Every day for 3 years is Happy Togashi Day.
Naruto and Bleach IV- Sexy time
-
-
Now that his Sailor Moon wife is going to start pulling in even more oil tankers full of money, Togashi can continue to put off being the primary breadwinner. Or being a breadwinner of any kind.
-
A series that has been on hiatus for two years straight is still more interesting than naurto and bleach combined.

The first few hundred chapters of Naruto is interesting….The Time-skip fucked it over big time.
And bleach... I just read it to hopefully see some really awesome shikai/bankai. Nothing else really.
Happy Togashi Day!

Happy Togashi Day! -_-
Nice to see someone finally draw blood from Madara. The One Piece reference was pretty cool too (Gai using Sky Walk)!
-
I…Is Guy the first person to actually damage Madara in this whole war?
-
Gui's final punch was bit underwhelming though…
-
Bleach is out: http://www.mangapanda.com/bleach/573/2
-
As soon as Naruto woke up I immediately thought "Welp, Guy's fun time is over".
-
Bleach; only about three pages worth content… surely kubo knows how to waste papers...
-
Classic Bleach.
The pacing is real.
-
first time in a while ive enjoyed a naruto chapter so much. finally some action. nice teamwork. also kamui works on onmyoudon :)
-
I despise the Bleach chapter solely because it confirms Unohana's death.
#JUSTICE4UNOHANA.
-
Good, someone beside Naruto and Sasuke from Konoha whos actually strong.
But, uhm, where is everybody? Were the kages defeated? Is there another foe somewhere? Are they fighting that tree thing? Shit, i dont remember anything. I blame Kishi drawing sky and ground as one: endless rocka 360%

So, Le opened the fifth/sixth? gate (which puts an enormous strain on the body and shoul leave him immobilized after)…..to throw a kunai?

I guess he couldn't follow or match the speed if he was normal. And the sequence doesn't have to be finished. The fight is still on.
Can't remember when was the last time I had fun reading a Naruto chapter. It's like Gai rejuvenated Naruto, if even a little.
Oh right, Bleach is retarded. Can't believe I looked forward to this chapter.
Isane - Where's Unohana?
Kenpachi - Dead, deal with it.2 panels, 3 or 4 max. On with the fight for fuck sake.
-
That wasn't half-bad. Gai kicking Madara around, being supported by some clever teamwork. The art is as atrocious as ever but this could be goo- Naruto wakes up- never mind.
-
I actually quite enjoyed this Naruto chapter, seeing someone except a super Naruto transformation being allowed to even rough up the big bad just a little is pretty refreshing.
We get the red beast of Konoha sacrificing his life for this power, the great team work and planning with Kakashi, Minato and Lee.
Ooh, Gai be smacking Madara around something awful! Madara doesn't seem to be that badly hurt, although he is exhilarated.
Can Gai launch one more attack and end the war, does he have enou- Oh, Naruto's awake.
A very good chapter by the standards of recent Naruto and Kishi manages to kill it stone dead with two completely out of place and unnecessary panels.
I'm surprised that I'm this surprised.
Bleach was just ridiculously slow and awful, even more so than usual.
-
Bleach: "I was expecting you, shinigami with a BS power level. Just for you I built this… cube?"
Also, shouldn't the kid be dead by now? Didn't the V Quincy turn all her bones into cookies?Naruto: I liked it. It was an okay chapter and bleeding Madara is fun to watch. That last panel, though...
-
I read Bleach just because lol and holy shit if it was written by any decent author he would have managed to shove all of that shit in 5 pages max.
-
Holy shit this Blergh chapter.
The first 8 pages are literaly NOTHINGNESS INCARNATE. The most pretentious, space-wasting compilation of panels on the entirety of the series. Holy shit. It was Kubo out-Kuboing himself. Woah.
I mean, for 8 pages straight we have Kenpachi from the back saying "YEAH". "SHE DIED". "I KILLED HER". And a mouth shot, too. Only needs some finger shot, and it would've the flawless.
The chapter was worth it just for how incredibly Kubo it was. The epitome of Bleach paneling.
Oh, yeah, the chapter was utter shit too. As expected, Kubo handling imagination powers is the most lol worthy thing ever. "With my super broken imagination powers, I'll imagine I have. . .Steel like skin! CREATIVITYYYYYYYYYYY!".

Lmao.
Yeah, expected something a little more wow. Like becoming a wraith, or imagining Kenpachi missed him or imagining gravity has increased and Kenpachi can't lift his sword, or imagining Krusty the clown throw a pie at Kenpachi's face to distract him…
Might as well imagine his own tombstone and just lie in it and wait for Ken-chan to kill him. -
Wow that was the best Naruto chapter in years. I could actually follow the action for once and the art was definitely better than usual.
Bleach sure was edgy
-
-
Bleach: Oh man, this is gonna hurt.
Kenpachi arrives blah blah, confirms Unohana is dead…...great, Kubo. I was holding out, kinda having some hope....and you crushed it. What an underwhelming way for Unohana, the 1ST KENPACHI mind you to go out. Creepy kid forms a....cube around the scene while Isane and Yachiru get out of the way.
I wasn't looking forward to this, considering it'd be Kenpachi's "haxness" versus an actual hax, but it'd be even worse if it has this awful pacing! Seriously, what the hell. This chapter was literally "Kenpachi arrives, says stuff, kid says stuff, one attack, dramatic sentence for cliffhanger". So many wasted panels! And again, this is technically hax vs. hax. It's like dividing by zero when Kubo's writing it.
Naruto: Well…..I liked this chapter, kinda.
The art was screwy as usual, but hey! A chapter of Gai beating the tar out of Madara. I could mostly follow the action, and there were some good panels. I am worried that next chapter Madara will completely turn things around and finish off Gai in the most lackluster way possible, but hey! It's always awesome to see an uber Uchiha in pain.
And Naruto wakes up. Woot.
-
Finally, Bleach breaks out the mouth close-ups.
Now we just need some foot action, and I can be emotionally invested!
-
It only took me like two minutes to read Bleach. And the chapter was disappointing…
Naruto was good. I will miss Guy.
-
Oh god, I was grinning so much reading this Bleach chapter. All of this was so stupid, so Kubo, it was hard to comprehend. I mean - what about the whole "your bones are cookies" thing? Why did Kubo create a being that can imagine ANYTHING?! And, most of all, why did the being that can think of anything and make it reality did think "my body is harder than the toughest steel" instead of "my body is indestructible"?!
And, guys, don't get me wrong, but I'm just tired of Kenpachi. He literally has absolutely nothing in him, he's a cool fighting machine. It's hard to build up him showing up when I have no emotional connection to the guy - he only slashes stuff and throws the most Kubo lines all the time.
And the pacing of the chapter, oh god, I'm sure Oda would punch Kubo in the face for shit like this - this is NOT stylized, Kubo! This is shitty pacing! You throw too much "design" where actual action should be!
Oh, yeah, and Naruto was okay. Just okay. Yeah, Gai did stuff and that made him super strong, he attacked the main baddie, but… well... See, guys - Kishi fucked up big time. Naruto has no attack that's cooler than Gai's Eight Gates, but since Madara has plot armor, Gai won't kill him and it'll all be really underwhelming when Naruto does it in a shitty way. This is THE SAME as Lee's fight with Gaara. Yes, we all knew that Gaara would win, but at least we had some build-up to it - Lee wanted to attack Neji with it, he went full on and pushed Gaara to his limit, we had reactions, we had huge explosion when Lee's attack connected, it was all well played. Here? We have thousands of people, no reactions but few, the attack wasn't as spectacular (it... looked the same as when Lee was punching Gaara in the air) and since we already know Gai can't do shit - it's just pointless. But cool, yeah.
-
I hope the fight progresses in the next chapter and we at least get a hint of what Kenpachi's Zanpakuto is all about.
If only the guy, forgot his name, went into Vollstandig right away, so there's no more waste of time…
Lol, sometimes I just crack myself up
-
Bleach: Well, as expected… Kenpachi is broken as fuck.
Naruto: Awesome. Unfortunately, as foreshadowed with the last panel of the last page, it's all downhill from here.
-
loved seeing Gai using geppou

Naruto only waking up in inner dimension,i bet he will see all the bijuus surrounding him…it will be another few chapters before he becomes battle ready, more if Kishi shows Sasuke's revival parallely ...

Naruto has 'that jutsu' left..right from the start of part II Kishi hyped it..though it will most likely come as Naruto's final jutsu and still a bit far off …
-
Somehow I think that if Naruto had an ace up his sleeve, he would have pulled it off already. I have a feeling Jiraiya was probably referring to the ninetails transformations before Naruto got a handle on them.
-

You mean the one Jiraiya told him not to use?
That was Kyuubi cloak most likely and Naruto ended up using it anyway. It's doubtful at best that Naruto never found himself in a situation to use a secret jutsu to save himself in all the time that passed since then
There was also "that jutsu" that the scroll frog mentioned to Jiraiya in the Rain country. Could be Naruto's current Super Saiyan mode or maybe even something else. But seeing how Minato can also use that mode, I think that's it. No more secret jutsus for Naruto.
And it would be best if he somehow found a way to defeat Madara with the skills and tools he already has at his disposal. Other tailed beasts will probably kick in.
-
I know I'll just be disappointed in the end, and that I'm rewarding bad behavior, but dammit I liked that Naruto chapter. The supporting cast came up with a plan that wasn't one of Kishimoto's usual Rube Golberg machines, Madara finally bled, Guy was the one who drew first blood, and I could actually follow the action! It's all going to go down the crapper, I know, but just let me have this one moment.
-
And as expected Gai's sacrifice only served to give Madara a hard-on.
That was a nice chapter for Naruto standard, but its a pity that Kishimoto's poisonous narrative corrodes even this.
-
Yup. Naruto was actually fun….till the last panel.
Bleach...I think that chapter had the least content...Such a waste.
-
I kinda liked Naruto's chapter this week. It was some nice teamwork and I could easily follow the choreography.
Bleach, though. How boring can you get? Nothing happened at all. The stage appearing out of nowhere didn't make a lick of sense (shouldn't we at least have some visual cue as to how far this imagination power extends?), and Kenpachi was dull as hell. You inherited the name "Kenpachi", eh? Woopty-friggin-do. And Yachiru shows up for a panel, only to be dropped off into oblivion. Couldn't Kubo at least have shown what happened to the others who were standing/lying there?
-
Uchiha Sasuke: the true wielder of the Rinnegan "chapter 675"
-
You really know a series is awful when a last panel return for the eponymous hero makes you go "ah fuck, he's back".
-
Zaraki is one of the few things Kubo has done right in this manga in years. Dare I say he's one of the baddest ma'F****** in manga history.
-
I liked this chapter of Naruto, everything flowed really well, and thankfully the dialogue was kept succinct. Naruto waking up on the last panel made me dread what feels are about to come.
Bleach was meh, Kenpachi's a badass but I don't think this is the best fight for him, he'll win but I'm not interested for now.

Meanwhile in Quincy Kindergarten:
"I can make things into bombs! Remotely, even!"
"That's wonderful, darling! And what can you do?"
"I'm invincible as long as I'm being cheered for!"
"Wow! And what about you, dear?"
"THE THINGS I IMAGINE BECOME REALITY!"
"Your parents must be so proud! And you, Uryuu?"
"…I can shoot a lot of arrows."
"...and?"
"It's a LOT of arrows, I swear!"

Guess which one of these has been chosen successor to all Quincydom
-
Naruto: Gai. One of the few characters that Kishi hasn't totally ruined. So, of course, seeing him lay smackdown on an awful villain like Madara is actually kinda cool (goofy art aside).
Bleach: Two incredibly broken powers collide! And no, it's not interesting, it's just stupid.
Also, LOL, that pacing. And remind me again how Kenny "inherited" that name from Unohana when he's already been using it for the entire series.
-
@Purple:

Obviously, he was chosen because he's the only one who can listen to the damn rules:
The latest batch of Quinzis haven't shown this particular side of their powers at all.

Exactly, nobody. WTF is up with that?!

yes,the same…
it is something Jiraiya taught him and he couldn't teach Naruto something like 'Kyubi cloak' which he himself never saw..i am fairly certain it was a jutsu whose basic can be learned without Kyubi mode, but need complete control over Kyubi chakra to perfectly execute it.....
for me it also means Naruto has a flashback left with Jiraiya and i can see him again...Jiraiya is my favorite character in Naruto... -
Naruto was pretty bittersweet. It was awesome seeing Gai beat the ever living hell out Madara and the action was pretty awesome. However, Kishi's playing to the annoying trope of a super strong guy only entertaining the big bad while the "hero" idles for 300 chapters. I mean come on, he's enjoying himself! This situation of life or death and he's eating it up like a fat kid with a kingsized snickers. That's insulting and has always been insulting, especially how Kishi has treated his side characters after all these years. So basically, both Lee and Gai are destined to fail no matter how hard they try or how strong they get, am I reading this right Kishi? Cause that's basically what you're writing.
Inb4 Naruto wins with Rasengan tecnique #47: Oveturned Ramen Bowl Rasengan. A giant dome on the outside and little noodle balls on the inside bouncing around.
