Oda is a complicated guy but he uses very basic blocks of information to string a picture together. Let's say for a second Trebol does create the toys out of plastic (I say nope).
He doesn't then get to control the plastic independently from his body. Mr 3 didn't have wax robots. Thank you for your time.
Why Jinbe thought? Could be nice to see him an active role in the surrounding territory of Fishman Island, but he should concentrate on pleasing BigMam I guess.
He doesn't then get to control the plastic independently from his body. Mr 3 didn't have wax robots. Thank you for your time.
Paramecia have such a huge diversity of powers, your example does diminish the chance for him to being so by 0%. Already forgot Jora/Giola?
Jinbe i guess …
i don't think so..he has no need to care about doflamingo and kaidou's smuggling.
The temptation to look at the raw in the spoiler thread was strong, but I'm very glad I resisted. It made the chapter a far more enjoyable and satisfying read.
I loved the fact that he was thinking of the trash burning at Goa. It's always nice to see characters reflect like that.
Actually if you look at the flashback, it wasn't the day they burned the Grey Terminal but a 'normal day'. They dumped the trash from the Goa capitol into the Grey Terminal. Luffy is remembering how in Goa, people in the Grey Terminal were seen as non-human, as garbage. He was comparing the experience with what the gladiators said how losers were seen as garbage and hidden in the dark.
Look at what it says on these 2 pages; in the flashback it says that "the garbage is coming" and "look for treasures", those comments show it wasn't burning.

The burning of the Grey Terminal wasn't about hiding the 'human garbage' but a 'cleansing' both of the real refuse and the 'undesirables' that lived there.

Since Dressrosa was set on fire by Doffy more than likely, that will probably fuel Luffy even more.

It's the same concept as Moria's and shadows. Use your DF to take the shadows out and put them into corpses and they come to life. The Toy DF user builds the toy, puts something in and they come to life. Once it gets explained it'll be a simple concept. So whatever he puts into the plastic toy is what gives it life, not the plastic itself. Otherwise he wouldn't need humans to animate the toys.
I wish he does, but isn't Jinbe on his move to BigMam right now? Why waste such a strong fighter on a side mission? Okay it makes sense to send a strong one instead of multiple mediocre ones.
The way you say it is like Jimbie is going to attack or fight Big mom, nope, Jimbie works for Big mom..
i don't think so..he has no need to care about doflamingo and kaidou's smuggling.
Well, he still works for Big Mom. Maybe she is trying to take Kaido down.
So that shadowy figure on page 15 is that Doflamingo ancestor?
@.access:
Well, he still works for Big Mom. Maybe she is trying to take Kaido down.
he never said he works for big mom,the only thing she asked for her protection on fishman island was sweets, not jinbe.
jinbe was with whitebeard on his own accord, not because he was forced to because he was protecting fishman island.
He doesn't have to be a poly fruit user. Just have a fruit that is versatile or based off a toy gimmick. Putty slime is a very popular toy that is made out of a green gooey substance.
The fact that Trebol can change/doesn't have physical body already proof he's logia and logia's don't have special confusing powers like paramecia… Unless Trebol hides his real physical body and turns into a slime toy and goofs off- like Perona(she hides her real body and flies off with the fake ghostly body).

yep and the toy user isn't Trebol. Trebol doesn't have anything toy-like about him. No blocky features, no flamboyant moustache, no puppet mouth. He's a creepy slime guy.
Paramecia have such a huge diversity of powers, your example does diminish the chance for him to being so by 0%. Already forgot Jora/Giola?
Jora turned things into art. That's all there was to it from the chapter she got an intro box.

There's been no evidence of Trebol not having a physical body.
The visible slime might just be oozing out of him, because he produces it, not IS it.

always a possibility.
But the reasons behind the burnings are different from each other and don't relate like how both coutries saw the undesirable citizens as garbage.
Dressrosa= The city itself was burned to discredit King Riku, leading up DD's take over as new king.
Goa = The city itself wasn't burned, only the trash heap outside the city. It was burned to 'clean up' for the arrival of a Tenryubito. No change in ruling.
Awesome chapter, totally worth the wait!
As for Trebol, he was pretty much given a full page reveal as the toy master with no one else in sight, so it's reasonable to say he's making them. He probably does so by excreting glue, which would also explain his gloopy appearance.
the color spread is so awesome. also we get chibi Brook  finally numbering the SH in the order they joined
Very rich chapter. I tend to love it when bad guys are cool but right now, DD is not cool one bit. Stepped on too many toes. I thought he will survive this arc but now I doubt. Poor DD, he will be missed.
The big problem with Trebol's ability is that he shouldn't be able to erase traces of a person's existence.
I can buy his slime being able to turn people into toys, but the memory wipe must be done by somebody else entirely.

can he glue peoples souls into toys?

! The fact that he's dripping down like a slime/liquid means he has no physical body since I don't remember when ones physical body can drip(Mr3 and magalen couldn't even aswell) and then right on the same page his no longer slimy but physical we see his leg etc
! .
And the fact that he changed color, which indicates going from slimy non-physical body
! to physical body
! all point to logia.

So far the memory thing only applies to toys. If it was a seperate power they would memory wipe people that aren't toys. So it being someone else doesn't really make sense if you think about. Why limit your seperate memory altering ability to toys only?

Literally all can be explained just as easily by him being encompassed by the slime he produces.
Be aware, I'm still not certain as to this myself.
If Trebol IS a logia then the slime he becomes has the side-effect of being able to transform people into toys. I seriously doubt Trebol would be so heavily involved in the process of transforming people into and then programming toys if he wasn't responsible for the transformation.
I just think it's far more likely that he secretes this slime due to a paramecia ability and uses it to turn into toys, rather than having the logia/weird esoteric side-effect combo.
! .
huh It escape my notice when I first read that chapter … but he's barefoot. (look at the toes)
Yeah, its a small inconsequential item and not really important but I still found it funny to note
He has the qualities of a logia. So it would have to be a side effect type thing.

Either he turns them to toys or not, he was the one that gave that order that Sai obeyed. There is no way a Logia power can do that, only paramecia have gimmick effects like that. I still think he's a paramecia like Magellan but he's not dangerous like Magellan so he decides to activate and deactivates it randomly.
A chapter with many confirmations. But there is still some new stuff:
-The toys in the trash are still alive. At least we won't have to ask what happens to the spirit of those in the trash.
-Lepanto was a member of the Riku army and is working or Doflamingo because he is protecting someone. I wonder who Viola is. Maybe Violet who wa orce to change her name to hide her identity. But again the way toy soldier talks seems to imply Rebecca was the sole survivor o those Dofla wanted to kill.
-Hack is on a mission. I wonder or who. Maybe a broker who is wondering if Joker is still in control. So maybe a spy of Kaido.
-Barto finds Luffy. I wonder i he'll mange to talk
-Sai gets transformed into toy. I'm sure it was done by someone other than Trebol but that he was the one who took Sai. I wonder i his family have already forgotten about him.
So far the memory thing only applies to toys. If it was a seperate power they would memory wipe people that aren't toys. So it being someone else doesn't really make sense if you think about. Why limit your seperate memory altering ability to toys only?
That's exactly what happens…

If Trebol is the toy user then why would Jora talk like it some other random officer who has it? Anyways soon enough we find out, is what theory is meant for- you right sometimes, you wrong sometimes everyone moves on..
That's exactly what happens…
I worded that wrong. The memories are based around the toys. It's a toy related side effect. Why instead of some elaborate plot to discredit Riku, just mindwipe the people and make them forget about him. Why limit the ability to not remembering people that aren't turned into toys?
That's why every night the toys have to go back to the "Toy house" so Trebol can reprogram/or re-order them with new orders… That means his orders only lasts for awhile.. My theory though
I like that theory.
I'll keep bringing it up, but hypnotism is a legitimate thing in One Piece.
So are we not gonna talk about how Donquixote the ancestor looks exactly like Blackbeard…
I wonder if Oda completely ran out of character designs at this point or?..

Your research skills are too for me! I submit!
Error aside, I still liked him thinking of Goa in general. My memory was always bad when it came to the Luffy-Ace-Sabo flashback.

All she said was that a member of the Donquixote family had the ability to turn people into toys. There's no implication there that is or is not Trebol.

Both Jora and toy soldier put emphasis on someone being able to. I believe Trebol is solely capable of this, just my thought of it.
So the guys from Ka no Kuni are looking for the weapons cache and supplies that Dofla as Joker has been using to destabilise the surrounding nations by selling to both and all sides in various wars making massive profits…meanwhile we see Caribou on Kaido's favourite island uncover and eventually swallow a Weapon's factory.
what a tangled web Dofla and Oda has woven. I'm seriously impressed beyond words
Do we know what exactly is 'Reverie'? I'm starting to think the world government has nothing to do with it. Is it a collection of kingdoms that arn't with the world govnment? And if so how did Alabaster survive the 20 kings who originally formed the world gov.? Was it the ancient weapon mentioned in the alabaster poneglyphy that allowed them to stay in power after the formation of the world gov.? It seems the World Government really isn't as powerful as they think they are. I'm thinking the blank century is part of the war with the kingdoms that didn't join the world government and how they were able to stay in power. Thats why the World government erased the history. If the world knew how kingdoms such as Alabaster stayed in power everyone would do the same. No more World Gov.
I even fortold Ace's death after reading wikipedia about Ace of Spades being the card of death.
We are all very proud of you
Just kidding but i don't see why you comment that here and now
So, the rumors are confirmed but I don't think Trebol has the Toy-toy fruit, we might haven't seen all that happens with the toys, it's dark and I think that there are still many things uncovered. Anyway great chapter, as usual. I start to think that OP seems even better due to the fact that it goes out the same day than the duo of shame, so if you read the three the same day… well you can see the difference
Plus, Bartolomeo is great
Guys I don't think trebol is the one who is turning people into toys, the slime/sludge has to be some sort of fruit.
yeah, but it's more "natural",as in "he is her father,duh"..instead the story of the man who decide to protect a little girl because of his sense of duty and then grows more and more close to her dedicating his life to make her happy and ultimately risking his life for her sake ,seems more touching because not justified by "blood"
a father who tries to pretect her child or a complete stranger who still decide to protect and make happy a little girl even though he has no bond with her and no obligation to do so?
i found the later one more touching.
the first one is more touching. it's like having a cake in front of your eyes but you can't eat it because u have a bad throat.
i wonder why toy soldier didn't try to convince rebecca that he is her father. im sure rebecca would believe it. but it's not exactly that simple, i know. rebecca would hate him for letting her mother died, and maybe for him disappearing for almost the entire life of her.
It's definitely suspicious that Oda didn't show the transforming process at all.
While I said that I can buy Trebol being the toy-maker, the fact that Oda didn't show how it happened makes me really think that's not the case. There's a twist in there that Oda can't reveal yet.

Oh come on man, it's not like Oda graduated from the Tex Avery school of animation; he's still pumping out interesting looking characters after 700+ Chapters, which I can honestly say is not an easy feat in of itself. Besides, silhouettes are meant to be ambiguous.
The way you say it is like Jimbie is going to attack or fight Big mom, nope, Jimbie works for Big mom..
At Fishman Island he told Neptune that he wanted to cut ties with her, which would also free the Fishman Pirates from her hold. He wants to join Luffy after that, when everything is stable.
yay new chapter
ah, now all my question about this arc so far have been answered.
SH going fight along "fairies", gladiator, fighter from neighbouring countries, and riku loyal soldier. so doflamingo, marine, and cp0 wont be a problem (viva la revolution).
bartho keeps make me lol (i want to see how he manage to bring luffy to meet zorro)
good chapter
stand by for the next chapter
hmmm still no explanation on trebol. it just doesnt make sense how he could have both powers!
silly putty is a toy. also those things that look like yoyos that are made of goo are toys. maybe it has something to due with that
To have a devil fruit who is a logia, some kind of slime, transform people in toys and mess with their mind (erase memories, control movement) is pretty impossible.Someone else transforms people in toys and Trebol do the rest by having some kind of ameoba or parasite devil fruit or something related to biology. This is mi opinion.
