In all honesty I still have no idea why I got banned on my CLERIC-SHADOW account, nor was I ever given a reason. If you look back at all my post I honestly never did anything wrong. I just started a Smash tourney at the time and then backed out because I had things going on.
If it's any consolation I remember the name "Cleric Shadow". Unlike say "Ned Gutters".

ohh. Arararararara….this thread suddenly got lively when i was not paying attention, hehehe. why don't the poll have the celestial dragons / cpo as an option, or world government as a more broad yet profond option instead of just Akainu or Just 5 elders? why do so many members speak
Because final villain discussion really is about that. About specific characters. The WG and it's various internal bits will unquestionably be involved in the final WAR.
But that war in classic shonen fashion will boil down to one on one fights, at the least with Luffy fighting somebody.
And that's really what we're talking about here.
World Government as you're saying is broad, that's exactly the problem with suggesting it.
of the worldgovernment as just the marines, when they are just like a single card of the real personel in authority?
The Marines make up the vast majority of WG pieces on the board is why. They're the military of the WG, yes of course there are other forces that the WG wields. The CP's, various generic agents, staff of places like Impel Down, the Shichibukai for the time being, and possibly even the Gorosei themselves.
And I'm sure we all expect some additional strong sorts stationed in Mariejois.
But the Marines are like numerically 90% of that probably.
@Rob, if the world government, blackbeard and luffy fractions fought during the final battle any idea what each respectively would be fighting over? There are to many pages in the threads to read in a short period of time, but i am curious, Don't know if you have explained those in yours or maybe MK's past opinonated "outlook" on the final villain or what not.
Yes I have actually explained it. Though it's a very vague even symbolic explanation rather than actual straight up character motives.
More a way of thinking of what each side represents.
It boils down freedom vs anarchy vs order. Something like that anyway.
The basic idea is the values of the AK are involved with freedom on some level. That they were in some ways scary to the founders of the WG due to this.
The WG eliminated them and sealed their works and history away.
The WG then has come to represent a conservative status quo. One based on authority and control. And stability.
Pirates and people like them represent the opposite of that. And thematically that ought to tie into the values of the AK, or that someone or other in the AK was pushing.
But that split in two.
Positive freedom, and negative freedom. Luffy and pirates like Shanks represent this. They live in opposite fashion from the orderly stable authoritarian values of the WG. And it's good, we like them and identify with them. We'd like to see them succeed.
But there's negative freedom, the anarchic violence of Blackbeard and villainous pirates.
Don't get too fixated on the word "freedom". I think that difference of value between Blackbeard and Luffy is the key regardless of what it comes down exactly. They both represent something outside the government, and I believe that extends to the values of the AK.
The AK secrets we KNOW are two sided already. On one hand there must be some good to the AK and what got sealed away, on the other hand we KNOW there's bad due to the Ancient Weapons.
The final part of the series will be characterized by the unleashing of the secrets of the AK. The good and the bad alike. The thing the WG has feared it's whole existence. The thing they have even existed to stop. Luffy will come to represent the good secrets, Blackbeard will represent the bad. Them both being D's aids this idea.
The WG will collapse in this unleashing, they are the status quo villain, their job will be to crumble with the end of the status quo and realization of their worst fears.
Making way for the struggle over the new era after them. How to define the new era. Either the ideal the AK may have stood for? In Luffy? Or the dark side of it, a corruption of it. With Blackbeard.
The WG is a status quo villain. Blackbeard is a radical change villain.
The former stands tall during the series as the constant wall our heros fight against, and by nature falls apart near the end.
The latter is the sort that rises to full height at the very end when everything is up in the air.
Do you foresee, this is if it actually happens, the battle to play out similar to marinford cause to me i have a hard time picturing blackbeard trying to overthrow the world government;
Put Pluton in his control and then is it so hard to see? Not that I think he's just going to directly target them exactly.
which leaves our protagonist and his reaction then, would he not concentrate on blackbeard as he since the defeat of ace always seem pretty heated when blackbeard in person
You're talking like the final war would be a single battle. People need to stop doing this.
will eigher of the two rivals as i see black beard and luffy, ever really hold a candle to the full force of the government?
I addressed this with Austrocrazyperson, but this is a faulty way to frame the conflict. The WG isn't one faction. You yourself said this. But we can expect that the conflicting internal tensions in the Marines will at some point fracture, and world changing chaos at the end will surely be the point where that really comes to a head. I expect a Marine civil war as part of this. Not to mention all the nations of the world choosing sides. Much of the final war will be spread far and wide. I expect Blackbeard to snake through that as he does, with the aid of an Ancient Weapon. And I expect all the division will leave the WG leadership more isolated and less protected from direct interaction with people like Dragon. Breaking the WG core down to it's individuals rather than it's whole forces.
i always thought luffy and blackbeard( and maybe though unlikely Kidd) will unite the pirate world under their selves respectfully,
…Blackbeard is a super mega villain Oda's been building up as such since we first heard he wrecked Drum Kingdom in volume 15.
One with really bad blood with Shanks.
This is quite simply not happening.ps the location should have great influence on any possible battle in this fashion as well imo atleast, so do you all think its raftel a marine base, maybe blackbeards base, marijoa?
It's not a battle. It's a war.
