The contrarian AP opinion strikes again. As a long time fan, I can’t imagine a more perfect adaptation than this. The episode had me smiling and laughing out loud throughout! Looking at the replies here, I’m honestly shocked to see the tepid praise and palpable disappointment mixed with a twinge of condescending criticism.

Really — what would y’all have done better? The sound effects were so fun… and Weilin Zhang’s cut was beautiful. It feels like we all watched something different!

Yeah I agree with everything said here. I LOVED this episode. I really dont get why people go WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA FLASHBACKS or whatever. There are coming with the territory, they are never leaving. Deal with it. But thankfully thanks to all this complaints I loved the episode even more. When people unanimously love things I am usually the one contrarian who doesnt and that's never fun.

NEW MARIO AND LUIGI RPG. That goodness the demise of Alpha Dream wasnt the end for the series.

One Piece is back on the top streaming shows list AWESOME BABY!

For some reason this episode almost reminded me of a Megumi Ishitani episode. Like this is a 4 out of 4 stars and Megumi is 5 outta 4 she utterly breaks the scale. But both are amazing. I cant believe having faith that the anime would improve would pay off so much.

Hugs Nitwit Things are so bleak right now... but I still think we will get better.

I am growing tired and wary of the "One Piece is DBZ now!" ESPECIALLY since these sort of fighting IS NOWHERE to be found in DBZ. In fact the animation and fighting style is VERY unique to One Piece now.

Dont worry, they just provided funding incentives so Funimation felt motivated to finish the dub. They didnt do a 1984.

I have to say it, That I'm enjoying Splash Star alot more then I expected. Its probably the same reason why I enjoyed both Go Princess and Kira Kira. Since both of those seasons did character development to the side characters as well the Precure at the same time.

Splash Star is pretty much the first season and its sequel BUT BETTER. Much better, the earlier episodes arent quite as attractive but the season very much gets MUCH better as it goes on.

Those episodes are absolute peak Precure. Splash Star definitely is a standout season.

I gotta hand to to Funimation/Crunchyroll, One Piece has always been treated extremely well by them. Their dubbing work for One Piece has always been great.

I stand by it, other than some shoddy work by Joel's directing, One Piece's dubbing and releases have been great. Especially when compared to Dragon Ball and everything that went SO FUCKING WRONG in that franchise.

Not to mention not dropping it when it seemed like it would be a middling hit at best, sure they probably did consider doing so (The infamous hiatus where it indeed looked like they would) and Toei and the Japanese gov had to step in, but the way they treat One Piece is great-

Now this is how to do deaths Oda, none of that "Oh and these characters totally died" like in the end of Wano.

I hope its not Doki Doki that one was terrible, the only upside would be showing Toei REALLY DOES OWN every single season again.

I think a great choice to bring over would be Heartcatch. THAT WAS THE bees knees back when it premiered and got a lot of people into the franchise.
