@Don:
:)
No problem, for typing on your phone you reply damn fast^^
I checked RD`s post and he mentioned beside Caesar Poseidon as a reason, because that would make Kaidou likely to invade her territory.
First of all Luffy won´t leave Totland with FI being in any kind of danger, so i doubt BM has FI as a territory anymore once the arc is over.
Especially now, when another goal will be to get Jinbe in his crew.
Shirahoshi was seen to be on the way to the Reverie, so when Kaidou wants her he wouldn´t have to attack FI, but go after her to Maryjoa.
So BM and Kaidou colliding because of her stays as a possibility, but doesn´t exactly convince me of it.
I think the fact that some can´t see Luffy going back to back against two yonkou makes them believe, that those two yonkou have to interact somehow, so that defeating them becomes a possibility. Especially when their storylines are so close together.
Also just imagining these two big shots interacting might be reason enough to hope for that, but i personally can´t see more than maybe some crewmembers of the opposite yonkou appearing in the arc of the other.
Thanks for the compliment, I'm finally back on my laptop. XD
It's not just the whole Poseidon thing (and Big Mom can still get involved since she has to protect the inhabitants of her territory. And I doubt that she wouldn't be interested in Shirahoshi if she found out about her power). It's mainly how many close calls there have been between the Big Mom and Kaido crews showing up in the same place/territory (Dressrosa and Zou) while chasing the Straw Hats as well as Caesar Clown. Because narratively speaking, I don't see Caesar just happening to be the incremental factor to supplying both Big Mom and Kaido with their dream crews to just be a coincidence, that there's not going to be some sort of tug o' war between both sides in some fashion. I doubt that Caesar is not going to play some sort of role in Wano (and perhaps even beyond during whatever arc Vegapunk finally shows up), and I also find it unlikely that Whole Cake is going to be the one and only contained arc in this current Yonko saga that won't have some sort of ramifications for Wano being the climax. I don't see it just ending with Luffy rescuing Sanji and recruiting Jinbe and merrily sailing off, especially with the stakes this high, like dealing with Big Mom just turned out to be this momentary diversion that's either completely solved or will be returned to years later. Not to mention the whole Mink traitor debacle I mentioned earlier, because I don't think that two Minks just happening to tag along while this is still an open plot thread (especially since we're going to get more insight on Pedro's background and maybe Carrot) is going to fade away until Wano. And that isn't even mentioning how the Minks are also going to be major players in Wano as allies, in both Big Mom and Kaido's arcs. I'm not trying to prove that Big Mom and Kaido are going to have some big war or even that Big Mom and Kaido will meet face-to-face or even talk. I'm merely trying to state that I firmly believe that their crews are going to interact and acknowledge each other at some point. To which degree and how? That's anybody's guess. I just can't see Oda weaving these plot lines together so closely to not somehow recognize each other, especially since they're on the same level of power and have been stuck at a stalemate where they would be eager to jump at each other's throat if given the proper opportunity or incentive.
Plus, and I know this sounds like a bit of a stretch, but since we all expect Moria to come back at some point, he has a direct tie to both Big Mom through taking Lola's shadow and Kaido due to wanting vengeance. Now, I am not saying that Moria is going to show up during this arc or anything random like that when there's little-to-no evidence for it, but it's a decent example of how intertwined Oda's been developing Kaido and Big Mom's plot lines in the past few years. As unrelated as they seem, I don't think they just happen to align considering everything else. If it was just the Poseidon thing or just Caesar or any one or two elements solely? Maybe it would just be a coincidence. But all of this? Nah, Oda's too much of an established mastermind at intersecting seemingly unrelated and distant elements of characters for me to wave it off.
I'm not so sure about them interacting solely because Luffy's tackling them at the same time. It's the fact that they share several connections with established characters that are currently relevant as well as having the key to their goals aligning in one person.
@Don:
Sure, but i think it´s necessary for her to realize during this arc that her dream won´t come true, so that Luffy can "defeat" her.
I can somewhat agree with that. But it doesn't mean she has to give up on him completely. Despite Caesar's evolve or die situation, Big Mom seems obsessed with finding any sort of means to achieving her dream. It's even been mentioned that she wants to ally with Germa 66 solely for their scientific prowess, which may also be a backup plan for her dream or related to curing her illness. And she could still have extra uses for him. There's plenty of ways for this to play out. In fact, if she does find out Caesar is a fraud, she could still want him purely for the sake of wanting to destroy him herself or to enslave him for making weapons and whatever uses he can still have.
