@Monkey:
How do you save a dead person?
But they said the poison could take days to work depending of the person's constitution… I know it's unlikely that it happens after 3episodes and X amounts of fast travels though.
-
It has probably been months since her poisoning. It took Robert a month alone to get to Winterfell from King's Landing in the first episode.
In the latest episode, Jon went all the way to the wall from Dragonstone. That's an even longer journey (by boat this time, but it still wouldn't be very fast).
That doesn't even include the other locations that characters have traveled to and back since her poisoning.
-
It's a good thing we're not dealing with White Runners.
-
Seriously. All Dany needs to do is land on top of the castle light it up a little. And if Cersei hides, just threaten to burn everything. She's so terrible nobody in.their righ mind should want to protect her
I'm still a bit perplexed with the Tarlys deciding to just die. Especially Dickon.
Seriously, i would not think too much about it at this point, otherwise it will diminish your enjoyment. Just watch it for the spectacle and the conclusion.
Many things do not make sense in this show… -
"Think too much" is not doing the obvious And trivial thing.
-
The people of King's Landing would probably appreciate getting sacked and occupied again.
-
Why is everyone assuming that because people don't like Cersei that they would be totally cool with a for all intents and purposes foreigner…. swooping in with terrifying literal monsters, at the front of a vicious rape and pillage Mongol stampede, with further backing from creepy penisless terminators.
-
oh yeah, so that's why Grey Worm didn't want to show his penis… completely forgot about that.
He should have a conversation with Varys.
-
Uhmm I wonder if Grey Worm is fine, he's got no food right??, and Teleportation Grand Master Euron is probably still there, waiting for him to come out.
-

I think Euron is suppose to take care of the sea. Land is jaimie's job.
-
Between the jet attack lady with the scary friends, vs the woman who blew up the pope and the queen who used to feed us and seemed to care, it's not a choice once the pope-blower is dead.

otoh, it never worked in slavers bay.

Maybe they'll be nostalgic for how great everything was under her father.
-
As an aside note, recalling the battle last episode, didn't the first season show that the Dothraki's scythe-swords don't work well on plate armor?
-
As long as the people themselves are not attacked, they do not care, case in point Cersei.
And there are no relevant houses left to oppose Dany if she simply takes the throne, at least in the show itself.
Simply take out Cersei, show you are a benovelent ruler, end of the "wheel".
But nah, we are supposed to pretend it all makes sense, so that they are justified dealing with the Night King in the last season only. -
As long as the people themselves are not attacked, they do not care, case in point Cersei.
Cersei immediately lost the loyalty of like almost everything around the Crownlands.
And there are no relevant houses left to oppose Dany if she simply takes the throne, at least in the show itself.
Define relevant here. You seem to be thinking enormously short term, that fear and hate festering below the surface won't be a problem.
Simply take out Cersei, show you are a benovelent ruler, end of the "wheel".
Why are we assuming its as easy as just burning the castle to know you've destroyed Cersei.
The only way that would actually make sense is if you also had the castle surrounded by land and sea, otherwise how do you know you killed her. -
@S.C.:

Curved blades are more efficient on horseback. They are easier to wield and aren't as likely to get stuck when you perform slashing motions. They have the disadvantage when on foot and you have to cut through a breastplate or whatever. Where a pointed sword has a significant advantage.
-
Whose is it then ? Qyburn :ninja:
Osney Kettleblack. The guy whose kid is least likely to look like Jaime.
-
The kettleblacks were removed from the series completely, Cersei never got any of her co-conspirator team up besides Qyburn. Do we know who besides Jaime (who is still kingsguard and still has a celibacy vow) and the Zombie Mountain are in the kingsguard?
-
Did anyone else watch the leaked sixth episode? I do regret it now that I have to wait till the 27 to watch the next

EPISODE 6 GOT LEAKED !!! Everyone on ThePirateBay !!!!!!
It's the HBO Spain guys that fucked up and released the episode for a "brief moment".
Anyway, beware on the internets ! Because you could get spoiled before Sunday night (/Monday morning).

Lets see here:
Meryn Trant
Boros Blount
Arys Oakheart [Since the whole Arienne story got cut, I guess he's alive]
Balon Swann, maybe?
Not sure who the last one would be if the Kettleblacks are not in and Loras being dead.

dayum, best episode so far
So much tension and so many jokes. Clegane for the crown !SPOILERS EPISODE 6
! hey who's gonna ride the third dragon ? Tyrion ? hahahahahahahaha
! Also Tormund and Clegane best friends CONFIRMED !!!!
! And Benjen should just re-name deus-ex-machina-mofo at this point.
! I really didn't care about the WhiteWalkers until now but damn, they really feel like a huge threat now.
Emilia Clarke still can't act… a shame. -
The Kingsguard just kinda stopped being a thing in the show besides Jaime and Ser Hypenstein's Monster.
It would be funny as shit if the Kettleblacks just showed up out of nowhere to fuck Cersei though.
-
Who are the Kettleblacks ?
-
Who are the Kettleblacks ?
The Kettleblacks are a trio of mercenary swordsmen in the books that fall into Cersei's employ. They're pretty average fighters but have few moral qualms, which suit Cersei nicely. As different members of the Kingsguard die, she appoints them there to earn their loyalty.
! She ends up sleeping with one of them regularly and offering herself as a bribe to another in exchange for trying to seduce and slander Margaery. It's one thing that drives a wedge between her and Jaime.
! It's also eventually revealed that the brothers' father is loyal to Littlefinger and thus implied that they are his agents too. -
oh, the books seem way much better when I hear little anecdotes like that. I'll read the books one day, until then I'll keep being a loser-OnePiece-anime-fan
-
Very happy a quality leak happened. Stayed up to 2am for that HD leak on /r/freefolk to happen wondering weather it was an elaborate hoax or they were going to deliver.
I'm not that big of a fan of the series, but this season has been great. Too bad there is only one more episode left until the long winter.
-
I can't fault Danny for killing Randall Tarly. He gave her the chance to switch sides and executed him when he refused. Fairly standard stuff. I do think however that it would have been a better idea to put Dickon in a dungeon to see if he can become more reasonable. If not you kill him 2-4 weeks later. It's mercy without being weak either. The chain excuse was a stupid one but she did have a reasonable point about how she already said if you don't bend you die and she can't go back on her word. A better option I think would have been Danny to see who prefer her to jail. Or at least present it in a less ominous way. Death or servitude doesn't make her sound the liberator she wants to be.
Also death by dragon looks cool but when your father was known to burn his enemies and you don't want people to associate it with you, dragon fire is in bad taste. Just decapitate them. It shows more of how the reason they die is because of what war is and not becasue you are the second coming of mad family. But I think the flwas I see in her reasoning goes back to her sense of entitlement and shows how she's growing but still have things to learn. So I enjoyed the scene.
I really don't believe Rndall turning against Olenna made much sense especially when Olenna allied to a Targaryen but I'm glad he didn't just switch again. I feel the only reason he turned in the series is because he is an asshole so they shoved him in with the bad guys. A shame that the reedeming thing the series gave him is sticking to a stupid choice that I don't think he would make.
So I guess Danny put the Dothrakis in their boats and sailed back with them. I wonder how Greyworm is doing on his side. She should have given him a little visit if only to rassure him they are still the ones in control of the war.
It's funny that Jaimie choose now to tell Cersei she will lose. I mean they have been saying this the whole season but somehow it is treated as some kind of reveal despite a mention every episode of how Danny could end when she decides and every ally starting with "They have dragons so there's no good reason to follow you". I'm not even sure why this battle is the one that get them desperate. They manage to injured a dragon, get their gold and the one that were slaughtered were the slackers of the army. If anything they proved that they somehow are able to get results so seing them get desperate now was strange to me. I mean Robert already new the trouble of fighting Dothrakis back in season 1 and only 1 horde was on board.
I doubt Varys would be that extensive on feeling bad about dead people. I'm not even sure he would feel that bad. But the bit about the letter was funny and it put puts the idea that Tyrion has to find a way to be more assertive. Although I'm not sure if he can do much more. Danny listen to a lot and take a lot of his advices. But they are advice and sometimes she has to make her own decisions.
Fuck Arya. I know her attitude make sense considering the kind of relation she always had with Sansa but I still did not like it. So what that Sansa like power and like having people acknowledge her abilities? She's pushing those bad instincts away to keep the confidence in John when he return and she at least is trying to improve her relationship with her siblings(she's the one to ask Arya to be frank).
On a more funny note it seems creepy manipulator spidey sense beats assassin ninja vanish. I spent the whole time wondering which would come out on top of the vanishing game. Also happy that Bealish didn't burn the paper because getting found was part of the plan.
I did not like the scene with Drogon. It looks awesome but it is super fanservice and I'm not sure why it happened. If at least it was Drogon by himself I could buy it and appreciate it more. But Danny landing in front of John as if she still needed to assess that she was the dominating one was werd(to me).
So it seems the war is going to get postpone. This might actually make Cersei interesting again. I do believe of the reminding forces she has the ability to stew enough chaos that at the end of a war with the dead she is one of the last standing with the power to take the throne. I wonder if she's truly pregnant. I hope she is for some nice drama.
Davos was awesome. That whole scene when talking to the guards is pure gold(at least 100 pieces). Gendry was funny when meeting John.
So John is a legitimate child. I really don't like that Danny could marry or kill him but I don't like the idea of Danny getting married to a more legitimate heir for the throne. I guess John could always die in the war. One thing for sure the showrunners are really pusing the Danny wants to jump John's bone. Westeros has a pretty awful history of boner wars. Pretty much any recent major conflict is a result of the need to bone a particular person.
How the hell did Sam know what books to take? At least now that he left he can enjoy the pleasure of the flesh with his companion and still get the knowledge.
John not giving a damn about the tension between the members of his group and going on the battlefront when that's a bad idea is regular John Snow. Even him not going to Winterfell to tell the lords how much he accomplished without even bending is classic John. I'm glad to have him back and to see that work for him. Although I'm not sure why Tormound also came.
How do they plan on getting the zombie to the wall? Did they bring ropes? Was there really not a 4-5 widlings available to help?
In general I feel the show is becoming more and more of a traditional show with traditional plot, tropes and moral which I'm not particularly fond of in the case of GOT.
-
Guys, just watch the 6th episode–-- it's out, and the quality is good (video and sound).

I'm stating to seriously wonder if these leaks are somehow promotional to the series, since it came out late and people are anxious one chapter after another, aaand, does HBO loses any money at all?? that billion green babies still seems to float safely into their bank account.
SPOILER
! I could see where this plot of "let's get Cercei to the team" seems to be going, since the army of the death have grown to an incredible massive level, having a battle with The Dothraki, Unsillied, Northern Loyals to Stark, Wildlings, The vale's army, 2 dragons, and adding the Lannisters(specially Jaime and Bronn <3) against the WW and their blue eyed white dragon, there would be no words to express the epicness of such battle(also if Ghost and Nymeria show up), so that at the end Cercei can scheme some evil plan along with Euron, and we could have both Tyrion and Jaime at the same place to make a bit more complicated to decide who's gonna be the brother who's killing her, since at this point Jaime looks obvious af.

Is the episode hd?
full hd
It's available on the pirate bay for torrent users but people are saying it's on streaming too.
It's the longest and best (imo) episode so far (at least in this season).I downloaded it this morning, told myself I would stop watching it after 10minutes if the quality sucked, but it was pretty good.

It is very much promotional, and in my opinion they might even been doing this on purpose. Same for the leaks in the past seasons.

! logical shooting the one dragon that flies through the air and not the one that is before you on the ground:ninja::ninja::ninja:
-
btw we're being reminded two times Jon is not tall and even pretty much little by Gendry and by Daenerys this time, but common, most characters in the show aren't really taller than him.
Also lol at Gendry joking about Jon's height about his father even though Sean Benn is only 6centimeters taller…....--- Update From New Post Merge ---

! logical shooting the one dragon that flies through the air and not the one that is before you on the ground:ninja::ninja::ninja:
! Might as well wonder why the dragons didn't just burn the Night King and the other riders… and also why Jon and Co. haven't broke more of the ice surrounding them during the night to make sure the WhiteWalkers wouldn't reach them....... :ninja:
! and---- let's not forget how Jon got himself cornered and saved at the last minute by a lady for the second time -
!
-
Well, shit. That happened.
Don't read these spoilers if you haven't seen episode 6 yet:
! First of all, this whole thing with Sansa and Arya is…unfortunate. I'm not finding Arya to be very sympathetic in this feud...ironic, since I normally like Arya much better than Sansa. I disagreed with some of Sansa's actions in this episode, too, but I can't help but feel sympathy for her here--surrounded by fair-weather lords, Littlefinger the schemer, and two highly creepy and messed up little siblings.
! It hurt to see Daenerys and Tyrion arguing like that. I hope they can patch things up soon. And also, lulz at how the first half of the episode was just a "character chat" segment, with everybody talking to everybody else. Not that I disliked it, though; there were some good interactions.
! RIP Thoros, Viserion, and Benjen. Tbh, Thoros was cool, but it was almost guaranteed that one of the seven named characters on the trip was gonna die, and I'm relatively much more okay with him being the dead guy than I might have with some of the others. His death gives Beric's life more weight since now he can't simply get revived if he dies. I was a bit worried at the beginning that Tormund might bite it too, talking about how he's got a lady he wants to go back to, but I liked how they teased him dying but it didn't actually happen. I was like "Dammit, Sandor!" when his stunt with throwing the rocks got the wights to attack, but at least he saved Tormund to somewhat make up for it. I also had to chuckle at how the show added a couple of random nameless guys to the seven-person team we saw last episode, just so that they would have some actual fodder to kill.
! For Viserion...freakin' ouch. Now we have an ice dragon, I guess? Poor guy. And with his death, also RIP much of the fandom's dreams of Tyrion and Jon each getting a dragon to ride. The Night's King just keeps looking more and more unbeatable. I found myself more agreeing with Jon at the end--they shouldn't have gone. Getting that wight was so not worth the cost, and it wasn't the most solid plan to begin with. But, I guess it would have been a lot more frustrating if all that happened and they didn't get the wight in the end. And, as Dany pointed out herself, at least now she fully understands how fuckin' huge of a problem the army of the dead is.
! For Benjen: guess that's the second time he served as a deus ex machina to save a family member. Since we didn't see Rhaegal when Dany and Drogon and co started flying away, I was half-expecting Rhaegal to be the one to somehow rescue Jon, and Jon would get to ride him, but...Benjen was cool, I guess? Shame he just literally shows up to save Jon and die. He was already kind of undead anyway, but will that affect anything, or will he still just become a normal wight?
! Also, was anybody else weirded out by Jon calling Daenerys "Dany" at the end there? He's never heard anybody call her that before, so he seemingly just came up with that on a whim, but he's usually too polite and formal to address her in such a way. I dunno, it just felt really strange to me.
! And any remaining subtlety that there might have been about Jon/Dany just went flying straight out the window. I'm still not completely sold on this pairing. I know that, unlike other incest on the show, Dany and Jon have no idea that they're related, so it's not like they're choosing incest on purpose, but I still feel kinda weird about it. At the same time, they're two of my fave characters, and I'm pretty sure I'd be shipping them hard if we didn't know they were related, so that complicates it a little more. Also complicating it is the fact that, since this season has had such a fast pace, their thing with each other also feels a bit rushed.
! But none of this is to say that I didn't like the episode, because I certainly did. After last week's cooldown, this was pretty epic. And next episode is the finale already. Shortened season does indeed feel very short. -
Spoiler episode 6:
! - I liked the different interaction of the outisde fine enough. Most of it was entertaining(espcially Tormund and the hound) and I can't think of one that made me cringe.
! -Fuck Arya. You would think Sansa mentioning her not running to save her father would make her open to real discussion but nope. Not to say Sansansa handled it the best but you can understand why she would close off when Arya is implying she was having a great time and at least she was trying to communicate at the start.
! -I really like Tyrion's discussion with Danny. I like that both made their points clear and they were actually exchanging ideas and point of view without immediately shutting down the other. It's been some time I saw a discussion that did not seem needlessly pompous or all about innuendos. I totally forgot about Danny not being able to have children.
! -So killing the walkers means killing the onens he turn. Definitely all races of monsters have the same stupid weakness. At least they got to capture their zombie without much loss and discovered a major weakness. Gendry wasn't much useful to the trip but at least he saw the dead and that's good for credibility sake. Plus the boy can run like no others.
! -It is a bad idea for Sansa to trust Littlefinger. Sadly with how her family acts she doesn't have much people that can help. I like that despite all Littlefinger hints her whole rant is about how she is having trouble to keep them in check until Jon get back. She is truly trying to keep true to Jon despite the plays of Littlefinger. Let's hope she doesn't do something completely stupid. Anyway Littlefinger is determined to climb that freaking ladder.
! - Jon continue being oblivious by not sending a raven to inform of his progress.
! -Why is Sansa invited to king's landing? Isn't Jon already going there to represent the North? I assumed he was. Anyway it is understandable why she wouldn't go there since it tends to be a trap. I'm really not sure on sending Brienne tho. She's loyal to her personally(and her sister but they aren't in open war) and could be a good help in a pinch. Plus she knows little about politics. She should send one of the lords. A willing one if possible. sell it as a sign of trust and give him 5 men to protect him. Or another option. I really don't think sending Brienne away made much sense for now.
! -Tyrion keeps losing his grip little by little on Danny. Which is not surprising considering his plans keep failing and his advices having bar much fruits. I like her dress for Dragon riding. I seem to remember Drogon being much bigger than the other 2 due to going free but it seems they have catch up. Also they seem less distinct then before but that might be me.
! -Those Dragon looks Freaking impressive and that deserve it's personal mention.
- So the walkers can kill dragons in 1 good spear thrust. Why the hell didn't the dragons try to burn them. I mean that's the first thing I thought they would do when they showed up. I also wonder if that spear was so effective because the dragon was in the air so he was pumping blood out faster. One thing for sure it made Danny having to escape much more compelling.-Not gonna lie the bit with The hound sending those rocks might have been stupid but I sure as hell laugh. The moment when the zombie realize he can walk there is priceless. But why the hell are the walkers just watching. Can't they just spear people like they spear dragons later. Anyway the fight was entertaining.
! -The Dragons are awesome at what they do. Them melting that ice and burning those freaking zombies was awesome. Espcially when they are leaving and you the traces in the ice. -With the 1 dragon short and a postponing the war I'm kind of interested in Cersei once again. She should have been dealt with a long time ago but now she once again has a shot at winning it all. The players left on the board aren't that great at playing and the night king is the kind of chaos you need when you need to shuffle the cars. As said by Littlefinger Chaos is a (possible) ladder. The question is can Cersei make the climb.
! - I'm glad we did not get a fake cliffhanger with Jon "dying". That horse is really quite something to take that cold.
! - Another Fuck you to Arya. Now she is just straight up threatening her sister. I hope John will be able to put some order in all that. But that's if Jon is going back to the North. I'm still iffy on his destination at this point.
! - Danny and Jon are gonna bang. I hope they don't. Also calling her Danny is weird. Another thing the show put on Jon that I don't believe he would do.
! -Thanks to the show being more classic Tormund survived.
! -We have Blue eyes Dragon I wonder if they breath fire or a blizzard. I bet on regular fire sadly. -
aaand, does HBO loses any money at all??
Nope.
Episode 4 leaked, and it scored a 4.6 in the demo and a series high (10.1 million iirc) in total viewers.
Episode 5 set records in both demos and viewership. (5.0 / 10.7 m)
HBO is still getting filthy rich off this show no matter how many hundreds of millions are watching in advance.

! I'm rooting for the adventures of Tormund and Clegane now.
Tormund: Gotta head south and beyond Westerns, plenty of things to see.
And I guess Clegane would find a reason to go with him too… like maybe uh, wine ?

! I love how a giant crossbow can't kill a dragon, but one Ice Zombie is like. "I GOT IT! HUH!" and one shots him.
-
! There was obvious magic involved in the dragon murder though.
! What I'm more amazed about is the strength in the Night King's arm. I call BS if anyone can fight him with a sword. -
Episode 6 spoiler
! Aight, the Night King riding a dragon battling Dany riding a dragon. There goes the budget for Ghost for all eternity.
! The weapons they they use are capable of shattering a regular sword to pieces. I imagine it would pierce a dragon's skin easier than a regular spear.
! I know some don't like Jon and Dany being together, but I do, because he humanizes her. More often than not she's trying to be queenly: stern, decisive, but around him, she's staring to feel comfortable. She respects him and he respects her enough now to bend the knee. If any, Jon might be the only one able to stop her from burning everyone.
! Odd thing to say but I prefer the face of the previous Night King actor.
! Gendry is the only dude allowed to cover his head with a hood. Bastards!
! No clue as to where Arya and Sansa plot is going. Littlefinger can't win, no way. Even if he does, with Jon and Dany both on the same side now, he won't last long. -
Martin just sees it as a very big Europe…
culturally and socially, but in size GRRM said it was roughly the same size as South America, but, it appears the showrunners are completely ignorant of this fact and have people traveling from here to there like it was some small town in Nevada.
-
! When we think about it. Can Arya just kill Littlefinger ? I mean, Robin Arryn has an army…. Well, I guess she could kill him and take his face.

Not sure about Arya and Tormund...A two book series titled Fire and Blood (dubbed The GRRMarillion) should be coming out in the next year or two with a detailed history of the Targaryen rule of Western, from Aegon's conquest through the Dance of the Dragons and Blackfyre Rebellions all the way to Robert's Rebellion. Any of those four would make for a good prequel/spin-off series, as well as a bunch of other side stories alluded to in his histories.
