Everyone always tells me 'Dunkin donuts is the best!' Or 'Shipley's is the best!' And I get their regular donuts and it's always the same thing: sticky, somewhat moist disappoint. Krispy Kreme is indeed very sweet but their hot fresh chocolate donuts are mind blowingly tasty as a once in a while type thing
Only lately am I realizing that Donut Wheel, while always being a personal favorite, might actually be the best donuts. I am finally cutting through the internalized donut racism where people have told me over and over throughout the years what to believe is the best donut, and actually forming my own opinions as a donut connoisseur, after having tried all these other brands
Also savannah has a local place called Baker's Pride which makes incredible thick and sweet donuts too.

Krumpe's Donuts are the best donuts, and I pity every last one of you that (presumably) doesn't live anywhere close to the only one that exists.

Plus there's the Luther Burger, but the less said about that, the better.
All that variety and yet I counted at least 18 variety of glazed donuts excluding their original glazed variety of donuts. As for the Luther burger I'm longer bothered by seeing people take something that can already be unhealthy (but delicious looking sometimes) even more unhealthy.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Krispy Kreme hands down the best. Their crullers, a little reheated, amazeballs. I won't eat a Dunkin, they just taste too bland and they're too thick to be so bland so it's like you get full off something that wasn't even that enjoyable.
But we have plenty of good doughnut places in the city.

Not glazing a doughnut is like refrigerating ketchup; it's wrong but a lot of people do it anyway.

Really fresh home or craft-made donuts can be delicious overkill even without he glaze.

Well I don't like ketchup but part of me couldn't imagine eating it cold.

Once when my family was visiting family in New Hampshire we ate at a local place for breakfast. I ordered something called cruller French toast, thinking it was just your regular French toast just with cruller bread. Instead it turned out to be French toast with the bread substituted with cruller doughnuts, complete with all the syrup and butter and everything. I was flabbergasted, and to this day maintain that if there's one meal I've ever eaten that made me certain I'd just shortened my life expectancy, that was it.

And yeah honestly out of the dem candidates, Coakley's pretty weak I feel and I don't really like Grossman. Berwick's a great guy and a pediatrician but he could never win against the other two unfortunately, soooo it's Coakley for the dems lolllllllllll
