has slower pace than this chapter and has less stuff happening on it.
Holy shit. It's like someone told Oda that he will die very soon or that we will get crushed by a meteorite this same year or I don't know, but the chain of events is SO DAMN FAST I couldn't even believe my eyes.
"Here's some fruit, hey, I won, right? Right, I did. Now I'm eating it. Tastes bad. I'm fire now. FIRE FIST ATTACK! Getting downstairs. Usopp's a god now. Burgess, Diamante and Trebol, time to skedaddle outta here. Full Sabo reveal. Kyros throws Buffalo into the stratosphere. Luffy appears. Starts saving Law. Pica appears. Dofla is alive. Back-up plan in motion!".
All this in one chapter is kinda insane, and it hurts some aspects of the narration and the story telling. . .
That aside, it was pretty to look at, and I for one am not annoyed by Sabo being ubber and getting the fruit nor by his appearance. Burgess didn't look specially bad during the process, which was something potentially worrisome, and Diamante, Trébol and Pica are still 100% unscathed at this point, so I guess we will have a show down before everything is said and done.
All the match-up's and stuff so far have been rather chaotic, unfocused and atypical for One Piece's standard formula, so I guess Oda will settle now for the classic one-on-one's? Or will he just go for a totally different approach this time around?
And now, to wait two more weeks for the birdcage reveal. That's just cruel.
(Didn't entirely love the Usopp scene being an exact reenacment of Buggy. . .)
