lol i just thought of this, why didn't Law told the SH about the ability of Doflamingo? this information could have been very advantageous for the crew, especially the fighters, or was he thinking of fighting Doffy alone from the start so he doesn't feel the need to do so?
One Piece 724 : Law’s Plan.

@Aru:
This is actually a pretty big thing. I mean when was the last time we had a villain who cares about his subordinates? Buggy did, Arlong too and probably Blackbeard does also, but isn't that everything? It's a pretty rare thing to see in a villain in OP (or I just forgot about A LOT of villains who did this).
Are you sure? I can't remember anything supporting that. And about Blackbeard, I'm not sure, we'll see.

Liked the chapter very much. A lot of information. The talk about Sanji is really a bad joke from my POV. Without Sanji the crew would have been fucked several times. Here in this situation it was the same. He held Flamingo back for some time and was able to save his nakama. Besides Robin Sanji is by far the smartest guy in the crew. Zorro on the other hand is DUMB AS SHIT. Sanji is a great swimmer who can practiacally fly and asess situations very well. He takes care of weaker crewmembers and always brings in important oberservations to better the crews strategy in a fight. Almost every character we know woul lose against Flamingo if they wouldnt know his DF. Luffy lost against Ceasar even after the TS. If OP were more realistic Ceasar would have killed him. Not because he is stronger but because Luffy is pretty dumb and naive. Sanji might not be as strong as Luffy and Zoro in physical strenght but since when is that the only deciding factor in a battle?
Sanji lost. But he only lost so fast cause of the Ito Ito no mi. Luffy didnt last much longer in his first round against fucking Ceasar and normally would be dead if he wouldnt be the main character of the story.Regarding the chapter. Momo mentions the name Sangoru after he asks for Kine and Kanjurou. Could this be the third samurai that was with them when the got stranded on Dressrosa?
Fujitora is pretty epic eating ramen while going on a fucking rampage but why does he want to go to Dressrosa? Pretty interesting if you think about it. Oda keeping it interesting with the little things. -
@The:
Law just needs to point at him.
And until now, Fighting Fish have been literally swarming the bridge, jumping into it because Bullhorns.Hell, before this, Green Bit probably had oodles of wildlife to choose from.
The adventures of Doffy and Fujitora, the amazing ladybugs
I think he's ability to shambles is probably limited to the proportion of things been exchanged. As in he wasn't replacing himself with pebbles, its kind of like how kawarimi works or the law of alchemy.
Although he could just exchange DD with a fish and watch him drown.

Best chapter of the year for me so far. As a sanji fan, a law can, and someone who wasn't enjoying the slow pace of the arc this chapter delivered, delivered, delivered. I knew Sanji wouldn't win and I hoped he would have faired ever so slightly better against donflamingo but I'm satisfied with his performance. He was the Gino smith of the strawhats this week if you will. Your expectations weren't high, he did a respectable job, but you still wish he was a little better.
Law is just a fucking beast. He's a playboy, college educated don draper. He needs a spin off series for real because I love watching him work but he's eating up strawhat screen time too much.
I didn't really like donflamingo but he's slowly growing on me. The fight was cool though and I'm liking how Much info we got across this chapter. An awful lot happened.

@Aru
True, very true. Another interesting thing about Doflamingo's crew is that there's a lot of women in it - and bar Whitebeard's nurses, we've yet to see a crew with more than two women. It's a big oddity because of the age and looks of the women as well as how they're treated. In Doffy's crew they're not eye-candy - look at the little girl and Baby for example. Both are treated like little sisters (even if Baby doesn't want to be XD ). It's another thing I like about Doffy - he's like a more conniving and twisted Whitebeard. Family values with Mafia mentality. He makes for a very interesting villain when compared to some of the pirates we've met in the past.Hell, look at his interactions with the low denominator of his crew, even. Bellamy, when we first met him, was at best a fledgeling rookie and when he messed up Doffy took almost immediate interest in it. He dealt the punishment and now gives him a (twisted from our point of view) chance to redeem himself. That Bellamy is struggling so much with the choice - between Luffy and Doffy - says that there's something about Doffy that could mirror Luffy's charm. Maybe instead of Blackbeard we should be looking at Doffy as the anti-Luffy. With Oda at the wheel, who knows? He could probably set up one guy as the big bad and twist-punt it to another team entirely.
In that vein, I would laugh so hard if it turns out that the Celestial Dragons are somehow protecting the world - literally, not just in their own mind - from some big bad and Luffy turns out to be the villain of the whole series by unleashing hell in some way, shape or form. (Then having to put it back to rest by working with the groups that Oda has built up to be TEH EBIL).

Doflamingo is at LEAST equal to Crocodile, who beat Luffy twice, managed to slice Akainu in half, and left Marineford with only a popped blood vessel.
I like Law's quote, "Aren't there countless people who underestimated [the Straw Hats] and got burned like that?" Dude certainly does his homework haha. And he's got some faith in the crew… either way, I highly doubt that Law OR Dofla are gonna die. Luffy would never allow a friend of his to die, especially in a murder/suicide. (whether or not Law sees Luffy as a friend doesn't matter haha.) I bet the Kid/Apoo/Hawkins alliance will come in at some point and throw a wrench in everything.
I like how the analytical Sanji who made Mr. Prince so interesting is back; I'm glad he noticed how much Law is focusing on Dofla and how that doesn't really mesh with the plan they were all working on and he actually asked Law about it. I can only assume that he's gonna relay that back to everyone ("Law's got something personal with Doflamingo…"), tho I don't know how that will affect the situation, if it will at all.
I wonder what Dofla did to 13-year-old Law to cause Law to make such a convoluted plan just to take down Dofla.
That was what DD said in last chapter and Law is using it like a talk back to him when he said he will go to Dressrosa and capture the remaining half of SHs
-
I don't get this. He told Monet to fall, someone that cared will tell Monet to escape somehow and take care of herself.
dont bother dude doflamingo by far has the worst fanboys in the entire series that one guy even said that its obvoius to see that dofla cares about his crew sorry dude but the only thing that is obvoius is your fanatic fanboyism I wonder what made it so obvoius for him the facts that he forgot about them 5 seconds after he thought they died or maybe its that giant smile he had on his face while he askd monet to die for him
-
That was what DD said in last chapter and Law is using it like a talk back to him when he said he will go to Dressrosa and capture the remaining half of SHs
Nah, I realize that haha. But it's nice to hear words of (somewhat??) praise for the Straw Hats come out of Law's mouth, even if it is mocking.
-
Although he could just exchange DD with a fish and watch him drown.
Wow, this situation is becoming more contrived the harder we think about it.
That's not a good sign.
Law is just a fucking beast. He's a playboy, college educated don draper. He needs a spin off serious for real because I love watching him work but he's eating up strawhat screen time too much.
Oh god please no.
Maybe instead of Blackbeard we should be looking at Doffy as the anti-Luffy. With Oda at the wheel, who knows? He could probably set up one guy as the big bad and twist-punt it to another team entirely.
I think they're more like a trio. Blackbeard is the straight Nega Luffy, there's no discounting him.
-
I like how Law mention to Doflamingo the underestimating the stawhats thing, cause for saying something like that he is still underestimating them.
-
Are you sure? I can't remember anything supporting that. And about Blackbeard, I'm not sure, we'll see.
He had a whole arc where he wanted to get back to his crew at the beginning of the series. He was VERY happy to see them when he broke out of jail and the first thing he did was introduce them to the rest of powerful pirates. It's sate to assume he really cares about them, since he never called them trash etc.
-
-
Sanji did his job, we can't ask more, this is DD, not a random pirate.
Law finally shows his cards, he's ready to die, but he forgot his nakama (what are they going to do if he dies ^^) -
BTW, how did DD block that barrage from Sanji?
-
Regarding the chapter. Momo mentions the name Sangoru after he asks for Kine and Kanjurou. Could this be the third samurai that was with them when the got stranded on Dressrosa?
I noticed this too, and it could indeed be the name of the third missing samurai, or maybe a nickname for Sanji, guess we'll have to wait for CCC or Aohige to comment.

wonder how doflamingo does his recruiting. he has two kids in his crew so i'm guessing he might start them young and brain washes them into worshiping him pretty much. law seems to be a young recruit as well. wonder if he is also the one who gives the kids devil fruits and basically intimidates them into winning fights or else risk being severely punished.
-
Nice chapter. Waiting for a better translation.
BTW, how did DD block that barrage from Sanji?
He's Batman.
-
Man…I absolutely loved the hell out of this chapter.
The plot progression, the reveals, the exposure and naming of Dofla's devil fruit, the action, Fujitora in general...man, just excellent, excellent stuff.
-
So now we know that Dofla isn't just a stepping stone to bigger things for Law, he is the only stone. I'm really intrigued to see what Dofla did to Law that was so unforgivable, especially considering that Dofla was still holding the heart seat for him until very recently.
-
Great to see Dofla's DF, the Ito Ito no Mi finally named and some more of it's abilities explained/showcased. Dat whip.
-
I expect things in Zou will not go smoothly, after the trouble Kinemon and co. ran into there last time. This will probably lead to a fairly big battle for Sanji and allow him to show off his leadership/tactical skills.
-
Despite what people are saying, losing to Dofla as he did in that battle does not make Sanji look weak, nor does it make him weak. He took a head on attack from Dofla's at the time unidentified DF that was capable of amputating Oars.Jnr's leg. Dofla looked suprised that Sanji recovered from said attack and then complimented Sanji on his strength, before resorting to using his DF's puppeteering ability. Sanji falling to this ability does not make him look weak either, a goddamn yonkou commander got caught by this technique.
-
Law was just awesome in this chapter, he seems to have really mastered his DF and looks real badass while exercising his powers.

This chapter is awesome and really confused me, too..
First, what the hell is this drink? Meat King?
And Law used Shambles without Room.. that's insane. Right after that, he replaced himself with Doflamingo, that's even more insane… wonder why didn't he replace Doflamingo with something in the sea..

Wait! Isn't he Spider-Man?
Realistically speaking, Batman is better with robes and whips than Spiderman.
Also the Cape!!1!

Shambles, room, shambles, room law law law, tired of this s.hit.

Sanji for the first time use Diable Jambe on both legs and run a barrage on DD, something DD blocked with his cloak and then compliment Sanji. Yeah sure, that is a compliment.
Kinemon and co set out for Zou but didn't get there. I don't think the crew will go to Zou though or at least Sanji won't go with them
-
-
That was pretty great, huh? Didn't expect it to top the previous chapter so I was surprised!
We finally get Doffy's power … and now we can see more of how he'll fight, rather than just clawing people :p
Sanji made a pretty good showing, although he was thwarted by Doffy. He made a slight comeback after being clawed and was very preceptive of the gap in Law's logic - ie the mismatch between his stated plan and his actions.
Law was pretty great too. It's nice to see this isn't just cold calculating Law working on taking out Kaido, but is actually more of a personal vendetta. Pretty much confirms that we will after all get Law backstory.
Doffy stopping when Jora was in trouble is yet another reminder that he is pretty much the first major boss antagonist to actually give a damn about his crew since ... Arlong?
We also seem to have gotten the name of the third samurai, which is nice (unless I grossly misunderstood).
Annnnd ... it's looking plausible now that this arc will be spread over two islands, possibly geographically (like some events are happening in Dressrosa while others happen on Zou) but I guess it's still much to early to make a call on any of that.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh, also, I'm thinking maybe Law had his crew wait at Zou while he did this whole thing because he kinda knew he'd probably die? And he didn't want to take his crew with him? If so that's kinda nice :D
-
This chapter just screams -Devilfruit is really needed for New world-.. Dofla Stringing around, Law Rooming around and Fuji Gravity-ing around…
The only surprise for me in this chapter was Sanji didn't know about Dofla ability, thought Sanji and Robin will be the ones in crew who knows that much...
-
Unfortunately I'm in work and can't see the image you put up, a description perchance?
-
Lol moment when Fujitora was eating noodles at the warship. Hahaha
-
So doflamingo is Joker and spiderman at the same time.
That's quite an achievement. -

He did seem fairly impressed with Sanji's resilience and attacking skill. I doubt Dofla would have bothered to immobilise Sanji if he saw him as a weakling.
I think they'll get to Zou and bring Law's crew back as reinforcements. Really want to see Bepo and Jean Bart again.

Law would have needed a bigger Room. If he did that, its only logical to think a bigger one would take more time to open up than a smaller one. Sanji would have died. Lets say Law did open a gigantic Room and switched DD with something in the ocean. What then?
-
That was a great chapter. Thanks for the translations!
I think theres a fair chance now that Doflamingo will be wiped out by Kaido himself not Luffy and co.

Or after Luffy defeats him in a difficult and exhausting fight, then chapters later we see Kaido casually beat/whop Dofla's ass like a bug(its called: using character to hype another).

This arc have Doffy vs. Luffy written all over it IMO
-
so as far as Law was concerned, Kaidou was merely a fail-safe just in case he himself was killed before getting to kill Dofla, so to speak.
Law's abilities are still far too convenient for my liking, here's to hoping it gets nerfed soon.
also the thrid samurai finally has a name, Sangurou. I was wondering if Oda had forgotten him lol

Doflamingo is a DF User, isn't he? He will surely drown.

Great chapter, loved it.
I now know why Law was alone at PH, his crew is safe at Zou while he is risking his life for a personal vendetta, and that makes me think; Law intended to capture CC alone back in PH. He also intended to stop the smile production by himself so that kaidou could then kill DD. The strawhats have only been a mere tool for Law, because of them he was able to win some time by relying on luffy and the rest to do things that he was planning to do himself when landing on PH.
It is obvious that Law is not going to die, and that he is going to meet with the strawhats left in dressrosa somehow so, will he still want to go after kaidou? How will Luffy react as to why Law lied to him?
-
As I read the first page of this chapter, I thought, 'huh, is Mangapanda actually doing a decent job this time?' but then I saw "premier hachis". Quick, someone with a French background, translate that monstrosity.
The "heat" attacks are kind of bothering me too, but "over hit" doesn't make sense. Does someone have the raw as a reference?
-
I'm assuming Law's room can't exist in water since it's a DF ability, classic DF weakness would negate it. At least that's the most logical explanation i can think of.
-
This arc have Doffy vs. Luffy written all over it IMO
Yeah, true. But I meant as in his life really finished off by Kaido.

Given the nature of devil fruits I think it might be possible that rooms area of effect cannot extend below the sea thus making switching fish shenanigans a no go. It's just merely a guess though.
-
can DF power work underwater? if not law wont be able to switch dofla with a fish.
