Bump.
Been meaning to post in here for a while now, and just never got around to it until now.
Rogues' Gallery: a collection of photographs of known criminals, used by police to identify suspects, or the collective grouping of a heroes' recurring super-villain foes.
Because ever since I was young, whether it be in Movies, Manga, or Video Games; I've always favored the villains and antagonists over the heroic characters
It's not like I sit down to a movie or start a new game with the intention of liking the villain from the outset or anything, It's just that by game/movie's end, I've (most of the time, but not always) found them more interesting, enjoyable, and more dynamic than the protagonists. I dunno why. Maybe it's because they have excellent character development, or they have a memorable personality, or got the best writing or outstanding character performance by an actor. Maybe their just that damn awesome. But at the same time, I Absolutely LOVE to see that respective villain get their comeuppance in the end and watch their downfall. It's my favorite part.
Yeah, I guess it's pretty much a Major case of You Love to Hate Them, or the Villain makes the Plot.
There are a handful of exceptions to this where the protagonist ends up being my favorite character, like Lara Croft from the New Tomb Raider, Ellie from The Last of Us, or lighthearted and comedic manga/anime where there's a complete absence of villains, such as Nichijou and Yotsubato.
Anyways, because I love villains so much, my Username is in honor to the pantheon of great villainous groups.
Oh, and if you were to ask me which Rogues' Gallery group is my favorite?
Batman's Rogues' Gallery for sure!
