Hisoka being an excellent nen user shouldn't matter because there are a few good nen users who have died already, and there will be more as the series continues. Shalnark was beaten to death. Why didn't he try and yolo himself back to life? Bringing Hisoka back the way he did opens that door for any high level nen user. It was just a badly executed plot resolution.

The difference is that Shalnark wasn't even in a state of mind to even make a decision such as that.. He literally got blind sided and killed instantly.

Didn't seem like Ging revealed his Hatsu since he basically told Pariston that he had to try a little harder than that to Reveal Ging's power.

Actually Ondera's comment was a bit different and a bit more specific about whats going to happen in this arc.

That actually crossed my mined. I wouldn't be surprised if Gon's character arc revolves around meeting Gyro somehow.

i would say gyro is an interesting character with very little screen time he had.

I've always heard things about Hunter X Hunter, but I was always too nervous to watch it. Mainly because I can't stand series where the good guys do nothing but show off and be badass all the time and the villains are utter crap.

So I was wondering if any of the villains in HXH are badass and, more importantly, if any of them are really clever and cunning. That's pretty much what I always wonder when I'm curious about watching a new series. Whether the conflict and opposition to the main characters are any good.

Yes, you'll definitely like it then. One of the strong suits of Hunter x Hunter are how well the antagonists/villians are developed and i would dare say some may become your favorites.

I wonder what Ging meant when he told Gon there is a price to pay if he want his nen back. Also, will Gon mature intellectually after he's done with all his homework and hanging out with mito.

I'm sure Gon is gonna make an appearance, he's to legit of a character to leave out.
