@HaxeyeMihawk:
I get your point but Luffy wasn't really getting wrecked in the manga by Doflamingo the whole point of the chapter in the manga was that Luffy couldn't hit Doflamingo hard enough to inflict meaningful damage even though he could knock him away which the anime managed to illustrate.
My only gripe with episode was the zany animation and art but obviously budget sacrifices were made for this episode to allow for more budget for next week.
Agree the point was that whenever luffy tried to put any power into his attacks doffy would dodge and whenever he tried to just tag him, it was just a slap to doffy.
Kimd of disagree with the art, it wasnt as consistent as last weeks yet it seemed to have higher highs.

@Chopperrules:
Aside from the long ass recap and a bit of a slow start, the episode really picked up momentum and upped the animation. I thought the fight was solid and well executed and hell, they didn't even milk the flashbacks. Speaking of flashbacks, I have to really give a hand to Toei for showing Doffy with his original anime color design for consistency. His shirt was colored dark pink/red or so in his early appearances before his official color scheme of orange was shown in Marineford by Oda. But rather than use that scheme they went with his original outfit, which he was wearing around the time after the Alabasta arc when Croc was defeated. It's small but details like that I do appreciate.
The FOURTH GEAR in the subtitles really did take me out of the moment though, sadly. Usually I don;t care but in a case like this the impact was truly lost.
Who does the subbing, does yibi,s have a better version that comes out a few weeks later?
