There is not bangable beauty too y'know.

I pointed out earlier that its Nami's body but Otohime's face.
No, the head is all-Otohime, but body is more sexy like Nami.
That depends on one's tastes. And if one bases hotness on a lovely face or just how curvy the body is. Otohime had a petite body, not at all curvy, but many would say she had a very lovely face.
Since others are making their opinions known on Shirahoshi or Hancock. I always preferred Shirahoshi.
Hancock was sexy, but her face has never strike me as the most beautiful. Pretty, yes, but not the most beautiful. … it doesn't help that her big forehead used to always make me think of Sakura from Naruto:blink:
I base hotness on sex appeal, not really on curvy bodies and big boobs (even if those helps sometimes). It depends on interactions.
Lovely to me is often the opposite of hot.
In any cases, who cares?
I gotta say, Shirahoshi being awestruck and happy makes her extremely likeable. I guess it was really only the crying that made her annoying.
Maybe just a bad translation on Mangastream's part, but the whole "I haven't eaten in 3 years cause there hasn't been a babe around to feed me" doesn't sound great.
I personally don't really mind, it's just a character.
However, the same people who were enraged by Franky and Pink's manly battle won't like this trajectory one bit.
JB's translation is more like it. Quite picturing his liking for young girls without going too far making it as a reason (eating is just not his thing lol).
We just found out Sterry became king because of the previous kings suspicious death. That King who was part of an unfinished flashback from the main characters home island.
I know you want a big argument win but we are going to find out more about Goa, that King and why the Celestial Dragons visited the land personally.
Chill, i too am still considering a twist.:getlost:

Oh you must have read my statements like this…
We just found out Sterry became king because of the previous kings SUSPICIOUS death! That King who was part of an unfinished flashback from the main characters home island?!
I know you want a big argument win but we are going to find out more about Goa, that King and why the Celestial Dragons visited the land personally. GOD!
That's me, Ragin' Cajun Romance.

Lol well at least Hancock has legs. #men
Also Shirahoshi is kinda childish. Just MHO.
I wonder if Pacifisatas can have different devil fruits now, other than the laser or no laser.
Waiting for some Dragon action:wub:
@uniaka:
So how did dragon and ivankov go undercover? If dragon does have the wind logia or some weather logia it could be easy, ivankov with his huge head and small body likely can't fit in one of those armors.
That's not a problem at all when taking his Devil Fruit power into account.
Fujitora mentioned he came from far away where he visited Vegapunk. Probably that means we won't see him in this arc? Unless Vegapunk brought some of his inventions with him to strenghthen Fujitora's plan of ending the warlords. Could be that he perfected the transformation of humans into cyborgs and they will transform any warlord into a pacifista-like obedient robot?
What's with Sabo and the crows??
Does wherever Sabo go, Karasu go with him?
Or Karasu's crows have long distance range
Tremendous world building in this chapter, this is the kind of stuff that really makes One Piece head and shoulders above other series.
Not really looking forward to the backlash concerning Green Bull though, misogynistic overtones are never a good sign.
n-n- nani?? Who's gonna backlash at a couple doing what couples do??

never underestimate the possibility for a my culture is not your insert offensive thing.
my japanese manga culture is not your internet forum!!
At first I was getting Kizaru vibes from Ryokugyu, but then I realized he's a lot like Kuzan, just more extreme. I bet Sakazuki was so looking forward to finding some icons of strength that would work tirelessly to uphold Justice at the World Military Draft, only for the strong candidates to be a compulsive rule-breaker and a guy who makes Kuzan look like Sakazuki himself in terms of work ethic.
Is it confirmed that Green Bull is male anyway?
So the crows are the crow guy, the giant in the red line is the clay guy, sabo is obviously there, perhaps Dragon is the wind we see in the chapter?
EDIT: Probably is, would follow the pattern of Sterry noticing everyone. He literally goes 'Oh the wind is so strong!' - clear foreshadowing.
Oh an Morgans being in love with the princess was great. Who knew the birdman would be into scales? (Morgans is a scaly confirmed?)
Ivankov wasn't in Kamabakka… how the hell is Ivankov going to infiltrate? He/she doesn't have powers to avoid detection... and if Ivankov goes, shouldn't everyone else go too? I assumed the men went because they can camouflage/take the place of bodyguards without raising suspicion. But Ivankov's gonna have trouble going unnoticed lol
Wait, so was there ever a prince of the Goa Kingdom that wasn't Stelly? I had always figured Stelly just married into the royal family (Outlook III said that was his main goal in the ASL flashback), never thought there might have been an assassination.
Also, I'm not going to comment on gender stuff regarding the Revolutionaries, but Koala probably should have come along. She managed to sneak up on Burgess of all people!
Dare I hope we'll get to see Ryokugyu in this arc?
Well, Revos' infiltration sure increases the odds of that.
And I like the fact Dragon, Ivankov and Inazuma weren't shown on Kamabakka. Dragon actually doing something? Faced with admirals? Yes please!
Guess women were left to make sandwiches for the coming war, though.

Lmao .
Dragon and garp are both there

I had to double take on why Oda drew Orlumbus naked in underwear, only to realize "oh, he's just folding his pajamas"
AHHHHHH!!!! GARP-SAMA!!!!! The last time I remember seeing him was Post-Marineford, nice to know that he hasn't changed. Like grandfather, like grandson.
Ew, Stelly.
@The:
I had to double take on why Oda drew Orlumbus naked in underwear, only to realize "oh, he's just folding his pajamas"
About that, someone on Reddit has a great insight on this week's cover:
Orlumbus was mentioned to be a guy who exaggerates his adventures. It seems clear despite being a decent fighter, he lives a pretty mundane life but at least enjoys it.
Made a very in-depth analysis about the chapter if anyone is interested, pretty sure I covered just about everything: https://thelibraryofohara.com/2018/05/25/chapter-secrets-chapter-905/
Favorite detail of the chapter has probably got to be the fact that Ballywood's men are all seen carrying guns. That and Beer VI doing the cossack dance as he walks, that's simply brilliant
Russian doll princesses was my favorite joke. I was hoping the highest one was the queen. The king should have been Vodka not beer).
So we have Uncle Sam(the hat is pretty clear) name hamburger and coming from Hollywood for the US. Oda really really went full on with this one.
King Tacos needs mariachis for companions or a guitar.
Formal attire doesn't look to well on the mermaid. I do love how it looks on the slimest brother. It feels like Cryoshi boobs are gonna fall out at any moment. I still kind of feel unconfortable how she is sex symbol. I wonder when was their first reverie. Wasn't the papers necessary for that? Maybe that was when they just got included in the group and it was soracist and dismissive they never came back.
Goa kind of lose a lot respect when the most famous from you kingdom escort someone else.
So Neptune is a friend with Garp and Whitebeard? I would have found it interesting that was just friend friend with Whitebeard not Garp. Not everyone from the old times needs to friendly to one another. So Garp just escorted them to the surface and isn't going to the meeting of kings. That makes more sense. I doubt he would want to be part of such boring events.
It is kind of refreshing to see someone's reaction to all those stuff Goa are ignorant of. I mean melting rock with Saliva???…Yep Goa really lacks credibility. Popping bunch of criminals, bad relation to Garp, ignorant of the world around them...So the previous king died suspiciously? I guess he got poisoned by Stelly or his parents.
Old man Vegapunk? So Green Bull is a young man. Also he stop eating one year before being recruited.
Giant holding an harpoon? Crows? I guess everyone of the commanders are here.
About that, someone on Reddit has a great insight on this week's cover:
"Orlumbus was mentioned to be a guy who exaggerates his adventures. It seems clear despite being a decent fighter, he lives a pretty mundane life but at least enjoys it."
Orlumbus, mundane? Someone who wakes up at 6 o'clock in the morning everyday folding his night clothes is no ordinary person. Truly, he is living his life on the edge.
That's nice to know, though.
Goa kind of lose a lot respect when the most famous from you kingdom escort someone else.
Arguably Sabo is just as famous, so they're still being escorted by a very famous person from their kingdom… even if they're unaware of it. Ironic, really
I am seriously hoping for a brazilian themed king casually playing football as he dances samba.
About that, someone on Reddit has a great insight on this week's cover:
I think the point of Oorlumbus' story is showing his new life. We saw him quiting his life as an adventurer on the previous chapter, from now on it is "Oorlumbus, the pirate".
Arguably Sabo is just as famous, so they're still being escorted by a very famous person from their kingdom… even if they're unaware of it. Ironic, really
So the most respectect law enforcement escort someone else and the second worst criminal that want to destroy the goverment is escorting you… It's looking worst and worse for Goa's image.
This chapter had Garp in it so it's automatically one of the best chapters in the series.
But seriously though, this was really good. I'm finally feeling the excitement that people felt during the last two chapters.
I saw in a raw that Mororon's name is actually "Morodon", has anyone else seen a raw for the royals intro page?
About that, someone on Reddit has a great insight on this week's cover:
My take was a bit different. i thought the point of the cover story is going to be to show Orlumbus as a tidy and organized person, that likes everything to be in ship-shape (yeah, pun intended). Sort of fit in with his power to command respect and order enemies to stand in line we saw in Dressrosa.
@uniaka:
So garp is still active vice admiral? Didn't he retire or semi-retire like sengoku?
I just dislike him even more, after what akainu did to ace, he is still like… whatevs, job is job.
He kept the rank to keep help Marine keep face.
Ace was schedule for death and he died. I can understand hating him for not caring for slavery but hating him because he didn't started the marines who killed his pirate grandson seems extreme. He did tried to attack Akainu when it happened.
"Tidy pirate Orlumbus has been sighted"
Garp escorting the Fishmen makes me wonder how much does he know about the Void Century.
Morgans will find out about the kingdoms Luffy helped and is going to fanboy even more.
Stelly usurping the throne through assassination fits his character very well. I just hope he does not mess with the revolutionaries plan.
As expected this Reverie will have an alternative to the Warlord system and it seems it is something Fujitora agrees upon.
I am not sure what the revolutionaries mean by fighting for the sake of Fishmen.
I really enjoyed this chapter, and believe that I'm really going to like this arc as a whole. The world building aspects of One Piece's plot have always been my favorite, and I feel like a large portion of it has been leading up to this arc.
Lots of great new and returning characters this chapter. I like that Oda kept Stelly as the annoying snob that he was as a child. Great to see Garp being Garp. I absolutely love no-longer-fleet-admiral Sengoku, especially how he interacted with Sakazuki in this chapter, I really hope get more of Sengoku. I'm interested in seeing more of Ryokugyu, and more of Issho. I don't have much opinion on the royalties introduced in this chapter, since they haven't really done anything yet.
This is not specifically related to this chapter, but I'm really curious why Oda had the Blackbeard vs Revolutionaries fight occur at all, only to have the revolutionaries reappear in this arc as if it hadn't happened. I know Oda will bring it back in a way that'll make it more significant.
What I like about the cover with Orlumbus is actually the background.
We see maps and globes, books and bottles of alcohol and goblets. To me this seems to give clues to his personality= he enjoys a good drink, has multiple goblets, so likely enjoys having a drink with company. Owning books has usually implied intelligent person in OP= Nami, Robin & Chopper, so I see him as not a stupid or ignorant person. And the map & globes reminds me of his adventurous spirit.
oh yes, I agree, he's tidy. lol its not just folding pajamas, but the entire room … very tidy. Wonder if that will be his personality quirk, that he's a neat-freak?

I can't imagine that anybody will outlazy the bluebird anytime soon.
Not bothering to eat seems more like a Magellan eats poison because he can type deal than pure laziness.

I thought that was more in reference to how lots of the more sheltered nobles have no understanding of the outside world and believe stuff like that and that fishmen are contagious. I seem to recall the people at the slave auction saying similar things. I mean Stelly could be more gullible than average but it seems like a wider spread thing.
Old man Vegapunk? So Green Bull is a young man.
Or Vegapunk is a seriously old man even in relation to the old timey admirals.
I never even mentioned Zatoichi's Fujitora's presence in the chapter. Can't wait to see him fulfill his role of destroying the Shichibukai system.

Also it's easy to forget how your everyday person sees the world in OP when we are following pirates who are traveling to impossible places, crossing every sea and interacting with all kinds of people.
Unless you are in Totto Land, humans are not usually seen living with other races. The only non-human we saw in East Blue were the Arlong Pirates, and, well… The WG also is not very open to other races, aside from a few giants (which are a "recent" addition and still in few numbers) we are yet to see any Marine who isn't human. All in all, Sterry probably shows what is the view of a regular person living in a human country, particularly outside the Grand Line, not just a sheltered prejudiced person.
Great Chapter
Loved the talk between green bull and fujitora. Seeing Fujitora attend as a technicality and Green Bull fasting for 3 years was great.
Also we got a ton of intersting interactions with Shirahoshi's family and Garp. Also Stelly operating as a kiss ass cowardly schemer was quite funny.
That last page with Sabo in disguise really hyped me up, and I like that he probably knows and is acting none the wiser lol.
the library of ohara says that they got what actor ryogyoku is based off, being yoshio harada, playing gen'nai from the roningai movie

And if we remember those long arm guys who wanted to kidnap normal armed humans to sell tickets for long arms to gawk at these strange one-jointed freaks i'd say that lack of knowledge about others swings both ways.
Hilariously, the Revo men do the infiltration while the girls stay at home (supposedly to prepare dinner for the men's glorious return).
Yeah, what's the deal with this? Although I'm pretty sure we're still a day away from the Reverie so they still may make an appearance.
Yeah, what's the deal with this? Although I'm pretty sure we're still a day away from the Reverie so they still may make an appearance.
Yeah, they needed more time to get ready. Working on their make up, choosing outfits, doing nails, picking accessories…
Those Russian, American and Mexican depictions are funny but feels like more like a straightforward parody than something inspired that fits in One Piece. Someone with too much time will find them offensive.
Pretty sure if you put in a western media they would be offensive. I find them funny but there's nothing strange in finding them offensive.
The only aspect of the kings and queens that I find offensive is how totally forgettable they and their countries are. It's odd to see these ostensibly important but ultimately fodder characters. It also seems weird to go for such low hanging fruit creatively when they've been making this story for decades. I had similar feelings about the coliseum character dump. The story calls for this huge collection of leaders and countries so Oda and crew seemingly pull some one-note guy out of thin air. It's supposed to make the world feel bigger and more rich but to me it just seems to have the opposite effect. But I'll eat my words if the Straw Hats ever find their way to the Chichano kingdom for some tortas.
But I'm just nitpicking really. I'll withhold real judgement until things are in full swing. I'm not a fan of Sabo but if he were the shoe in protagonist this arc I think I would learn to like him. It's high time he actually earned his place in the character polls.
Just wait for next chapter to reveal that ivankov transformed himself and dragon into females and going undercover as princesses. Then Green bull will fall in love with dragon.
I know why I haven't liked One Piece in about 100 or so chapters now (aside from select moments/chapters), it's the art/cinematography, it has no presence to me, I'm not drawn into the world anymore, hope Oda can get back to his previous level one day.
Edit:
(Obviously it's the story as well, but the art is a major boon still)

Considering how they each only got 1 or 2 panels and probably had very little thought put into their names, I doubt any of them will be playing a major role. The page introducing them was just a chance for Oda to display diverse designs.

Huh. I never heard anybody badmouth the art before. The story constantly, but the art? That's new. Or i guess i do recall that time Ivotas hallucinated that a chapter of OP looked worse than a Togashi sketch. But that was crazy pants. Your objection is probably lotsa more sane.
Thinking about it now, I do prefer the earlier drawing style. Up to Alabasta and a little further. Not really sure what the point of noticeable change was. Somehwere around Sabaody or Impel Down? Thriller?
But I'm talking about the characters mostly.

Yeah, I think it was around Impel Down and Marineford that characters became "rounded", like Luffy's face. It used to be more "triangular".
