If Goku never stepped out of the ring, i don't see Luffy doing it.
And as the person above you posted, it appears that outside the ring is pure water, so luffy won't accidently do it. Heck think back on the fight with Krieg, he manuevered around the debris on teh ocean expertely. Luffy has great balance. He didnt' fall out on Amazon Lily when fighting. Luffy when fighting is 100% serious and no jokes get involved. Yes he does stupid stuff, but he is serious doing them. he won't accidently step or fall out of ring.

He on purpose shot himself away from teh ring with a kemehameha and would have won if he didn't go flying into the side of a bus.
The comment was that luffy would do it by accident or something. Goku did it by design, he knew he was going to land outside fo the ring. He took a risk.

I see no problem in Luffy losing since unlike in Dragonball in which the tournament was the most important part of the whole arc, the tournament in OP is just a set up to get the real plot line going.

Pretty crap chapter. Almost nothing happened even though it focused on one story. Interesting to see pretty boy and Rebecca in the same group, Luffy seems to have it easy then, all fodder against him unless there's a surprise. Would be interesting if he haki KOs everyone and the fight is over in the first second. :P
Both Aokiji and now Bellamy are talking about something big happening soon, I wonder how big of an impact Law messing up with Dofla's plans will have on the New World. The way he was talking you would think he has a good chance vs Barto… Should be interesting.

It's the current volume out.A volume covers roughly 10 chapters, and there's only 4 weeks in a month ya know.

Well just reaching Skypeia would be a revelation since Bellamy refused to 'believe in dreams' and believed that places like the sky islands didn't exist. Lets remember that his crew was stuck at Jaya since their log pose was pointing up to the sky islands but they didn't believe they existed. So finally reaching it would be a big moment for Bellamy, revealing 1- he shouldn't laugh at other's dreams and 2- even if the problem (stuck at Jaya) seems to have an impossible solution, don't dismiss it.
He said he lost a few men, not a Moria type situation.
And we knew that Skypieans killed since the first second the crew arrived there. They were instantly attacked by Shandians and then Gan Fall mentions about how people are killed.
And shoudl the skypieans not protect themselves from pirates? Especially types like Bellamy and his crew.
Add to that that Conis was surprised that all the Strawhats did not have trouble breathing at all, she implied that most people had trouble adjusting to the thinner air, just as Gedatsu (SP?) had trouble breathing when he first left the White sea and arrived down in the Blue Sea.

Maybe, but he also seems stronger, and while Rebecca seems to have a deep backstory relating to Dressrosa and Dofla, Cavendish is only here for the tournament, so I would rather have him winning, we'll see more of Rebecca later in the arc anyways

Bout how Bellamy went to Skypia, I just can think of "High West" (stated by Ganfall). Gan Fall also stated:"By knock up stream, there are 2 options: no one make it or all make it." This pretty much states that if you go by High West, you lose sum of your crew, just like Bellamy stated this chap.

I think Bellamy's the key for Luffy to….understand how Doflamingo functions with his subordinates? Up to this point, he's the only Dofla underling he's actually familar with....while he knows virtually nothing about the boss himself, other than Law's "hey, he's a Shichibukai and we need to stop him".

Yea I can see Bellamy helping to get us to understand why Monet and others are willing to die for Doflamingo.
Oda will use Bellamy as someoen to toss in a flashback or something to illustrate where he gets his loyalty from.
