I almost want to buy the data books but I just can't read Japanese. The Color Walks can be enjoyed without needing to read.

It's not Viz but I just bought color walks 3-6 from an online store. Everything on the package box and writing was in Japanese. They included this nifty oragami fish with 'Thank you for your order' written on it. Makes me want to order something else from them someday.

Would suck if I was right. Imagine if Blackbeard really was looking for the human human fruit and learns that chopper had it. I have this horrible vision of luffy holding a lifeless raindeer.

Ah so an awaken zoan is a transformed human that simply forgot being human? Is that what might have become of momonoske if Luffy hadn't shown up?

Rewatched the drumm arc today and came to an idea. We know blackbeard was there and caused trouble. But why? He visited many other islands without rioting. We also know, that his body is special in some kind of way, stated by marc, so its possible for him to eat two, or more devil fruits. We also know, that he read the book about devil fruits. So I came to the idea, maybe he visited drumm because he knew about wapols devil fruit and as we know, wapol can fuse two persons if he eats them. (chess+marimo=chessimo) so maybe he forced wapol to eat him and somebody else, so he can have more devil fruit powers. The easiest explanation would be, that blackbeard had two brothers, triplets. Which would also explain his flag, but thats just a speculation.

I once thought something similar to this. Only I thought that Blackbeard was looking for the strongest of each type of fruit. And During the Impel down arc I was(and still am) confused what 'awaken zoan' was. I then thought that if an animal ate the same type of fruit it was a most powerful type of that animal. Lion eats the lion lion fruit was an awaken zoan. I think this is wrong BUT I once thought that Blackbeard was on Drum looking for the Human Human fruit to become as that would have been the most powerful type of zoan.
TLDR: I don't understand what an awaken zoan is.

I picked up that Shiny volume 73 this weekend as well.
For Xmas I was given an ipad. I downloaded the one free One Piece chapter off Itunes. Pages are the perfect size same as the volumes but 2 page spreads are much more enjoyable on the ipad.
Does anyone know if there is a special way to get the digital back issues for a cheap price? I'm going to keep collecting the printed volumes but all other comics including One Piece I may start buying digitally on this ipad.

I think that Sugars Devil fruit is one of the most powerful destructive life ruining thing to show up in the manga. I think that maybe the hobby hobby fruit was used to help create the blank century. All the old members of the ancient kingdom were turned into toys and forgotten about.

Finally found a used copy of the English Color Walk 1 at a Half Price Books. I've been searching for this thing for years. It's in pretty good shape, only the top part of the cover is a bit scuffed but everything else is fine. It says that it originally sold new for 14.99US but they sold it to me used for 25 bucks. I see online that a new copy can go for over 80 to 100 bucks.
Not much official english translated stuff available other than the manga now.

Was Sanji on the boat when Jola was using her art powers? I was thinking that maybe Sanji got a new photo but was under the art art fruits powes at the time.

I just recently discovered Crunchyroll. (Where has this been all my life?) signed up for the pay version at less than 8 bucks a month and all this anime streamed legally. Look at all those Fairy Tail eps. Been watching some good stuff that I can't even pronounce like. 'brumhilda?" and some drama about kids from under the ocean that I thought was pretty good and now Silver Spoon.
I wonder how long each series will be on there before being removed? Is there any precedent for a series to have a short life with past episodes being removed? Are most of the series what are current in Japan? I see some old stuff from the US like Galaxy High.
