Why do I feel that Ging's going to die in this arc.
Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
-
-
Why do I feel that Ging's going to die in this arc.
Because Leorio's punch has a delayed effect and Ging has to take 10,000 more steps before his heart explodes.
-
Who else thought this scene was comedic fucking gold?
-
One of the main characters is gonna die. There, a bold prediction.
It's already been confirmed it will be Kurapika.
-
According to some people on MAL
states that there will be a new opening animation in the next episode. Good to hear that.
PS:
Please don't kill me.Wait. People honestly didn't think they'd change the opening animation?
So what? They expected them to keep the unupdated through the whole arc Chimera Ant opening instead of changing it to something from the Election? The fanbase makes me laugh sometimes

I didn't, but yes: A lot of people thought Madhouse wouldn't do a new animation the last 13 episodes or so. I hope we get a nice new ending as well.
-
So i saw the latest episode and it looked like it was going forward with the election arc. Does anyone know if the anime stopping after that? Or maybe having original fillers?
Most likely stopping. They had a 340 chapters buffer before and there have been no fillers so far.
and this is a proper studios, not that Toei/Perriot 1episode:1chapter ratio shit.
and Robby and a few others have mentioned it from time to time.
I think they will insert fillers on this arc.
Please do a bit of research or thought before you post, it can be quite annoying when you make statements that sound like you didn't put much care into it.

Actually Ondera's comment was a bit different and a bit more specific about whats going to happen in this arc.

Actually Ondera's comment was a bit different and a bit more specific about whats going to happen in this arc.
http://www.manganetabarespoiler.com/hxh-special-project.htmlNo, it isn't. This spoiler - blogger interpreted "Top 3" as "Worst 3" and gave Onodera's words a different nuance. Rio Poneglyph from Oro Jackson provided an accurate translation as far as I can tell:
''In the history of HXH, a Top 3 Impactful scene will surely appear later in manga. I'm afraid that it'll probably happen with readers waiting in expectation… (he didnt finish this sentence...) So keep an eye out for it.''
-
I may be reaching here, but I just want to bring this up.
Ging said that Ai and Papu are already present in the human world. We know Ai exist in the form of Nanika, but what about Papu?
This is a reach, but, is it possible Pap is connected to the Sonata of Darkness?
Its description is "A trade off between life and pleasure"
I don't know if listening to the devil's sonata is a pleasurable experience, but one does get things in exchange for listening to it. Then there is Melody's body, it caused her to shrink(maybe) and lose most of her hair, and there is something wrong with the appearance of her arm that wasn't shown, and she said the person who played it entire body was like that. (not from an official translation) Whatever the song did to him, it changed the appearance of his entire body into something apparently grotesque.
Is there anything else mentioned previously that may be a connection to Papu?
-
Doubtful unless the beast manifests itself only when the piece is played. The way Melody described her hunt made it sound like the sonata is an actual piece of music with horrendous side effects
-
If they were connected to it, I was kind of thinking that the music may have been created by, or originates with Pap, but that requires that they have some intelligence. Nanika is sentient, so Pap may be as well depending on how far the "Keeps humans as pets" relationship goes. Will have to wait and see if they just keep humans as "pets" to drain them in exchange for giving the humans pleasure and that's all, or if they are actually able to control humans from behind the scenes, which may be how they got into human world. If their power is just as 'supernatural' as Ai's, I can see it being within their power to create something like the Sonato.
-
If anything papu seems closer to D2 which Gyro produced.
-
No, it isn't. This spoiler - blogger interpreted "Top 3" as "Worst 3" and gave Onodera's words a different nuance. Rio Poneglyph from Oro Jackson provided an accurate translation as far as I can tell:
Waiting in expectation… so while we're waiting through a hiatus? Darn...
Or else waiting for those 4 things to actually get us to the Dark Continent. Right now it's being called the Dark Continent Arc but couldn't it end up being more like the preparation for the DC Arc instead? Like Fishman Island in OP or something.

Brion is in the other circle? haha :ninja:
He will take Ging's head. -
Was Ai confirmed as Nanika?
-
Not confirmed. At least not yet.
-
The nature of Ai is very different from Nanika though. Ai drives people insane while Nanika's principle is equivalent exchange.
But at the same time I don't think it's coincidence that both of them say "Ai."
-
Watch it as we find out Silva shagged an Ai and Nanika is the result.
-
Was Ai confirmed as Nanika?
Not confirmed, but hints have been dropping constantly.
-
The bodies
-
Nanika saying "Ai"
-
Ai being confirmed to be present in the human world.
-
It being confirmed that one of the Zoldycks have been to the DC.
And then the background image of Ging talking about Ai being full of the same eyes as Nanika.
-
-
Screw it, I'm catching up with the manga. I just hope I get my fair share of chapters before Togashi enters another hiatus. If he really does adopt an Oda-like publishing schedule, that would be truly fantastic.

What made you want to catch up? The Election arc isn't that long.
-
Well, I'd like to discuss the current manga chapters, and the anime is aired on a weekly basis too, so I'd have to wait for new content either way. Also, it was nice to read all the arc in one go for a change.

Gon should've beaten Meruem with nakama love and a friendship speech.
-
its possible to put filler episode in the anime
chapter 345? episode 130+?:D
-
Seeing how many subplots are there (Gon Aura's recovery, Killua and Nanika (and Zoldyck family in general), Kurapika and The prince - and possibly Phantom Troupe, Ging and Pariston, Zodiac and Beyond Netero, Don Freecs, Welfin Hina & Bizeff quest to find Gyro, Hisoka & Chrollo and of course Dark Continent itself), i expect there'll be many mini arcs intertwining just like York Shin and Greed Island Auction. It's such a massive boner inducing idea, but frightening to think abt how long it will take to finish em all. Waaaaahh
-
honestly the stupidity of those two posts…...........................
@phoenixboosh are you iqover190? go troll the naru-blech thread, this place is for intellectual discussion

:Dsince you dont seem to be trolling i'll say it for the last time. i've already said it several times to you
already been explained that it's unlikely, the anime has been filler free so far, there's no reason to add filler just to drag it out given that togashi's release schedule is unpredictable
please don't post random thoughts that you haven't spend more than one second thinking on.
EDIT: refering to the two posts above botnus' not his.

Considering that Togashi's inconsistency on HxH's manga release, it's really scary if he would be able to finish it. Too much nerdgasm for HxH fans like us if he can continue this series for at least a couple more years without taking long hiatus.

@phoenixboosh are you iqover190? go troll the naru-blech thread, this place is for intellectual discussionWell, considering that Gon got his massive and unwarranted powerup due to his grieving for Kite, you can probably name it as some sort of nakama power, especially in view of how overwhelming the power he unlocked was. And giving the disparity of his previous fighting strenght and the new one displayed against the previous almost invincible Pitou, it may give way to speculation that this nakama powerup really did not know any boundaries and would have enabled him to go directly against the king as well (if you argue, that the possibility of Gon succeeding against Pitou with his "normal" strenght was roughly the same as someone on Pitou's level succeeding against Meruem).
He also cleverly tied the supposed backlash of Gons powerup and the supposedly desastrous healing of this backlash via Nanaka, -as we all know resolved through the terrible explanation of Killua being able to use Allukas powers for free because both liking each other- into his criticism of Togashis use of nakama/friendship powers.
As you see, phoenixboosh actually presented a very deeply thought-out argument in the purest and simplest way possible.

Couldn't have said it better myself you earned my respect.
Togashi really is a rebel when it comes to typical shounen manga where the main antagonist is beaten by the main protagonist.
-
Started blazing through the anime since late last week and just finished episode 85….
This arc will give me a heart attack I swear.
I hated the fact that
! Gon's little pep talk got my hopes up that Kite survived the battle, only to see his decapitated head in Neferpitou's lap at the end
cries but continues to marathon the series in masochistic pleasure

One's Nen and Hatsu can be boosted by 3 options…
1. Emotion(s).
2. Using a Vow. There are 2 types of Vows; a Normal Vow and a Vow made out of one's emotion(s) or has a great meaning to the user. The latter produces more boost than the former.
3. Putting a Limitation to one's Vow.In Gon's fight against Pitou, he only used 2 of those; Emotion and Vow.
Gon's deep hatred against Pitou was very clear to the point that the JaJankenRock he tried to use on Knuckle paled in comparison to the JaJankenRock he tried to use on Morel who he imagined was Pitou. Plus the only training he received was "Use Ren for 3 hours daily" training and that was even before his last fight with Knuckle and even way before the "Morel is Pitou" incident.
As to the Vow Gon made, it was the latter type of Vow. The Vow he made was to "I don't care if this the end. I'll use everything." and made that Vow to kill the Ant he hates most.
As for Alluka/Nanika, he's a Specialist who IMO made stricter and complicated Vow and Limitation to his Hatsu. I have these ideas though on what these Vow and Limitation are.
Vow: He can only fulfill other people's wish.
Limitation: If anyone other than Killua tries to make a wish, then the following conditions must apply. (Grant 3 requests of Nanika then get wish; Next person to make wish receives the "weight" of the previous person's wish through the requests; If person fulfilling a request dies, the "weight" of requests to be asked goes back to 1; etc).
-
We are under the impresion that Aluka is a nen user, but these "Ai" beings could explain Nanika's existence, as either something else, or a nen creature.

SO every sudden random power up = Nen? ….........
-
Will be chapter this week ?
-
Yes I think there will be one.
-
Just bought volume 1-11 from my local publisher. Finally they translate HxH (i am in Indonesia). It'll be a very slow release so i think i'll just buy the rest (particularly volume 18-32) off amazon cause i want to see Chimera Ant arc redrawn version (even though the price is ten times more. It's $1.50 for a regular volume manga here and $12-15 on amazon. Probably better paper quality etc bu still. Sigh)
-
SO every sudden random power up = Nen? ….........
When the rules and conditions and powers are as cleanly defined as Nen's are, and when they explicitly say "this is a nen ability"?
… yes.
-
Nakama power is the strongest nen power
-

I don't really remember nen being that cleanly defined or at least they weren't when reading the long walls of texts .

Yeah, Kite's death really threw me for a loop. I had to stop watching for a while and recover because it shocked the hell out of me.
-
I don't really remember nen being that cleanly defined or at least they weren't when reading the long walls of texts .
It was literally the beginning explanation on what nen is when Wing taught killua and gon. Biscuit added a few more layers to it in GI but pretty much every ability concerning nen was clearly defined from the get-go. Hell this was way earlier than any appearance of the walls of text
-
Some other nuances when Kurapika was learning how to make his chains and work around his personal limits, but… yeah. nen' and how it's abilities work has been defined extremely well since it first appeared.
Gon saying "I give up my life and future potential right now to have enough power to kill this one guy" is the same thing as Kurapika being able to "make a chain that is completely unbreakable... but only when used on the spiders or else I die."
The strongest most broken powers have lots of little caveats and loopholes and more complex rules and backlash and sacrifice... but that's what allows them to be so broken.
But the basics haven't changed since it was first explained back in the tower, before even York New.

Pariston's sparkly smiles are hialrious. -
Pariston's sparkly smiles are hialrious.Man, you beat me to it!
This new opening was done really well. I enjoyed the shading style they used a lot. -
Gotoh, Leorio ( punching, of course ), Morel, Pariston, Tsubone… I love it, probably my favourite opening animation on the series.
