No, he is not. He is much as a God than a Celestial Dragon is.
@S.C.:
Indeed, he is fully mortal and not a God or the God.
Thanks for the help guys :)
Once again I want to apologize if I bothred you or annoyed you in any way.

Well maybe then for 890 they'll stretch the part with Marco and Nekomamushi for an entire episode + flashbacks perhaps
And then 891 is the second half of the Seppuku chapter being used as a sort of setup for Wano and then 892 as the official start with the Strawhats arriving on the island.Just a prediction tho.
Edit: Nevermind :) thanks for the titles!

Keep in mind we might still get filler at the end of July/beginning of August to coincide with Stampede, I hope we do even if it does interupt the start of Wano.
-
Is ep 891 on June 30 or will there be a break? By the way yes i think we will get some fillers at the end of July and start of August. Probably 3-4 episodes.

Summary for Nagamine Interview ! Thanks to KaidoBoby for Translation !
In Wano arc, there’ll be all kinds of characters but each with a clear role of their own. The cast themselves will present the characters with their unique dialogues to show the characters’ strength and how they’re different from others.
The composer Tanaka Kohei have introduced Japanese instruments for the music of Wano Country arc. They believe the interactions between characters are one of the things readers enjoy in OP, and Wano arc(with a lot of elements from yakuza movies) is very detailed in that field.
The highlight of the action scene will be the battle between Luffy and Kaido, near the climax of act 1. For Luffy, the battle with Kaido will be the reason he strengthens his Haki.
We’ve reached the climax of the series(up to now), this arc even holds great meaning for the series as a whole, bringing all the foreshadowings from the beginning of NW together. To animate this arc, we’ve further strengthen our staff, so please look forward to it.
Not really sure why this wasn't posted here…
-
Kohei Tanaka introducing new music with traditional Japanese instruments was a no-brainer. That alone will make the anime stand above the manga during this arc.

With the filter, definitely I would say…
I wonder if 891 will have the post processing, or if it will only apply to episode 892 onwards.

If the guy's name is Cider I'm thinking it's more like carbonation than the mineral.

There, now people can shut up about bounty hunters for a while.
-
is the One Piece anime hand drawn or computer animated? also how long does it take to make one episode and how many people are involved?
-
They couldn't have done the filler episodes before Wano started?
Considering this has been a big relaunch for the anime, they probably wanted to garner some interest and bring in (or back) some viewers before going into the obligatory movie tie-in filler.
-
Still, pretty terrible timing. If those are as terrible as those movie tie-ins usually are, it can damper at least a little bit the audience's excitement with the beginning of a new arc (and era for the anime).
-
I'm hoping at least the movie filler is bearable, and hope the new filters and aesthetic apply to them at least. Would create some real dissonance if they suddenly didn't use the new aesthetic after just introducing it.
-
Can't wait to see the other SH breaks.
Both Luffy and Zoro were awesome
-
Killua and Ray from Yakusoku's voice actor. Will pay attention to see how this works

I wonder if doing filler episodes does really help to promote the movie. Wouldnt be a better promotion to actually show some badass manga content?
-
Hi, I've got a question for the anime enthusiasts here. Are there any "infamously" poorly produced episodes? The ones that have pretty much every negative stereotype that's associated with the series's adaptation? The "Dragonball Super Episode 5's," so to speak.
-
Episode 307 is the one that immediately comes to my mind whenever this question is asked. Despite having the inhumanly-talented Hironori Tanaka as the top-credited animator it looked like complete dogshit from start to finish from what I remember. Plus it didn't even have the excuse of being outsourced from what I can see! I can name a few other stinkers off the top of my head, but that one will always stand out to me.
Even worse is the fact that that was the one and only time Hironori Tanaka ever worked on that anime (he did at least do major scenes in Movies 8 and 9 though).
-
302 is pretty horrific as well. I would recommend asking someone like Skippy(his doing an OP rewatch, so he'll probably have a few episodes that come to mind). Oh yeah, 697 was also pretty terrible despite having an almost all star team of animators on it.
-
697 is one of, if not the, worst episodes we've had in the entire run, IMO. Awful production values, pacing, directing, and completely butchered what was intended to be a major moment - it had it all.

On paper something like 697 should have been pretty solid, you had Katsumi Ishizuka, Shuuchi Ito and even Takashi freaking Kojima on it, but it just ended up being one of the most horrifically underwhelming episodes the show had ever seen.
-
I still think they should do a OP Kai in the future…
Hear me out... While it's still a bit too early to say to 100 % current Wano episodes look like 10000x better than most of the episodes we have seen over a decade... and I really hope it will stay like this.
Now to my idea inspired by DB Kai... Overseas and especially in US the anime was fucked up beyond repair which a lot pf people turned off from OP.
So what if they make an OP Kai anime with the current style skipping all the filler and stuff to retell the anime and catch up soon?
Maybe this would bring some love back to the anime and new fans to the series in US... I know it would take a lot of money but maybe the benefit at the end would be higher

This post is deleted!

A lot of people who don’t like OP don’t like the style of it (too silly) and that’s not gonna change with a new anime adaptation unless they completely change Oda’s art-style and love of silliness. That’d be a bad goal to have, people in America are typically shallow.
Also, the current anime is still running - they’re not gonna make another one until the main one ends. And if they do make one, it’ll most like be exactly like DB Kai and they’ll just reuse old footage.
Well I agree but still the current style is not even close of being as goofy as in the past.
