Huh, so I guess you don't like Luffy… Usopp... Brook... Robin... so half the crew, then. (Chopper doesn't count.)

I remember when Monet was revealed as a malicous evil chick who actively took part in the inhumane experiments conducted on those kids and tried to secure them as Caesar's valuable experiments, yet some people still pretended it was all some sort of an adowable maternal instinct on her part.
You act like her actions in knowingly sacrificing children to create artificial fruit is something Luffy wouldn't support. Man you just don't understand Luffy at all.

I remember when Monet almost ate Chopper whole, and people still insisted she was secretly assisting him
And when people insisted she had no real loyalty to to Doflamingo, she was FORCED to do the mean things because otherwise he'd kill her
There seems to be a case of every female character being introduced, they have to be the new nakama in the crew despite if it makes sense or not. How many people already going for Rebecca for nakama?

About 70-80% of APF members
Monet for Nakama cus her glasses adds huge amounts of character depth

Overestimating a little? Take off the zeros and it's still too high.
YOUR, Omg@@@@
But yes, yes it is hahahahha
Yeah - I'm going to blame speed typing without thinking - but already corrected … just like your Sig :P
Your Sig is interesting …
Well in my case the things are different. I am not from those who just see someone and already claim him/her as nakama. I had no interest at Monet until we learn about her Logia powers.
Just ignore me for now
I remember when some people suggested Rebecca and seemed not to notice that she has glaring Namiface. Or that she's boring. Or that her name starts with R.
I remember when some people suggested Shirahoshi and seemed not to notice that she has Namiface. Or her being far too young for a split tail, far too large for the Sunny, any DF to fix these problems making her being a mermaid pointless, her being royalty, her only combat ability being a huge Deux Ex Machina, or that her name starts with an S.
@Big:
Or that her name starts with R.

I don't get these.
I don't get these.
Robin and Sanji. Not a hard set rule but many authors would be driven crazy if several of their main characters had names starting with the same letter. I know it'd bug the heck out of me.
I don't get these.
That none of the Strawhats have overlapping first letters to their names.
I don't get these.
It was sarcasm about those saying that each crew member will must have a name with a different first letter
Luffy
Zoro
Nami
Usopp
Sanji
Chopper
Robin
Franky
Brook
That none of the Strawhats have overlapping first letters to their names.
Rules out a lot of people then including Sabo :P
I don't get these.
None of the crew's names start with the same letter, that includes Jinbei, so Rebecca can't join because of Robin and Shirahoshi can't join because of Sanji.
That none of the Strawhats have overlapping first letters to their names.
I always thought people read too much into this.

Oh god did this really happened.

Indeed it did. Because yelling I won't let you take the children (She's been giving drugs to) and biting a chunk out of some guy is just a protective mother.

These dudes are going to end up with awful abusive women lol.

He hey hey!….
I have no problem with my wife biting me...
I'm a little late, but you can sign me up for the not dead camp.
I'm in. She's dead
…Not that it's even an argument for anything in the first place, but the "first letters shouldn't be shared" doesn't make any sense, because the base language that these characters were created in isn't English.
Oda could have Robin and her brother Rubin on the crew and it wouldn't violate this imaginary rule, because "ro" and "ru" are different "letters" in Japanese.

You'll hurt poor Rufi's feelings if you're not careful.

In fairness it is a bit of a case of "crying wolf." The chatter around her makes more sense than previous "candidates" who had fighting ability just because she is set up by the story to potentially be relevant to the arc plot. Monet/etc. didn't really have that.
Edit to avoid double post:
If it's still possible to vote, I guess I will throw my hat in with the "Dead" group on the basis that the "fatal blow" was actually seen. While "obviously dead" characters have come back, their deaths generally happened offscreen, whereas with Bellemere/Ace/etc. we actually had a panel showing them being struck. There might be a little funny business with snow logia + icicle, but still.
I'd say she's alive but my problem is this:
"We have to know definitively, or if she is not seen or mentioned to alive after the next cover story begins, the dead camp wins"
She's probably alive but the dead camp have a huge chance of winning anyways… Cough Bellamy was long to come back Cough

Nope. We saw the spike hit the box of blood. Very next chapter, spike was nowhere near the heart and in an unusual position.

The big problem here is that, when that addendum was made to the wager, it seemed like the current arc was going to end, which would lead to the normal Oda patterns, and the chapter of her re-appearance almost to the week. Instead, it segued straight into this arc, including carrying the main villain and his boss over in a prominent role, so that throws things off a lot.
The previous arc not actually ending means the next cover story isn't obligated to follow up on the previous story like it usually does, like with Geddatsu or CP9. The same thing happened with Lola and then Bon Kurei. We knew they were alive, but the arc lead straight into the next one and then a timeskip meant it took 2 years to get his survival confirmed, (and 3 for Lola) rather than the usual handful of months. And hell, Bellamy showing up after 11 years pretty much puts the kibosh on anything else.
I'm still perfectly willing to wear the losing sig, however wrongly it's applied, but the story itself is making the reveal likely further down the line than it seemed like it would be 4 months ago. Can't really just push back the due date indefinitely, but the arc not actually ending makes it all funky.
Still, should know pretty much the minute the next cover story starts if its going to get to her or not based on where it starts taking place. If it instead goes off to follow Foxy or PX-1 or something, it gets weird and defies all Oda's usual patterns from the last 15 years. I dunno.
(Maybe an addendum to the addendum. "If the next cover story focuses on Punk Hazard?)
Monet"s fate should still come up sometime this arc I feel, I can't see Oda not giving us a conclusion to Monet and Vergo's whereabouts when this is the major arc dealing with DD. I could be wrong but I think they mcome up again in future chapters.

Yea, either this or in a cover story after this arc depending how bad of a wound she got. Honestly, if she is alive I would love her to fight against Robin in this arc to awaken her haki.

…why would Robin get Haki?
Aside from the fact that she doesn't have the sheer overwhelming drive and Ambition (with a capital A) to unleash the talent in the first place.... but given that the three monster physical brute powerhouse natural fighters that have it now needed a two year timeskip to train it, anyone else getting it now isn't going to get much use out of it... and it diminishes the specialness of it even more. The whole crew isn't going to get it.
lol
I love the fact that 170 people think she is dead

No special reason, I just want to believe the whole crew is going to get it eventually, no matter how weak it will be in the end. Their theme is about ambitions after all.
And considering half the New World has it, I can't really say it's that special.
lol

Hey, at the time, I was weighing both sides and the scene itself.
Plus I switched sides eventually. :/
Wait a minute…
Wasn't Monet's heart was on that S.A.D tanker that the G-5 marines took?

Oh. Somehow I thought Caesar was on the ship when he stabbed the heart… Now that I look again it's pretty clear he wasn't.
So this is the last time we see her heart:

haki is not something you "awake",at least not busoushoku..kenbunshoku is a possibility, but it would be tu little use against a logia

Actually it is. You can get it by either by awakening it or by training. Either way you have to train it for it be of any real use, so you might have point there.
But it would not be the first time main character would get a crazy power-up during fight
I see no reason why you couldn't awaken Busoshoku Haki, since you can awake the 2 other types.

Haoshoku Haki has been only available to a select few, at least it was described as such on Amazon Lily.
I know I have no reason to think it is true, but put me in the Dead Camp.
Monet is dead.
I know I'll regret it but this is my leap of faith. I have to believe that Oda's… Odaness only goes so far.
Broad got stabbed in the heart....
@Citizen:
Broad got stabbed in the heart….
No she didn't. Blood cube was hit and shook her up, same as Smoker and Law, but only the ground was stabbed. Her heart probably wasn't actually touched.
She'd been coughing up blood and moving badly since Tashigi hit her, so she wasn't reacting to a new injury when she fainted. She's fine. And even if her heart was stabbed, that's not 100% fatal even in real life.

Noooo, the edge of the weapon definitely pierced the heart. She was stabbed.

Its a question of how deeply she was stabbed at this point but the cube was spurting blood in response to CC jamming a thing into it. You don't get anymore "stabbed" than that.
The only thing your panel shows is that the stick hadn't fully impaled the heart…. or that CC simply pulled the stick back out before he passed out himself.
