Interesting… definitely going to try that next time around.
And you totally should film it. A whole new generation of MM players (the tweens who get it on 3DS) will thank you ;)
What are you Playing?

Now all they have to do is release the damn thing on 3DS… if my Wii or Gamecube or N64 were still plugged in I'd be tempted to just go do it right now.
-
Finished a Thief fan mission and a Dark Mod fan mission, both made by the same person and part of the same continuity. Next couple missions by the guy are labeled XL size while the ones I played were small to small-ish medium sized levels. And they were already decent size.
-
Just got started on Murdered: Soul Suspect.
Seems very promising. Only played the first chapter or so, but it has some cool mechanics and I've always been a sucker for a good crime story. Definitely worth sticking with.

Trying to tie up loose ends in Sleeping Dogs.

Disney Magical World-3DS

Beat Transistor. I liked the setting, the music was cool and the gameplay was fun but I left it feeling it was missing… something.

MOTHER 3, I'm currently on chapter 7. This theme is the catchiest thing I've ever heard:

It's great to be sure (pretty much all Mother 3 music is) but in terms of enemy themes I love this mix:
-
That is wonderfully upbeat for enemy music.

Lovely lovely, I like that one as well. As you say, the music's excellent, this one is another of my favourites:
The humor is also pretty sweet, kudos to the guys who did the fan translation. Quite the peculiar games, I'll begin Earthbound as soon as I finish this one.
-
That song is actually from Earthbound too, so you'll get to hear it again. It's got the humor too. :)
-
Cool :D
On another note, I just received the Super Mario 3D World soundtrack that I purchased a while ago in Club Nintendo, I'm gonna listen to it now :]

The best way to play Mother 3 is to absorb yourself with its wonderful flavor text. Just go around talking to everyone(or almost everyone) in every chapter and even checking stuff. It's sort of amusing what you can find as chapters progress. To me, the world and background characters are probably more interesting than the main plot…. even tho my attatchment to it made me really depressed after the game was over.

I was trying to take things slowly just as you say, but then I checked out the Handbook ( which is awesome by the way, you should check it out if you haven't already, it's clearly done with great care and love for the game: http://handbook.fangamer.com/page1.html#spread_nav ), only to see I had missed lots of stuff I hadn't even payed attention to, the game is really packed with detail :P
I have just completed the Chimera Lab, it's a pity Salsa can't stay on the party, what a cute monkey. I'm probably going to feel a bit sad just like you when I finish the game, it's happened to me before.

Is Link's Awakening good?
-
Been "playing" Pokemon Y, but really all I'm doing is a couple hours of wonder trading each evening. Which as someone pointed out to me, is about as close to being in a non-gaming mood as you can get without actually getting there. So basically I'm in a holding pattern until something else comes along.
-
Is Link's Awakening good?
Yes, it's very good. One of the better handheld Zelda games.
-
Is Link's Awakening good?
Absolutely.
Why are you wasting time in this thread instead of playing it!?LA > OoA/S together > OoA > OoS > Link to the Past now with wall-crawling mechanics > WW-style garbage titles
-
@CCC:
Capcom handheld Zeldas > WW-style garbage titles
I'm curious what your opinion on Minish Cap is then.
As for what I'm playing, I actually am in the middle of a run through of Ages, as well as Awakening. I'm going to move on to Seasons afterwards and transfer the data.
-
Minish Cap was eh.
Fun while it lasted, but entirely unmemorable. Kinstone fusing was obnoxious and makes me never want to try 100%ing it again. -
Dude CCC… I have the exact, literally exact same ranking of handheld Zelda games as you. Minish cap was a very fun game but super short and yes ugh fusion. It comes in ahead of the "WW-style garbage titles" though.
-
Okay, so should I play the DX version?
-
Yes. The DX version is in color and has a bonus dungeon that gives you a bonus item. Otherwise it's the exact same game (well, they also originally added a Gameboy Camera thing, but who cares).
-
Is Link's Awakening good?
Yes. There's some annoying little things about it, but I personally think it's the best Zelda game. imo.
-
Just beat Abe's Odyssey, Mega Man X and got all stamps in mario kart 8 today. My summer run through of my backlog has started well
-
Ever since May 30th, I've been playing nothing but Mario Kart 8 and having a blast. At this point, though, there's nothing left for me to do other than unlock the gold glider, and since there's no coin counter, I have no idea how many coins I need before I get to 10,000, so I've decided to not worry about it and let it unlock when it unlocks. Of course, playing with some of you guys has also been fun, and I look forward to more frantic online matches in the future.
Given that I've done practically everything in MK8, I decided to go back to my play-through of Majora's Mask, only for the disc to keep freezing after I've made a good amount of progress. With the way MM's save system works, it means you stand to lose plenty of progress due to one unfortunate freeze, which has happened to me twice now. Because of that, I've decided to abandon this play-through and start over once I can buy the game on the Virtual Console or if Nintendo finally decides to remake it. Fuck you, scratched Collector's disc.
Luckily, I have Pikmin 3 from the MK8 free game promotion, so it looks like I'll be moving on to that…
-

Heh… I guess you're right. The traditional d-pad controls alone put it leagues ahead.
-
Link's Awakening is one of my favourites, I played it over and over as a kid.
I never did play Phantom Hourglass, but you have no idea how much I hate that train in Spirit Tracks. I get angry just thinking about it
-
Super Mario 3D World. Oh my goodness, what a fun and beautiful game.
-
Got into that Battlefield cops and robbers game beta. I do kind of enjoy Battlefield's multiplayer and this is essentially the exact same thing but that's the problem that keeps me from getting it. They're just going to release a new game a year later that I would have to buy. And in the meantime they're releasing paid map packs that are just splintering the community. This beta at least runs better than BF4's beta. Don't know if that's due to optimization or toning down of graphics.
-
I took a break from Watch Dogs to try this Destiny Alpha. I haven't experienced any of the MMO qualities yet, so it seems like a pretty standard FPS so far. I'm going to play again later and hopefully I will run into some other players.
-
I've been playing Pikmin 3 for the past few days, and it's quite fun, if a bit frustrating. There's nothing more annoying than having to double back for Pikmin that got stuck in some cranny because they weren't following my path correctly (especially since it tends to happen when there's very little daylight left)…
-
angry birds epic..nice little RPG version

I just started it and played about an hour, doing the first two days. Even I already experienced that. During the day they seem to follow fine even if I get way ahead, but then near sunset they turn stupid. I'm liking the stylus controls although I find it annoying to hit the whistle icon. I foresee a lot of me going OCD when having to multitask and send different guys in different directions to accomplish things fast.
-
Since Smash isn't coming out for another 4 months, I decided to use my eshop balance on Kid Icarus Uprising instead. I heard that the game used the stylus a lot but I didn't know it would be needed the entire time! That really took me by surprise. There are different control configurations that only use buttons but those seemed like real hassles so I'm sticking with the stylus-intensive set. After doing 6 chapters of the game(and replaying the earlier ones on harder difficulties) my only problem with the game is avoiding hits in those small/narrow rooms and areas. Dodging isn't as much of an issue as turning around to see what needs to be dodged. Other than that minor(major?) problem, I'm enjoying the game so far.
! I love the little achievement for dying your first time

Finished all the jobs in Sleeping Dogs. Now I just have a few events and favors to complete and then I need to find all the collectibles and I should have 100% completion. This is really the only game I've ever bothered trying to 100%.
-
Im stuck with J-Stars Victory VS as of current.
Planning to replay my Pokemon Y (no idea Y).AAaaaaaaaand…... Trying my best to unlock everything in Mario Kart 8..
-
Just got a few collectibles and side missions left in Sleeping Dogs.
Also started up Silent Storm again and beat the first mission. Second mission is you starting in a small room full of enemies and needing to shoot your way out. Kind of harsh for the second mission of the game.

Qbeh-1: The Atlas Cube. Just got it on Steam for ~$3.50. Interesting little puzzle game. Really like the environment and ambiance. Haven't felt very challenged yet, but I only just began, so we'll see how it goes.
Also been playing through Halo: Combat Evolved again. Been doing a chapter or two each night. Not much to say about it, just felt like playing a FPS, and I decided to go with an old favorite.
-
I finished Pikmin 3 today. Despite it being inherently stressful for me as a completionist to micromanage and split groups up, on top of the time limit on each day, on top of the fruit limit… it was tons of fun. Once I amassed a stockpile of fruit I really just relaxed, took in the environments, farmed areas, and all the good stuff. And of course the actual story is designed really well with gradual Pikmin type introductions, puzzles of all sorts, and great boss enemies.
My only real complaint is the final level is really annoying. It was not what I wanted or expected from a last level. Though the boss battle itself was pretty cool, if incredibly chaotic. Other than that, some fine-tuning would be great. Like I don't know why they haven't implemented a feature to let you exchange or send off all Pikmin of a given type. Like if I need to destroy an electric barrier, give me a way to tell only my yellow Pikmin to charge the barrier...
-
Platinum'd Puppeteer yesterday which is a nice game. Don't really know what to play now.
I play some duels in Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels and filling my dex in Pokémon Y again after my Nuzlocke run.
Thinking about starting with Resident Evil 6 since it's on my PS3's hard drive for a long time.
-
I just bought Witcher 2 for 3,99 € (Thank you Steam Summer Sale!).
I always wanted to check it out because i heard people say it's really good and the trailer looked nice. So i'm looking forward to playing it after the 5 hours it takes to download …
-
You can input your game code into GoG and get a GoG copy too. Make sure to turn off Ubersampling too, if it's on by default (shouldn't be, maybe if you set the preset to ultra) because even the highest end GPUs out right now can just barely run the game at 60 fps with it on.
-
Well now, after some a lot of PC RPGs and console games, I'm hooked to this mobile game called Brave Frontier (WARNING: Fucking addicting! ).
Sent from my Starmobile Diamond X1 using Tapatalk

Picked up CoJ Gunslinger and played it for a bit after finally getting my mouse to work after a bit of fiddling (restarting my computer fixed it actually). Pretty fun. I like how stylized it is, where if you shoot someone in the head they'll go into slow motion with all the blood flying into the air and stuff.

Marathoning all of main Metal Gear games .
-
Played and beat Ground Zeros. Pretty cool and fun. Love MGS. Glad I didn't pay full price though. It would have felt like a ripoff to me for $30 or however much the next gen version was.
-
I finished the Dedede Tour mode in Kirby Triple Deluxe and I want to collect all the suns stones now that the Dedede mode has been beaten. Simultaneously I'm playing Hokuto Musou for the PS3.
-
DuckTales Remastered. Bless you Steam sales.
