Re-reading the series right now and just started volume 14.
Luffy vs Dorry is underrated. It's very short but every panel is a beauty.
Then you'll love Luffy, Usopp, and Carue vs Mr. 3, Mr. 5, and Ms. Valentine
=D

er… I get the impression that you think this was my first time reading the series. I wrote that I was 're-reading volume 14.' This is my fourth time taking on the entire series.
Well, regardless that is a fun fight also but I always thought the way the Usopp saved Vivi, Zoro and Nami was a little far fetched.

I thought you were re-reading and finding enjoyment in fights that were underrated and had great art. IMO Mr.3 vs the crew was one of the most underrated and well drawn within the series. And I liked how they saved the crew, who would've thought that Mr.3's hair was really on fire.
KuHahahaha!
=D
I started to think One Piece has so many great fights that we could very well create discussion for fights in each saga separately.

We probably could, but I think the last fight in each Saga would surely take the cake as the best. Which is why I'm looking forward to how the Punk Hazard arc's going to end.
=D
If Akainu vs. Aokiji is ever drawn.
THIS ONE
Zoro and Sanji Vs. The Groggy Monsters
Zoro Vs. Ryuuma
Sanji Vs. Jyabura
Luffy Vs. Blueno
Franky Vs. Furokou (loved how they kept exchanging blows to the face)
Usopp Vs. Chu
But my favorite will always be Luffy Vs. Crocodile. I wet myself when he laid that first hook across Crocodiles face.

It's a royal SHAME this fight didn't continue this path of incredible awesomeness. It's not like I totally hate Giraffe Kaku vs. Zoro, but it's definitely worse than this first steps of the fight, were the fight coreography is excellent. I mean, just look at this:
http://www.mangareader.net/103-2508-9/one-piece/chapter-401.html
That dodge, that fucking dodge is insane. Jackie Chan used it a couple of times, and it's one of my favourite moves ever.
Again, the Giraffe fight was kinda ok, some great moves on Zoro's part, but it felt so unconnected. There was no acton-reaction. It felt like a turn based rpg; now I throw my attack, which might or might not be effective, then it's your turn. These first steps with Kaku in human form was a pure fucking rush of super human martial arts and beauty. A shame.
I am sorta a fan of one sided fights. I really enjoyed Luffy vs Bellamy and Luffy vs Bluno both were awesome fights that really illustrate how much more dangerous the crew can be when they are serious specifically Luffy. I also really liked Luffy vs Ussop for obv reasons and Chopper vs Kumadori because he goes monster point for the first time which is just crazy.
luffy vs arlong
luffy vs crocodile
luffy vs lucci
Luffy Vs Blueno
Luffy Vs Lucci
Zoro Vs Mihawk
Zoro Vs Ryuuma
Nami Vs Kalifa
Strawhats Vs Oars
There are tons of fights that I love in One Piece, but Luffy vs. Rob Lucci is my absolute favorite. You felt that the fight could go on forever… Just an incredible fight.
Any love for Luffy vs Foxy?
@Vash:
Any love for Luffy vs Foxy?
There was one thing I really loved about this fight. I was AFRO POWER, of course

16 chars of total agreement
Luffy v. 2 adjacent buildings
Zoro v. a chimney(not to be confused with Chimney the character)
Luffy v Arlong's nose
Usopp v. Perona
Luffy in Shirahoshi's room v. Vander Decken's axe
Sanji v. Ishilly's boobs
These are not the most awesome in my opinion, but they stuck out to me
There was one thing I really loved about this fight. I was AFRO POWER, of course
The afro definitely needs to return.
The afro definitely needs to return.
Roger's afro is what he left behind. It is the key to the void century and holds the power to take down the world government.
luffy vs crocodile, all 3 fights
they r just too epic
Luffy VS. Blueno (G2 was easily one of the best moments for me, I had no idea it was coming)
Luffy VS. Bellamy
Luffy VS. Lucci
Zoro VS. Mihawk
Ace vs Blackbeard
Luffy vs Lucci
Zoro vs Ryuma
Obviously there are more
ALL the fights in SA (by FAR my favorite OP arc, one of my favorite arcs in any series)
I see the mentions of Luffy v. Arlong…does anyone know why the anime actually shortened a fight instead of lengthening it?? They kind of butchered the greatest fight in the east blue
Couldn't get enough of Luffy vs Lucci and Luffy vs Blueno. Both were the best fights ever.
Screw that, I just loved EVERYTHING in cp9 saga. I doubt any arc/saga will ever top it in any way possible.
Strawhats vs Moriah and Oars
Luffy vs Lucci
Whitebeard vs Akainu
Law vs Smoker
Usopp vs Perona
I was negative from the start!
Law v Smoker was basically Smoker getting blindsided
Luffy vs Don Krieg. I've always loved that fight. It was Luffy's first real challenge and very intense.
I also like:
Luffy, Law, and Kid vs the Marines is another I really loved. But, that's more a moment than a fight.
I want to include Luffy VS Zepher into my list
Zoro vs bounty hunters(wisky peak)
Luffy vsbellamy (jaya)
Zoro vsMr.1
Luffy vs crocodile round 3
Paramount war was just a huge battle
Zoro vs. Mr. 1
Zoro vs. Ryuuma
Law vs. Vergo
Ace vs. Blackbeard
Luffy vs. Blueno
Straw Hats vs. Oars
This is the most epic fight in One Piece!
es increíble~
!
They are all awesome but my favourite gotta be Luffy vs Lucci.
Nami n Usopp vs. Enel …
it's never fail to make me laugh...
Anything that isn't luffy, I usually hate his fights…...well except for the Nightmare Luffy vs Oz.
Luffy vs Lucci
Nami vs Kalifa
Luffy vs Blueno, just because the first time you see second gear your jaw hits the floor, along with an epic quote.
Zoro vs the people at Wisky Peak.
Luffy vs Lucci (easily)
Luffy vs 3 Admirals (sooo unexpected and kinda ridiculous!)
Also liked the fights involving Zephyr (Kizaru, Luffy, All marines at the end). It showed extensive Haki-imbued fighting styles which were awesome!
Brooke vs Spidermonkey.
The challenge of iron back in Skypeia was really good. You can't go wrong with Zoro vs. Wyper vs. Ohm vs. Eneru's mooks vs. snake vs. Shandian mooks vs. Ohm's dog. All in a giant barbed-wire cage match.
luffy vs lucci
Ace vs Blackbeard
StrawHats versus Oars + every other battle where Sanji uses Armè de l'Aire
Ussop vs Luffy
StrawHats vs Oz
I always liked Enel vs. Zoro, Wiper, Robin and Ganfall. Such awsome display of power. Just takes them on 1 vs 4 like a boss. And when he looses proceedes to revive himself like a real god.
Zoro vs Mihawk is another example of us getting a glimps of the really strong guys, way before their apperance became common. Those are the fights I liked best.
Zoro vs Kuma is my favorite
Lucci vs luffy in my opinion
Zoro vs kuma and zoro vs mr1 were also epic
Although it was very short, but most awesome for me is Zoro vs. T-Bone.
I tend to like Zoro fights though.
First and final fight between Luffy and Crocodile. Just when Luffy was getting hooked by Crocodile off Scissors, he and Zoro exchanged glances. You can really see at Zoro's face that this was the first time he felt nervous for Luffy's chances in a fight. And his (Along with the rest of the crew's) nervousness and doubt proved to be true as Crocodile showed Luffy the gap between their levels. The third fight was literally a battle of wills, Luffy's will refusing to bend over to the physical and verbal assaults of Crocodile. He kept putting Luffy down, his dreams, his simple-mindedness, yet what ultimately prevailed was the idea that if you fight for your ideals with conviction, no matter who you're up against, you'll always have a fighting chance.
The fights in Thriller Bark were fun. They weren't your conventional all-out brawls. Each opponent had a twist, they used trickery and cunning to make life difficult for the Strawhats instead of brute strength(Which CP9 did) so that was a nice change of pace.
