 1 week break for Golden Week holidays in Japan, so next Jump issue (#23/2021) will be on sale 10th May.
So it's probable that we will have the 7th japanese Character Popularity Poll results on issue #21-22/2021, with a special Color Spread with the winners (like we had in the past).
Resuts of Global Character Popularity Poll will be published next 5th of May, so I think Shueisha will show japanese results first. In any case, this information is not 100% confirmed yet. We will have a confirmation next week.
So 1010 on the 12th of April.
Break after that 19th of April.
1011 with poll results 26th of April.
Break after that 3rd of May.
1012 on 10th of May.
So the poll results would be great to have in between two breaks.
Something tells me the popularity poll results will come with the live action casting announcement.
If that colorspread was gonna have the popularity poll results, they probably would have announced alongside it. So I'd say the video will be the the global reveal. Since it is a global poll, they probably wanna announce the final results globally, just like the mid-terms.

For now, Issue 21-22 (on sale 26th April) will announce the ranks from 151 ~ 200.
Oh, so it's gonna be like a countdown lasting two weeks.
Seems like it will go on for a month
april 26 to may 5 is a period of 9 days
april 26 to may 5 is a period of 9 days
Ok was just confused because of…
ranks from 151 ~ 200.
Can't wait to see the colorspread.
I wonder if it will have the Top 10 characters (like 5th Poll, in chapter 771), Luffy + Top 20 non-Straw Hats (like 6th Poll, in chapter 874), or some new rule to define which characters will be in it.
Only thing important is if Sanji maintains numero 3 and Zoro will take the numero 1 spot, which he would deserve in my eyes
I feel the results will be close to the overall mid-term rankings, slightly shifted towards Japan's mid-term results.
I think a lot of the "Hot 3" rankings from February were deeply affected by invalid votes.

Probably depends on if potential/actual strawhats make that ranking again and Oda doesn't want to include the crew. It was kind of a dead giveaway on Jinbe last time.

At that point in time Jinbe had already formally abandoned BM and declared his intention to join the Straw Hats in WCI, so I feel Oda was confident that leaving him out of the spread wasn't really a "spoiler" but a confirmation. I don't think he'd do it the same with Yamato, Carrot or Hancock this time because they haven't really anything simillar in-story yet.
Damn, that's sad for Momo.
How are people like Krieg a part if this ? Guy hasn't been relevant to the story for almost 20 years
And what is "Straw Hat (humanized)" ? I recognize most names even if I don't always remember the attached character, but this one… ?
(also, thanks for translating)
I mean, if you try to just list 200 OP characters off the top of your head, I feel Krieg would probably be included. It's not that select of a group.

In volume 97's SBS, Oda drew what Luffy's Straw Hat would look like if it was a human.
Poor Bege sitting at 158
Who is Bart by the way, Jean Bart?

Admittedly he is memorable. But voters were only ever supposed to pick 3 and he definitely isn't in even my top 10, so either Krieg landed here as a result of joke votes or he made a lasting impression on a notable portion of the readership. I'd be curious to see vote counts after a worldwide poll, whether the 150+ ranks have like 5 votes each or they number in hundreds.
And thanks Megadoomer, I had completely missed that personified hat

What do you mean voters were only supposed to pick 3? I don't remember seeing that in the rules at all.
Ranks from 151 ~ 200

Are the eleven characters depicted on top confirmed as the Top 11, or is JUMP just teasing the likely winners?
Also, I wonder why 11, and not 10…
Sengoku 167 is sad

Oh…That's a complete brainfart on my end. We only ever voted for one character at a time, didn't we ? Forget I said anything, I'll shut up for now and wait for complete results with numbered votes.
How are people like Krieg a part if this ? Guy hasn't been relevant to the story for almost 20 years
He was one of the most prominent characters in the One Piece chapter 1000 hommage, that alone could have been enough to push him into the top 200 (as sengoku noted, it's not the most exclusive group anyway).
He's a great character, just a bit hard to remember after 20+ years.
Bege being so low saddens me. I think he was the only Supernova I voted for lol

They‘re the Global Top 11 from the mid-term results. Would be kinda dumb to confirm 1-11 and 151-200 at the same time while leaving out the rest, but those eleven are sure to remain somewhere up there
Bege being so low saddens me. I think he was the only Supernova I voted for lol
The two best Supernovae are in this batch and they're behind friggin Thatch. Looking at the lower rankings in these always is pain.
Poor Jack is not even the most popular elephant in his crew.
Will we get the individual region results as well?
I'm just interested in Japan, honestly.
I didn't knew they revealed Ms.Goldenweek's true name.
Apoo and capone that low? I guess people don't like the fun supernovas, just the generic, boring badass ones.

Pearl is also not very far behind, so I'm assuming there's a small dedicated Krieg Pirates fan club out there.
Cricket made it to top 200. I’m happy about that.
I’m glad Yasuie is as high as he is. Didn’t really know how people really felt about his character. He was the third on screen good guy prominent death in the present day after all.
Who the hell is Spencer? (Googles…) why the hell is he so high on the list? Why is he on the list?
People are not liking Kanjuro. I guess Top 200 is good, but still…
Momo’s ranking is sadder given his prominence in the story.
Their rankings wouldn’t be so bad if minor characters weren’t more popular than them.
Gyro’s a troll vote right? No way he’s truly popular? Even if he is a troll vote, it’s an impressive rank for troll voting. That said, I’m curious how other troll characters might have done given someone like Gyro wasn’t even on the Hot List radar.
Will we get the individual region results as well?

Most likely in the site, after the results are all announced.
Oooof poor Capone, he deserved better. I voted for him a bunch!
One of the most important characters of the past 10 years of stories is ranked a flop by fans.
Not great.
Who the hell is Spencer? (Googles…) why the hell is he so high on the list? Why is he on the list?
Historically it only took one or two votes to make ranks. Kaya one year had 7 votes and she was 78th place, and that same year Whitebeard had 11 votes and he was 69th place. (that was right before the war, when he still hadn't done anything yet. He placed 26th the next time around.) Everyone ranked 93 or lower had 4 or less votes.
The more recent polls don't give numbers below the top 20, but I imagine its much the same.
Obviously it'll be different this time because of online and worldwide voting with daily options, but it probably doesn't take a lot just to rank, especially when actual favorites carry a ton of votes. I probably could have single handedly gotten Impel Down wolves to qualify if I'd really felt like it.,
No idea what the vote totals are going to be this year but one person voting for one character daily and conistently would probably be enough to get them on the list.

Not great.
I assume your referring to Momo? I think between his perv factor, and his most recent showing of being an utterly pathetic beat up mess, and a useless crybaby in general, that's pretty understandable. Polling took place while he was at his lowest and most pathetic point.
In a couple months he's going to do some cool stuff and turn his arc around, but that'll obviously be too late for this polling.
But this alone is probably responsible for a lot of dislike.
The fact that Yamato is with the big ten over there fills me with joy.

Not great.
He also made a potential new strawhat break top twenty, maybe top ten so that's pretty great.
Poor Jack only Kaido likes you.
I dunno, I feel like the most popular Wano character by far being the one that just got introduced doesn't speak too well of the arc in general.

That's defnitely why I dislike him. The perv thing was bad enough, but it demeaned Nami and Robin's characters by falling for his transparent schemes constantly. He also suffers the most from the longform story arc because in a smaller span of time he would've gone through the character development quicker (I think Aisa is the best comparison here, who started off as bratty but very quickly came into her own).
@TLC:
He also made a potential new strawhat break top twenty, maybe top ten so that's pretty great.
Right, Momo is the only Wano character I don't care for after Kinemon stopped being annoying. I hope Yamato throws him off Onigashimi posthaste so I can enjoy his scenes without the brat always being there.
I think I like Wano more than most people here, but Momo kinda personifies the major flaw that we don't really care about the people of Wano.

That's a weird argument to make when said popular character is being pushed in a specific way that makes the majority of the fandom believe they'll be the next Strawhat. So of course they'll rank higher than everyone else, including much older characters.
In any case, I'm glad Toad Boingnosuke made it in.

Touché. But I was talking less about Yamato being popular and more the rest not doing so hot. We'll see if Kin'nemon and the others have improved their standing from the mid-terms. And I also forgot Oden did fairly well. So I guess in that sense Oda is succeeding making people like the characters he really wants them to like. Except for Momo I guess.
