Noooo!! Nooo!!!
Hahaha but seriusly thats funny love that theroy
Chapter 749: Rascals attack!
-
-
Sigh. Thats why I like this place much less nowadays.
-
HxH is back and this people with nosense theories still here, I don't understand.
Be careful bro. I still have the discussion, where you argue for 3 pages that Luffy could not have done this without the Gomu Gomu, in my memory.
I dont believe for a second that the guy in the flashback (or in c0) is Corazon. Its clearly a younger Doffy. It wouldnt make sense to have the old shichibukais at Rogers Execution except Doffy, who is replaced by his brother who coincidently wewars the same style of glasses. Young Doffy in chapter 0 doesnt look any more different from his current look than the other shichibukais do.
Yeah I get your point. But I think Oda draw the panel this way for a reason. It's not just an other random Doffy face.
@Miss:
You think Doflamingo will reveal his twin before or after Kaido drops the Meadows disguise and joins in the fighting?
He is already here.
-
Great chapter.
Shadow of the Pica time. Abdullah and Jeet were the highlights of this chapter for being so damn funny.
Zoro vs Pica happen after all. Or will it…? Who knows?Doffy loves killing off his family members. I'm intrigued about the ties between Doffy and Corazon and what may have lead to such an incident.
-
I read One Piece before I read the chapter of Hunter x Hunter that came out after a 2 year+ hiatus.
Looks like I made the right choice. Very good chapter. (Compared to Hunter's decent and admittedly interesting chapter)
-
I hope Oda makes a speed recovery and gets lots and lots of ice cream.
Maybe he'll come up with the idea for an ice cream Devil Fruit.
-
Well a random bas Guy killed a random good man. Good Job,Oda you can't make good fights for the mugis in3 arcs and no your are writting some randoms story
-
It doesnt. If Doflamingo took over Corazons body, why would the nose and chin suddenly become flatter?
Why would a guy named Corazon wear the animal themed flamingo suit before Doffy took over his body?
How would Doffy take over someone elses body?i dont understand this theory. Plus, Oda did draw Doffy as a child and it resonates with his current look.
The body swap theory has to do with the string fruit's puppet function completely rewriting another body. In that one the child version of today:s Doffy was Corazon's body. Or visa versa. At some point they swapped & today's Dofla was Cora.
Or they're brothers that dress alike. 3 weeks to find out.
-
All of the theories are fascinating though, whether they make you think, amuse you, or make you groan. I really enjoyed the one just referencing that there are always two jokers in a full deck which Doffy is clearly not playing with at present. As for the one about Chapter 0, it would be amazing, but I would feel like I've been trolled more than that time I went and read Level E, I mean sheesh!
In any event, it's nice to have the potential for the backstory even with the three week interval (get well soon Oda!). Finally, there's hope!
-
Also worth pointing out the pointy chin fella closer resembles Mr. Punch, the homicidal puppet from the UK.
-
the chin says it all :D
but we dont know whats going on in oda's mind now
oda sensei get well soon

The topnokt is missing on the nigga[hide][/hide]
-
Corazon really reminded me of
-
Its clearly Doflamingo in the flashback picture. Why would Corazan and Doflamingo wear the exact same glasses and Coat? Corazon wearing a flamingo feater coat doesnt even make sense, in Doflamingos case its a reference to his animal theme name.
And a flashback with two guys looking and dressing identicly except the other has a sharper nose would be extremley confusing.
Thank. You.
Well a random bas Guy killed a random good man. Good Job,Oda you can't make good fights for the mugis in3 arcs and no your are writting some randoms story
Wait, am I missing something or you just called Doflamingo a "random bad guy"? And his fashback, you consider it a random story?
Ok. . .

-
Corazon actually killed Doflamingo, and is the real Ito Ito no Mi user, and both bodies of Doflamingo that we see are puppets

I would actually love this, crazy though it may sound.

What are you even saying? Doflamingo is not a random bad guy at all. He was established over 500 chapters ago. Corazon isn't some random good guy, we don't even know if he was completely good. We don't know anything about Dofla's past. In your case then that means everyone in this manga is random because I don't see how you can look past that Dofla is probably the most important villain in this manga so far. And really? The fights? One Piece may be action but is rarely focused on solely action. You also are looking over the fact that the fights haven't even begun yet and that this is shaping up to be the most chaotic and brutal in terms of one on one fights.

LawxCorazon OTP.
-
I can't reconcile Law's fascination with the will of D, his ambition to be the pirate king with this desire to avenge a celestial dragon! He seems politically confused for an allegedly smart guy. Luffy by contrast appears far more coherent and that is saying something.
Possible motivation for Mingo. If he was blackmailing the WG by being the head of the Donquixote family. It makes sense that he would kill his brother if he feared the WG would make a deal to make Cora the new head and get rid of troublesome Mingo.

Well he didn't know about the whole Celestial Dragon thing
Which brings another sort of "Why didn't Robin tell Luffy" conundrum that should be answered soon

…Are people only allowed to wear clothes that relate to their names?
"If Garp's surname is Monkey then why does he wear a dog mask?!"lol thanks for that funny but true comment.
Also why does people think that if one character has a animal theme then no one else can have it? I point to Dalmatian of the Marines who always appear like this=… he looks like he's wearing a dog mask and less like the hybrid form of a zoan. But as you pointed out, wearing a dog mask was Garp's thing first. For all we know Doflamingo and Corazon may have dressed alike just to confuse people lol
@Demonicpoodle:)
dang I can't stop looking at your bobble head avatar

This would be fantastic! And I would mind being messed with in that event either for some strange reason. XP

jeet and abdullah reminds me of the guys from water7
-
Fun but standard fight chapter with a surprising bit of info at the end which the spoiler already told us. Meh. Not bad, not great. Looking forward to future chapters though! Enjoy your break Oda, you deserve the rest!
-
Why did ODA show us a panel of Doflamingo why not show a silhouette of Corazon. My guess is the pointy doflamingo in the panel is indeed corazon. He is doflamingo older twin brother
-
Corazon is Sabo. 13 years ago Sabo died. Law is Stelly. He witnessed Donquixote kill Sabo! :ninja:

The Chin? That's what Doflamingo looked like.

1. Corazon is younger than DD. 2. That was post skip Doflamingo drawn more sinister looking.
-
I have to wonder about how good or evil Corazon is in comparison to Dolflamingo and how young Corazon is . I'll wait till We actually see the flashback to see what tv tropes applies to him. I do like the theories so far about him . I think, He can't be that much of a good guy. He either knew about his brother killing their father or he didn't . And I'm guessing, Dolflamingo was building up his power at the time .
-
Great Chapter. My favorite part was when luffy blew Pica's face off. Oh and Hunter X Hunter is finally back :)
-
Pica really built himself up. Did he underestimate the opponents or is he that cocky? I know he hasn't been beaten yet, but it seems like a forgone conclusion that Zoro will destroy him in his "human" form.

Hold it, I know that its an safe bet to say that Zoro will win. But, the other side of the coin is that Pica might still have a few tricks up his sleeve and just might give Zoro a good fight. I think that Pica got ticked that Zoro called him a soprano bastard .
After all, Pica's berserk button is making fun of his voice. -
His coat, his glasses, his nose, his chin and his hair are all pointed and sharp!
It doesn't look like Doflamingo to me.
You guys gotta be kidding me…

The thing that most of you poeple haven't paid attention to ( to my surprise cause even the least important shit gets discussed here!!!!!)is that why are Abdullah and jet with them, I'm certain it's not for the FUN, they are bounty hunters maybe they are needed to recognize someone that luffy doesn't know or …., but seriously why the hell are they with luffy , and taking in account the fact that they , unlike pretty much every one in the "rascal army", haven't been given proper build ups and are weaker in comparison to the others, SO WHAT DOES ODA WANT TO DO WITH THEM

maybe:
- Provide Dofla something to distract Luffy with by falling victim to strings.
- They were bombers. Maybe something will need bombing.
- Comedy relief.

It will be interesting. Seeing as how this arc seems to be all about hero-worship Law's devotion to Corazon plays right into that. Whether he was worth it is another matter.

My guess is they're going to just be comic relief fodder.. Sort of like Buffalo… Diamante and Trebol will one shot them and then they will fight their real opponents.

The Great Corazon Debate of 2014
Preceding the Great Kanjuro and Manshelly Debates.
But seriously, Law's shambles was only used for fan service and comedic purposes so far. Oda might have introduced this ability earlier in order to make use of it now as a plot device…or not!
-
I haven't read through this thread to see what others have said, but cmon Oda! I feel like he's questioning our intelligence by giving Zoro only swordsmen fights/
-
Corazon is alive, Dragon's brother(Luffy's uncle) saved him, his name is Monkey D. Stalin it's gon be a different type of revolucionary, a commie.
Then Cora joined his army and we will see him later on, meeting with Law again.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Everything fits even better than a puzzle!
-
There we go again with vagabond arguing with clear translations. Mingo killed his own brother, I believe that is clear enough.
I admited its my bad one post above.
There is possibility that Mingo didnt killed his brother "by his own hands" but killed him using some kind of plan.
!
Doflamingo said that Laws grudge is somehow injustified so I dont think it was as simple as one guy kills his brother and it might be bit more complex. Law seen Birdcage many years ago and knew what it means.
Still I cannot wait for Vergos third introduction- at fist he was introduced as Mystery Man, second time he was introduced as Commander of G5 New World Marine base Vice Admiral Vergo so now its time for introducing Pirate Vergo and what he did to Law that traumatized Law so badly that he reacted to Vergo like that after 13 years from when Vergo did something to him
!
!
!
Law was pretty much shocked more than at any other time we seen him till now. He didnt reacted to Bridcage as bad as to Vergo appearing.
So something really nasty from Vergo should be shown really soon. Ah and his eyes without shades would be a sight to see as well before we would get to see Mingos eyes around end of Dressrosa arc.For my metal paramecia Vergo theory haters:
I think that Law might be shown getting his legs and arms broken by Vergo after badmouthing/hiding something from Doflamingo/ Vergo when Corazon gotten killed somehow.
Law might have already had his Devil Fruit power and Vergo didnt even had to use haki as Laws power might have been too weak to cut metal at time when he was just a little boy.
That might add some sense to Vergo underestimating Law SO BADLY at end of Punk Hazard arc. -
He can probably control the giant while he's fighting. Swordsmanshipwise, he can't possibly beat Zoro, so he will probably have no other choice. I'm expecting a fight in the style of when you meet Chronos in God Of War 3.
On a related note: how many people are better swordsmen than Zoro at this rate? Mihawk is a given, but how many possible contenders can he still have?
I'd vote
Rayleigh
Vista
FujitoraDid I miss anyone?
They are in the New World now, i'm sure there are plenty of top tier swordsman out there that we've not come across, we know there prolly Marine VA's that are very highly skilled, there was that guy from Shanks' crew that we saw back at Marineford - he had a sword as well, 1 would except he is very skilled too given he's 1 of the top members in the Red Hair Pirates, and we've not gotten to Kaidou's crew maybe there is sum1 in there, oh and we can't forget the Shogun of Wano country, he's bound to be an absolute monster as well with a sword, and that country is prolly gonna have some pretty powerful swordsman in their own right that Zoro would not just walk over…..
-
What's funny with this chapter is that I realized Pica's reveal of sword > Kenpachi's bankai reveal. I have no problem with Pica being a swordsman / sword user. He quickly acknowledged that him being a stone giant was ineffective against Luffy's group so fighting at human form is inevitable.
-
I haven't read through this thread to see what others have said, but cmon Oda! I feel like he's questioning our intelligence by giving Zoro only swordsmen fights/
Zoro hasn't really ever really fought with a straight up swordsman like himself, though.
Cabaji, Daz Bones, Braham, Kaku etc. all use unconventional weapons to fight Zoro.
Even the actual "swordsmen" he's fought have always had something interesting going for them, like being fishmen or zombies.
The only fight he's had with a "regular" swordsman was with Mihawk, and that wasn't even a real fight.
-
It still feels cheap to see Pica use a sword all of a sudden. At least hint towards it somewhere so it doesn't feel this awkward. Frankly, I would've preferred him using his powers creatively instead of relying on a sword that likely won't do shit against Zoro.
-
the allies of luffy is so badass.
and the most epic scene was the flashback can help but to think a lot. -
Corazon Is Doflamingo's twin okama brother.
