RE: Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
I think it's the baby nen guardian that is causing the dried up corpses problem. While the baby was not in the room, the nen guardian could have roam around killing the guards.
Looks like it because those guards that were killed might have been double agents. Add in also the fact that nen beasts produced by the pot are supposedly based on the person's likeness. Like for instance, the King's guardian looks like a mosaic of tits and a vag for a mouth because of his lustful nature. If the same were applied to the baby, sucking someone dry to feed itself can still be attributed to the baby.
But the holes in the bodies still puts me off though.

@Zp1:
I don't think Hisoka is going to be permanently wounded here. If anything, I think this is where it'll come out that Hisoka has some type of Nen ability that allows for regeneration of body parts. His long con back earlier in the series was making people think that he didn't have a way of regeneration (all the way up to requesting nen stitches, etc) as part of longer scheme of deception.
I agree. As a Transmuter, he has a 80% efficiency on Enhancement and since he already has two Hatsus (Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise) that can do both offensive and defensive actions, why not have a Hatsu that wouldn't take too much toll from the 20% deficiency.
Boost attack? Nope. Boost defense? Nope. Boost speed? Nope. Heal? Pwidi, piro dipindi.

RE: Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
Well I was half asleep when I wrote that, but regardless in my opinion his ability is inefficient in combat because it doesn't seem to boost Leorio's fighting skills in any way or form. If enemy gets close to him and engages him to real combat then I don't see how his ability would give any kind of help. Except if like I said he can use it on alive beings as well in order to lead his attacks through body to hit vital organs, which would allow him do to critical damage just by touching his opponent. That and maybe if he can put conditions for his attacks to set up traps. Either way judging from pictures his attack is slow, not powerful and doesn't boost any basic fighting skills in any way. The only effficeint way to use it seems to be running away from enemy and sending attacks from safe distance. Just my opinion.
It is not yet revealed if Leorio learned the "advanced techniques" of Nen (Ko, Gyo, En, Ryu, Ken, etc) but if he did, he could use Ko to enhance the damage of the long-ranged punch/kick. Add in the 80% efficiency in Enhancer type Emitters like him have, a Ko-enhanced long-range punch/kick is still something anyone would hate to receive.

RE: Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
Well, considering that Gon got his massive and unwarranted powerup due to his grieving for Kite, you can probably name it as some sort of nakama power, especially in view of how overwhelming the power he unlocked was. And giving the disparity of his previous fighting strenght and the new one displayed against the previous almost invincible Pitou, it may give way to speculation that this nakama powerup really did not know any boundaries and would have enabled him to go directly against the king as well (if you argue, that the possibility of Gon succeeding against Pitou with his "normal" strenght was roughly the same as someone on Pitou's level succeeding against Meruem).
He also cleverly tied the supposed backlash of Gons powerup and the supposedly desastrous healing of this backlash via Nanaka, -as we all know resolved through the terrible explanation of Killua being able to use Allukas powers for free because both liking each other- into his criticism of Togashis use of nakama/friendship powers.
As you see, phoenixboosh actually presented a very deeply thought-out argument in the purest and simplest way possible.
One's Nen and Hatsu can be boosted by 3 options…
1. Emotion(s).
2. Using a Vow. There are 2 types of Vows; a Normal Vow and a Vow made out of one's emotion(s) or has a great meaning to the user. The latter produces more boost than the former.
3. Putting a Limitation to one's Vow.In Gon's fight against Pitou, he only used 2 of those; Emotion and Vow.
Gon's deep hatred against Pitou was very clear to the point that the JaJankenRock he tried to use on Knuckle paled in comparison to the JaJankenRock he tried to use on Morel who he imagined was Pitou. Plus the only training he received was "Use Ren for 3 hours daily" training and that was even before his last fight with Knuckle and even way before the "Morel is Pitou" incident.
As to the Vow Gon made, it was the latter type of Vow. The Vow he made was to "I don't care if this the end. I'll use everything." and made that Vow to kill the Ant he hates most.
As for Alluka/Nanika, he's a Specialist who IMO made stricter and complicated Vow and Limitation to his Hatsu. I have these ideas though on what these Vow and Limitation are.
Vow: He can only fulfill other people's wish.
Limitation: If anyone other than Killua tries to make a wish, then the following conditions must apply. (Grant 3 requests of Nanika then get wish; Next person to make wish receives the "weight" of the previous person's wish through the requests; If person fulfilling a request dies, the "weight" of requests to be asked goes back to 1; etc).

RE: Hunter x Hunter II
I think Judgment Chain is really OP if you have no idea what it really does but once someone gains knowledge on JC's pros and cons, it can be a bad move to use. Hence must be the reasons why a) The Genei Ryodan was trying to gain some info on the "chain user" after being able to take down a powerful Enhancer and; b) Kurapika made Chain Jail a Spider-exclusive skill to make Judgment Chain more effective against a Spider.
If I'm not mistaken the steps in using Judgment Chain are (The 2nd and 3rd steps can be interchanged based on what I saw during the Uvogin and Pakunoda incident)…
1. Enter Emperor Time
2. Use Judgment Chain.
3. Tell the target the conditions (max: 2) s/he must follow. The con though on entering Emperor Time is that on a prolong or repeated use, it takes a toll on Kurapika's body as seen during the start of the Greed Island Arc where he suffered a high fever for days after using Judgment Chain twice on one day (Paku and Chrollo on the airship).

RE: Hunter x Hunter II
Wait, the movie is out?
Next month here in the Philippines.
All the movies we get in our movie theaters are subbed. As long as you dont sit in the first few rows from the screen it's not a problem.
Thanks for the tip.

RE: Hunter x Hunter II
Anyone already tried watching a subbed Japanese movie on the big screen? Is it still the same as watching it at your home or does it suck? The 2nd movie is coming out in cinemas next month here in the Philippines.

@RobbyBevard:
Trigun is a weird example to list since Trigun was like 70% filler. The first several episodes were made up from scratch, then only a handful were based on the manga… (I want to say 5-12?) and then it introduced the gung-ho-guns and then proceeded to go completely it's own direction. Largely because the manga wasn't very far yet, but... probably 19 episodes out of the 26 were completely made up.
Devil May Cry too.
That was an adaptation of a videogame seres which didn't have much to do with events of the individual games in said series.
It also sucked.
Thanks for the clarification guys.
im just really sad that we will never be able to see what ging is all about :( is he strong is he not, i was so curious watching anime when bisky said hes top 5 nen users, could he take on hisoka blablal
The fact that he was able to "capture" a fugitive of Razor's caliber says something about Ging's abilities as a fighter. Remember that scene in the GI arc where Goreinu (an Emitter so using a long ranged Nen enhanced object would be no problem for him) applies Shu on a ball then throws it at him but Razor just catches the Nen enhanced ball with one hand and what's more interesting is that he wasn't even using Ken or Gyo to protect his hand from catching a Nen enhanced object? That scene alone sends a message to the viewers Razor's something formidable, so Ging must be someone not to be taken lightly too.
Not sure if this has been posted before, but I saw it and thought it was pretty cool
Lolz! I can't help but remember the reaction of a fan who compared the "anime time" of HxH and DB after this week's episode. 3 mins was equivalent to 1 episode in HxH while in DB 5 mins was equivalent to 10 eps (referring to Frieza destroying Planet Namek)
